A Lee Petra Grebenau Bride for a Romantic Enchanted Garden Jewish Wedding at Villa Miani, Rome, Italy

20/01/2025 by Karen Cinnamon

Natalie-and-Marc-Villa-MIani-Rome-Italy

Get ready to fall in love with Natalie and Marc’s epic Jewish wedding in Rome. The UK-based couple wanted a spring destination wedding surrounded by blooming flowers, and they found everything they wanted and more at the breathtaking Villa Miani, nestled atop a hill with sprawling gardens and a panoramic view of Rome.

Natalie and Marc knew a destination wedding was a big ask for our guests, so they prioritized making it as seamless as possible – and they turned to the best of the best to help make it happen, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Elegante by Michelle J.

In Natalie’s words,

Elegante by Michelle J exceeded every expectation. Michelle thought of everything—details I didn’t even know existed—and her team coordinated the entire day with such precision and care that everything felt seamless. They turned what could have been a stressful process into a joyful experience, and their expertise allowed us to simply enjoy the day. For anyone seeking a wedding planner, I can’t recommend her enough.

We’re also head over heels for the duo’s exquisite invitations, created by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Big Day Designs. Featuring whimsical illustrations inspired by Villa Miani, they set the tone for the big day so perfectly.

Read on for all the details of this fabulous day – including Natalie and Marc’s touching tribute to the hostages – and don’t miss the wonderful images from photographer  Alex Wysocki and trailer by videographer Waterfall Visuals!

How We Met

Natalie, the bride: Marc first messaged me in 2019 to set up a date, but he ended up cancelling and never rescheduled! Then, a year later in 2020, he reached out again and suggested a socially distanced walking date. I decided to give him another chance—it’s not like I could pretend to be super busy during that time. But he cancelled again!! Claiming he had Covid. At that point, I decided, No way am I giving this guy another chance.

Fast forward to June 2021. Marc’s good friend was having a birthday party, and somehow, both Marc and I got invited—his friend and some of my friends had conspired to make this happen. I went to the party, had a great time, and made a point of ignoring Marc the entire night. I could feel him looking at me, but I avoided eye contact. Eventually, he worked up the nerve to come over and ask me out again. I said no, reminding him he’d already cancelled on me twice.

Marc spent the rest of the night trying to convince me to give him another chance. Finally, I gave in and when we did set a date, we met for drinks at the Ham Yard Hotel (the same place he later proposed) and the rest is history.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Galia Lahav Bride for a Tropical Jewish Wedding at Casali Del Pino, Rome, Italy

19/07/2021 by Karen Cinnamon

Hannah-and-Oscar-Casali-del-Pino-Rome

The fabulous Italian Jewish wedding of Hannah and Oscar, who both work in the clothing business and are launching their own jewellery line, combined two of our very favorite styles: Roman luxe and tropical boho.

While the couple’s gorgeous venue, Casali Del Pino, is pure classic Roman splendor, with all the elegance, muted tones, and gently verdant outdoor spaces that entails, their décor was all exotic flowers and enormous topical leaves. Don’t miss the couple’s chuppah in the photos by Roberta Perrone – Hannah and Oscar wanted it to make them feel as if they were standing in the midst of a tropical jungle, and we think they hit the mark exactly right!

We’re also obsessed with Hannah’s stunner of a gown from Galia Lahav, the Georgia dress. As you’d expect from the beloved Israeli designer, it’s uber-glam, and we can’t get enough of the floral detailing, not to mention ALL the sparkles.

We’ll let Hannah fill you in on the rest…

An Antonio Grimaldi Bride for a Magnificent Countryside Jewish Wedding at Antonello Colonna, Rome, Italy

05/07/2021 by Karen Cinnamon

Daniel and Daria, Antonello Colonna Resort, Rome, Italy

Get ready to be blown away by the positively swoonworthy Italian Jewish wedding of Roman couple Daria, a physiotherapist, and Daniel, a real estate developer – and get ready to be even more blown away when you find out they pulled it together in just 40 days between lockdowns.

These two had their glorious countryside luxe wedding at the most incredible venue just outside Rome all planned and ready to go when COVID hit. Like so many other 2020 couples, they had to postpone. Then, in the summer, when things were opening back up during a lull in the pandemic, Daria and Daniel saw their chance and they went for it – pulling everything together for their new date in just a little over a month!

That’s an impressive timeline for any wedding, let alone one as opulent as Daria and Daniel’s! How did they do it? With the help of an incredible wedding planner, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Deborah di Castro, who made sure everything – from the big-picture stuff to the tiniest details, like personalizing everything from masks and bottles of hand sanitizer to flip flops with the couple’s logo – was taken care of.

And were there ever some impressive details! For starters, feast your eyes on Antonio Carneroli’s dreamy images of the couple’s glorious chuppah, their exquisite table scapes, and, above all, the epic love and joy shining through in each and every shot – and don’t miss the trailer from Sesame Films, which makes us feel as if we’d been right there with Daria and Daniel on their day.

Now over to the bride…

An Acquachiara Bride for a Magical Pandemic Jewish Wedding at Villa Miani, Rome, Italy

09/04/2021 by Karen Cinnamon

Diletta and Stefano, Villa Miani, Rome, Italy

How gorgeous is this incredible chuppah?! We’re totally and completely obsessed with the all-white floral masterpiece Diletta, an architect, and Stefano, a consultant, dreamed up for their big day. Everything looks SO perfect, you’d never guess they had to drastically change their plans midstream due to COVID – including a change of venue to better accommodate their reduced guest list.

Luckily, the pair ended up at beautiful Villa Miani, one of our very favorite Roman venues, and with some help from their wedding planner, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Deborah di Castro, and their vendor team, everything came together perfectly – despite the uncertainty that came with planning amidst fears of a new lockdown. (As it happened, Diletta and Stefano’s wedding date fell at a time when cases were low in Italy – but one month later, Rome was back in lockdown.)

Diletta had a strong vision for her wedding from the get-go: a sophisticated all-white look, carried out in her florals, that fabulous chuppah, and of course her Acquachiara gown, adorned with hundreds of white fabric “petals.” Don’t miss all the exquisite details in Azeta‘s photos and Sesame Films’ trailer.
