An International Interfaith Jewish Wedding Focused on Friends and Family at South Farm, Royston, UK

25/05/2026 by Karen Cinnamon Leave a Comment

Kelsey and Owen, South Farm, Royston, UK

We love it when a couple makes their wedding totally, 100% them – and that’s exactly what Kelsey, hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, and Owen, from Sydney, Australia, did. The pair met at the University of Cambridge in 2019, and ever since they’ve been building a life together in the UK. When it came time to plan their big day, they knew they wanted to showcase their newfound home while reflecting the places they came from – and did they ever do an awesome job, with everything from Australian meat pies for late-night snacks to cranberry cocktails as a nod to the bride’s family home on Cape Cod!

Kelsey and Owen opted to wed at Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor South Farm, a beautiful working farm that showcases the best of the English countryside. In addition to the gorgeous indoor and outdoor spaces (and the fact that the venue grows lots of the produce used in their catering on-site), in Kelsey’s words,

We also immediately found the entire South Farm team to be consistently kind, welcoming, and supportive throughout the planning process. We felt completely looked after from start to finish… Even though South Farm host weddings almost every day of the year, they made us feel like ours was the only wedding they had to pay attention to.

Friends and family also played a huge part in the day: a friend served as the couple’s celebrant, another friend created all the floral arrangements, and various loved ones offered personalized blessings to the couple instead of the traditional Sheva Brachot. We also love that Owen composed the piece of music to which Kelsey walked down the aisle – which was performed by friends! Don’t miss all the love and emotion in the wonderful photos by Lee Allison.

Now over to Kelsey…

How We Met

Kelsey, the bride: We both arrived in Cambridge in 2019 to study at the University of Cambridge. Kelsey came from Boston, Massachusetts to do a PhD researching the role of play in children’s healthcare, and Owen came from Sydney, Australia to do an MMus in Music and sing with the Choir of King’s College. We were both members of Hughes Hall and met on our very first night in Cambridge the college hosted welcome drinks at the bar. We got to talking that evening and quickly became close friends during those first few whirlwind months of settling in.

Then, abruptly, the pandemic. As international students, we both made the difficult decision to stay in Cambridge amidst the uncertainty of those early months of 2020. As some of only a handful of people still in our college, we spent an inordinate amount of time together going for long walks, cooking together, online pub quizzes, meeting each other’s family and friends via video calls – we had basically started dating before we were actually dating. Friends and family, both near and far, were constantly asking us what was going on between us… it took nearly nine months of friendship for us to realize it too!

A Gemy Maalouf Bride for a Classic Winter Jewish Wedding at Banking Hall, London, UK

18/05/2026 by Karen Cinnamon Leave a Comment

Claudia and Aaron, Banking Hall, London, UK

We love a London winter wedding, and Claudia and Aaron’s is really something special! Claudia, a wellness coach and personal trainer, and Aaron, a consultant, had the chicest December Jewish wedding at the iconic Banking Hall. The character-packed venue was the perfect spot for their classic black tie affair – and we’re obsessed with the stunner of a staircase!

Featuring a simple, chic chuppah adorned with white florals and greenery, an absolutely breathtaking Gemy Maalouf gown, and the most wonderful personal touches (Claudia and Aaron wrote personal notes to each of their 175 guests, which they placed on the tables as place cards!), there’s so much to love about this gorgeous day. Don’t miss all the magical details in the photos by Pippa Mackenzie and video by Lewis of Lightbulb Films.

When it came to music, Claudia and Aaron opted for Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor XS Showband, and they couldn’t be any more thrilled with their choice. In Claudia’s words, “They were just unbelievable. Every meeting with Fran and her team was perfect and they also did our production too which made the process feel really seamless. The band absolutely smashed it and our guests still reminisce how amazing they were.” They even brought Claudia’s grandad on stage to sing “New York, New York,” one of the highlights of the whole evening!

Read on for the rest of the story in Claudia’s own words…

How We Met

Claudia, the bride: Aaron and I grew up in the same area, lots of mutual friends, same parties, rival schools but never crossed paths until our early 20s when we were both on JSwipe and matched. The rest is history.

