An Inbal Dror Bride for a Bright, Summery Jewish Wedding at Beit Hanan, Israel

One of the many reasons we love a good Israeli wedding is that the laid-back, cool vibe is simply impossible to replicate. Nir and Zlil’s Jewish wedding juxtaposed bright, summery colors and the natural beauty of their venue with a chic, urban aesthetic, created by fabulous photographers and insanely talented Recommended Vendors, Luz.

Beautiful bride, Zlil, looked every bit the ethereal, fairy princess in her stunning wedding ensemble. We are ridiculously in love with Inbal Dror‘s designs – sexy, confident, glamorous – and Zlil wore her glittery, dreamy gown like she was born for it. We’re not ashamed to admit we all have a massive girl crush on Zlil here at STG HQ. The couple look simply incredible together, like a pair of movie stars.

We really enjoyed the special wooden wedding wall, made just for the occasion, with candy and bubble guns available for instant fun! Yes please! The resulting effect was a dreamscape of bubbles floating about the ceremony – absolutely magical.

It’s one of those weddings we wish we’d attended – even just to sample the incredible spread on offer by caterer Taste and Color!

Videographer Tovy Berkovich created an absolutely amazing, cinematic wedding trailer, showcasing the best bits of Zlil and Nir’s big day in such an effortless and elegant way.

How we met

Zlil, the bride: We studied at the same high school, but we barely knew each other until we got to the army. Nir served in the air force in Haifa as a course commander, and continued to study engineering. During our service, our relationship developed.

A Henry Roth Bride for a Magical Rock Garden Jewish Wedding at The Mount, Lenox, Massachusetts, USA

Today’s visually arresting real Jewish wedding marries black tie-chic with a quaint, English country garden theme. Using a soft color palette of nudes and greys, and an abundance of sprawling floral arrangements, Alexandra and Nicholas created an absolute vision of wedding pretty.

The Mount, chosen, in part, for its literary history, provided the perfect backdrop for a vintage-inspired, English garden aesthetic. The rock garden, in which the pair exchanged vows, was an idyllic setting for a truly magnificent, flower-heavy chuppah, which genuinely looked like a permanent part of the magical garden.

Beautiful bride, Alexandra, looked simply incredible in her Henry Roth gown and skyscraper Christian Louboutin heels, surrounded by bridesmaids in gorgeous grey.

A DIY ‘Jew-Bu’ Wedding at The Wildflower Barn, Driftwood, Texas, USA

There’s no two ways about it, Rachel and Michael’s gorgeous Texas Jew-Bu wedding ticks all of the STG boxes. Creative? Tick. Cool? Tick. Unique? Tick. Emotional? Tick. The couple’s quirky, alternative vibe was evident in every little detail.

With a little help from some very crafty friends, acupuncturist-moonlighting-as-an-office-manager, Rachel and product manager / DJ, Michael put their personalities into all of the DIY touches, from their origami cranes to their Tibetan prayer flag chuppah, their sunflower centerpieces to their gorgeous home baked cakes, courtesy of a friend.

Rachel looked every bit the beautiful bride in her stunning, textured Theia Couture gown, chosen for its immense huggability (totally a word), which we think is just adorable. We also have total style envy over her cute cat-eye makeup look and lashes!

The day was recorded for the ages by fabulous photographer, Caitlin McWeeney, we hope you enjoy the images, and Rachel’s brilliant write up, as much as we did.

How we met

Rachel, the bride: We met at a party in May of 2008. Michael was DJing. I danced. The rest is history!

An Epic Alice in Wonderland-themed Jewish Forest Wedding in Israel

What happens when two event planners get married? Only the most epic Alice in Wonderland-themed wedding of all time. No, seriously, not to go all Kanye on you, but of all time.

Bride Lihi has always loved Alice in Wonderland, with the story following her throughout key points of her life. So, naturally, when it came to marrying fellow event designer Ido, the pair began planning out how to bring the book to life with immaculate attention to detail.

From the stunning forest venue to the astounding floral china centrepieces, the abundance of colorful flowers (assembled by a team of ten florists!) and props to the actors who, in full costume, interacted with the guests, the wedding was just like stepping into the classic novel.

Let’s take a second to talk about Lihi’s show-stopping Zahavit Tshuba dress, with its lace top and tulle skirt – the absolute definition of Israeli chic, with all of the boldness and personality that we adore in Israeli brides.

The day, with its quirky and original paper flower chuppah, was beautifully shot by our dear friend and much-loved STG Recommended Vendor, Ran Bergman. Thank goodness, as this was truly worth preserving!

An Outdoor Jewish Wedding in the Bride’s Parents’ Garden, in Northamptonshire, UK

We have a HUGE treat on the blog today – not only was Susannah and Simon’s absolutely gorgeous backyard wedding shot by one of our phenomenal Recommended Vendors, the inimitable John Nassari, but beautiful bride, Susannah, is one of our founder, Karen’s, oldest childhood friends — they first met at school back in 1987 (yes we know that’s a VERY long time ago!). So, it’s safe to say, we have a lot of personal investment in this gorgeous big day, and for good reason – read on!

Susannah’s parents hosted the celebration, which took place in a field of golden buttercups, under a simple, portable chuppah, covered in twigs and wildflowers. The atmosphere was so fantastic and festive, that even the sheep were having a great time!

A hybrid of classic country garden chic and boho beautiful blooms, the big day was the absolute envy of all summer weddings.

And, speaking of envy, can we just talk about what an absolute vision Susannah looked in her breathtaking strapless gown? It could not have flattered her more, what a perfect choice for an already stunning woman.

We adore the heart and soul of the family’s involvement, the joy that is conveyed so clearly and perfectly through the photos – oh, and we’d quite like a slice of that divine buttercream cake if there’s any going!
