Erin is a member of our Brides Club for Jewish and Jew-ish brides, and we’re so excited for her wedding plans!

Where are you from? New York
What do you do for a living? Corporate Attorney
How did you meet your partner? A mutual friend’s birthday party
Where did you go on your first date? Minetta Tavern
When did you first know you were in love? When I made it six months without being annoyed by him? LOL. And when he spent months helping me move my elderly father across the country to live closer to me. Mensch!
How long had you been dating when you became engaged? 2.5 yrs
What date are you getting married and where?  September 5, 2021 in NYC

ABOUT YOUR WEDDING

Tell us about your wedding plans: We’re having a small ceremony with family on a vintage yacht in New York Harbor followed by a parade and reception on the pier with all our friends!
What’s the most important part of your wedding day? According to my fiancé, the Soul Train Line
Fave Jewish wedding tradition? The chuppah
What does marriage mean to you? It means having a partner who I can rely on to witness and support me through all the changes of life! And knowing that the love and effort I give will be reciprocated.
Best wedding planning tip (so far!):  Good vibes only
Sum up your wedding style in three words! Classic NYC elegance
Any wedding vendors you would recommend? Loving Zola
Dream fantasy wedding guests? We’re inviting Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff!
Fave celeb wedding? John Legend’s wedding in Lake Como. Mostly because Lake Como.
 
 

What do you love most about being a Brides Club member?

Knowing that none of my problems are unique or insurmountable! Everyone is so incredibly helpful and creative.

ABOUT YOUR JEWISH LIFE

Fave meal to eat together on Friday night? The Grandma Pie from Not Ray’s Pizzeria in Brooklyn
Fave Jewish festival? Pesach
Fave Jewish food? His mother’s matzoh ball soup!
Fave Jewish tradition? My darling lays tefillin every morning and I admire him for taking that time for centering and reflection. For me – especially as a lawyer – it’s the tradition of questioning the applicability of Halachic laws to our daily lives.
 

FUN STUFF

Top of your Bucket List: Hot air balloon ride
Perfect weekend is… Sleeping in and having no other plans besides hanging out together. It’s rare!
Happiness is… Rubbing our feet together. It’s the coziest most intimate feeling! And he has really nice feet. 🙂