A Galia Lahav Bride for a Soft and Sophisticated Jewish Wedding at The Dorchester, London, UK

11/05/2026 by Karen Cinnamon Leave a Comment

Jessie and Elliot, The Dorchester, London, UK

Dreamy wedding alert! Jessie, a personal shopper and stylist, and Elliot, who’s director of paid digital at Warner Music Group, had an absolutely breathtaking London Jewish wedding, and we’re smitten from start to finish.

The couple turned to Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Uptown Events to help them bring their vision to life at the iconic Dorchester, and Jessie can’t stop raving about how amazing they were every step of the way. In her words, “Uptown proposed amazing ideas to fit our vision and be aesthetically pleasing for our guests! Uptown Events truly were a saving grace, we were able to speak to them constantly throughout the process and their organisation was top notch. We really couldn’t have planned the wedding without them and they genuinely sorted out everything we asked for and made the day run extremely smoothly (which I know is not always possible!).”

Being in the fashion industry herself, choosing a dress was a big decision for Jessie – and unsurprisingly, she picked an absolute stunner, Sun from Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Galia Lahav. Even though Jessie initially thought she wanted something simple, but when she tried Sun on her sales assistant’s recommendation, she instantly changed her mind – and we’re so glad she did; it looks like it was made for her!

There’s so much else to love about this fabulous day – don’t miss it all in the wonderful candid photography by Alex Wysocki, paired with the coolest film shots by Adam Crocker!

An Iconic Venue

Jessie, the bride: The Dorchester – I’ve always wanted to get married there and we had quite a large wedding so it was the perfect space to fit all our guests! We loved the character of the ballroom and the hotel overall. It’s such an iconic landmark within London so it felt extra special to get married there.

An Elysee Bride for a Romantic Valentine’s Hindu-Jewish Wedding at Lucien’s, New Jersey, USA

04/05/2026 by Karen Cinnamon Leave a Comment

Heather and Kinjal, Lucien’s, New Jersey, USA

We love seeing how couples blend two different traditions into one beautiful multicultural wedding – and the HinJew wedding of Heather, who owns a counseling and consultation business, and Kinjal, who works in IT, is the perfect example!

The duo made their celebration a two-day affair, with a chuppah one day and a mandap the next. Heather and Kinjal’s Jewish wedding featured a heartfelt ceremony led by a rabbi, beautifully blending elements from both Jewish and Hindu traditions.

The wedding took place over Valentine’s Day weekend, and the couple leaned into the holiday, opting for a palette featuring featured rich reds (which also hold deep significance in Indian wedding traditions) and vibrant pinks. Don’t miss it all in the wonderful photos from Natali and Kate!

Now over to Heather…

How We Met

Heather, the bride: We met at a local bar, very unexpectedly. Ironically the bar is always the last place people think to meet their life partner yet it was truly meant to be for us. It really was fate, being in the right place at the right time, our paths crossed and we never looked back.

A Kyha Bride for a Night-Out-in-NYC Jewish Wedding at Nine Orchard Hotel, New York, USA

27/04/2026 by Karen Cinnamon

Gabby and Daniyel, Nine Orchard Hotel, New York, USA

Today’s Jewish wedding is just SO quintessentially NYC, and we can’t get enough of it! Gabby and Daniyel wanted their big day to feel like a night out at a jazz club in NYC – with incredible cocktails and food and endless dancing – rather than a traditional wedding.

From their choice of the Lower East Side’s Nine Orchard Hotel – a 1912 building steeped in Jewish history – as a venue, every decision the couple made went toward curating the perfect ambience. Nine Orchard brought the perfect mix of old-world charm and modern chic, and Gabby and Daniyel kept the flow of the evening organic by keeping everything cocktail-style, rather than doing a traditional seated dinner. We’re obsessed with the vibes – catch it all in the wonderful candid photos by Ari of Daystar Visuals and video by TMT Weddings.

We also love that Gabby and Daniyel brought some special Jewish food touches to their wedding menu, namely black and white cookies and latkes served with sour cream, apple sauce, and caviar – especially fitting since the wedding took place just before the first night of Hanukkah!

Read on for the full story in Gabby’s own words…

How We Met

Gabby, the bride: A few years ago, when we were both single, our best friends (who are also dating, and are now married) told us we would be the perfect match. Dani invited me to a party, that he threw on instruction of our friends, so we could meet, and from that moment on we knew this was something special.
