A Galia Lahav Bride for Classic Winter Jewish Wedding at The Kimpton Clocktower, Manchester, UK

02/05/2024 by Karen Cinnamon

Talia and Solly, Kimpton Clocktower, Manchester, UK

We love a good Manchester wedding – and this is one for the books! Smashing The Glass Brides Club member Tal, a biology teacher, and Solly, a strategy consultant, live in London, but when it came time to plan their wedding Tal was eager to share her hometown up north with all her family and friends. The couple found the perfect spot for their classic winter wedding in Manchester’s Kimpton Clocktower, and we’re so proud that Brides Club helped then source their dream venue!

Part of what Tal and Solly loved about The Kimpton Clocktower was its spacious ballroom, which let them have the big dance floor of their dreams – just check out the exquisite photos by Rob Clayton and trailer by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Denee Motion for proof that it was put to excellent use!

We also love that Tal opted to wear Israeli designer Galia Lahav for her big day – and she could not have looked more chic! Read on for the rest of the story in her words…

A Mira Zwillinger Bride for a Romantic Jewish Wedding Weekend at the Fairmont Hotel, Windsor, UK

20/02/2023 by Karen Cinnamon

Ellie-Nick-Fairmont-Windsor-UK

If you love a good floral chuppah, have we got a treat for you! Today’s couple, Ellie, a fashion stylist and interior designer, and Nick, a property investor, knew they wanted their chuppah to make a statement – and does it ever! Covered in the bride’s favorite flower, gypsophila, it’s serious #chuppahgoals.

Given Ellie’s design background, it’s no surprise she had a strong vision for not only the chuppah, but the whole aesthetic of the day: a white and neutral color scheme, with lots of candles and white flowers to create a mystical and romantic fairytale theme. And it goes without saying that the bride opted for a super-stylish gown, from Israeli designer Mira Zwillinger.

But there was so much more than looks to this wonderful Jewish wedding – it was also an epic party, thanks to Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Sensation Band who got everyone dancing with the perfect mix of current music and wedding classics.

Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Denee Motion filmed the day beautifully, capturing every moment and editing the highlight reel to perfection – and James Mason is behind Ellie and Nick’s most wonderful photos.

And we love that the duo opted to set up their Jewish wedding gift list with Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor The Wedding Shop – nor are we in the least surprised to hear that Ellie and Nick were thrilled with their experience!

There’s so much more to say about this fabulous wedding – read on for all the details in the bride’s own words!

Ellie, the bride: We met at a Jewish charity event in 2016 and have never really spent a day apart since! A Monique Lhuillier Bride for a Country House Jewish Wedding at Braxted Park, Essex, UK

16/01/2023 by Karen Cinnamon

Talia-Isaac-Braxted-Park-Essex-UK

This UK Jewish wedding’s got it all: stunning countryside setting, gorgeous gown, delectable food, exquisite stationery, and, of course, an epic floral chuppah.

Talia and Isaac found the perfect canvas for their wedding dreams in Essex’s Braxted Park, a country house venue nestled among magical gardens and picture-perfect pavilions. Given the verdant surroundings, the pair opted for a simple green and white theme, complementing the natural beauty – captured so perfectly in Beccy Goddard’s photography.

Talia and Isaac’s lovely stationery, designed by Talia’s sister-in-law Alissia from Studio Alissia, kept with the theme – and Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Big Day Designs printed the invitations and on-the-day stationery to perfection.

Of course no Jewish wedding is complete without delicious food, and Talia and Isaac got the best of the best with Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Dvash. In Talia’s words, “Everything was perfect. From the drinks table when guests arrived, to the canapes and stations at the drinks reception to the main meal and after party food! The feedback from our guests was incredible – everything was so beyond delicious, and Dvash’s staff provided an excellent service.”

There’s so much more to say about this very special wedding –for instance,  we were so thrilled to hear that Talia and Isaac opted to use Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Prezola for their wedding gift list – but we’ll turn you over to Talia for the rest…

A Reem Acra Bride for an Ultra-Personal Jewish Wedding at St John’s Wood Synagogue and the Grand Connaught Rooms, London, UK

21/08/2020 by Karen Cinnamon

Sophie-and-Andrew-Grand-Connaught-Rooms

There’s something about seeing a couple’s faces as they stand under the chuppah – and when they walk up the aisle after smashing that glass! No matter how many Jewish weddings we see, it never, ever gets old.

And today’s couple, Sophie, a solicitor, and Andrew, a company director, are no exception: the love exuding from each and every single shot by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor MIKI Studios – not to mention their ultra-moving trailer – makes us feel like our hearts are positively glowing (and we’re totally not surprised to hear the bride’s report that Mick and Ash of MIKI Studios were a dream to work with!).

Indeed, creating a celebration all about love and emotion was at the heart of Sophie and Andrew’s plans for the big day. The emphasis the pair put on their chuppah – from prioritizing fabulous music by a mega-talented Hebrew singer to the beautiful off-white floral and green foliage embellishment they chose for their exquisitely elegant chuppah structure itself – is truly beautiful, and we also love that they opted to hold their ceremony at St John’s Wood Synagogue, where Andrew has attended his whole life – such a wonderful personal touch!

And HOW stunning is Sophie’s Reem Acra gown? Truly the stuff wedding dress dreams are made of.

Now over to you, Sophie!

A Synagogue Wedding

Sophie, the bride: We had our ceremony at St John’s Wood Synagogue followed by dinner and dancing at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London.  Andrew has always been a member of St John’s Wood Synagogue and it meant a lot to him to get married there.

A Galia Lahav Bride for a Jewish Wedding at Villa di Maiano, Florence, Tuscany, Italy

04/11/2019 by Karen Cinnamon

Jewish wedding at Villa di Maiano, Florence, Tuscany, Italy_0029

There’s nothing like a Tuscan Jewish wedding. And we’re totally obsessed with the incredible nuptials of London-based couple Chloe, who works in PR, and Danny, who’s in property.

The couple’s incredible planner, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Elegante by Michelle J, helped them bring the day of their dreams to life – not the easiest feat when planning from abroad! Michelle set them up with many of their fantastic vendors – like photographer David Bastianoni and videographer Waterfall Visuals– and suggested their picturesque venue, Villa di Maiano.

With grounds straight out of a Renaissance painting and epic views of Florence, this is a venue that doesn’t need much help to shine. But even so, Michelle knocked it out of the ballpark with her incredible chuppah setup – and the table décor’s pretty fantastic too.

There’s so much more to say about this gorgeous wedding, but we’ll leave the rest to the bride – who could not have looked more elegant in her Galia Lahav gown, which she worked with beloved Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Browns Bride to customize…
