Hello, I’m Karen Cinnamon, the world’s #1 Jewish wedding expert and founder of Smashing The Glass, the world’s biggest Jewish wedding media platform, and our accompanying membership for Jewish brides, Brides Club.
I’m also the founder of Your Jewish Life™ – the premier podcast, Instagram account and weekly newsletter for Jewish and Jew(ish) millennials, that reaches, and positively impacts, over 4 million users every week.
I’m proud to have been featured in numerous publications such as the New York Times, BBC, Mail Online, and on BBC World News, and I was also recently named one of the top 100 Influential Jews of 2022 in the Jewish 100.
At Smashing The Glass we are deeply committed to the values of inclusivity, empowerment, and belonging for each and every couple.
It all started back in 2013, when I was preparing for my own wedding. It began to dawn on me that there was no single place that brought together creative, inventive and original ideas for style-focused Jewish (and Jew—ish) soon-to-be brides and grooms.
Of course, we all love certain traditions — they’re wonderful and can really enrich the experience — but contemporary couples don’t necessarily want their weddings entirely dictated by them. The most important element is to make their day completely personal, and carve their individuality into every detail. It has to mean something.
Do have a look around and explore our creative, innovative content — from the best real Jewish wedding and interfaith Jewish wedding eye candy, to expert advice and access to the most desirable wedding vendors.
Discover too, our Brides-to-be Members Club where I take you from overwhelmed to in control, and personally give you all the advice, inspiration, direction you need (plus 100’s of exclusive discounts from wedding vendors that I’ve personally handpicked to meet my rigorous standards) so you’re free to create a wedding that’s totally, utterly, wonderfully you.
Smashing The Glass’ Brides Club is the only place to be for Jewish brides-to-be planning a wedding during the pandemic. There’s everything you can think of to plan your wedding through the pandemic and beyond, and there’s also the chance to discuss the emotional aspect of getting engaged and married, in a safe, non-judgemental environment.
Please do join – I’d love to help you plan a day that truly reflects who you are and what’s important to you.
Oh, and once you get married, be sure to submit your wedding, so we can feature it on here. It’s my readers who ultimately make Smashing The Glass a must-read — and I can’t wait to hear from you.
OFFICIAL BIOGRAPHY
Award-winning designer Karen Cinnamon built a name for herself through her London digital and branding studio, which she founded and ran for over 10 years.
Her passion for all things creative led to her putting her own truly imaginative spin on her Jewish wedding — while at the same time spotting a gap in the market for an online hub that brought together individual, inventive and original ideas for stylish Jewish (and Jew-ish!) couples.
In June 2013 her Jewish wedding blog, Smashing The Glass was born — and has since been featured in The New York Times, The Times, Mail Online, Elle Decor, Brides and live on BBC World News.
What’s more, Smashing The Glass is now proud to be the biggest Jewish Wedding media platform in the world.
Karen shares her knowledge and insights, alongside the best real Jewish weddings, with readers from around the world— and in 2018 also launched a thriving Members Club for brides-to-be to enrich her offering.

Karen is an accomplished speaker, and is often hired to speak to brides and wedding industry folk alike.
