An Elegant Jewish Wedding Full of Fun Touches at Institute Park, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA

04/09/2023 by Karen Cinnamon

Angela-Jesse-Institute-Park-Worcester-Massachusetts-USA

Today’s couple, Angela and Jesse, are busy people. They’re both registered nurses, each working in different critical care specialties – and on top of that, they also run their own farm!

So when it came time to plan their Massachusetts Jewish wedding, they wanted a day of nonstop fun – and that’s exactly what they got! From a wedding trolley party bus to transport the wedding party, to a black tie dress code as a counterpoint to Angela and Jesse’s usual scrubs and farm clothes, to DIY artificial flowers by the bride herself, this day was chock full of wonderful touches – don’t miss them all in the beautiful photos and trailer by Zach and Ava from Woodside Productions!

One of our very favorite special touches is the couple’s ketubah, designed by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Nava Shoham. Angela and Jesse adored Nava’s River of Dreams ketubah from the moment they set eyes on it, and they can’t stop raving about the process of working with Nava.

Now over to Angela…

How We Met

Although they are both are in the medical field, they did not meet on the job. They met through a shared love for farming and farm animals and mutual friends within the farming community. The friendship effortlessly blossomed while they both served on the Agricultural Commission in the town they lived in previously. Jesse served as Vice Chair and Angela served as the secretary.

Angela had always dreamed of raising alpaca and Jesse was able to make her dreams come true when he found her a seller that needed to rehome five lovely alpaca. The alpaca became her first farm animals! Soon there were goats and chickens and ducks and more! Today, they play out their farm dreams together!

They currently own and solely operate Moonlight Run Farm, LLC in Barre, Massachusetts and have expanded to raising many types of animals such as llamas, Nigerian Dwarf goats, and Scottish Highland Cattle (just to name a few). They also provide an array of farm services and educational workshops for community.

A Pnina Tornai Bride for an Elegant Jewish Wedding Full of Personal Touches at OceanCliff, Newport, Rhode Island, USA

01/09/2023 by Karen Cinnamon

Sarah-Gal-OceanCliff-Newport-Rhode-Island-USA

There’s not much we love more than blogging the Jewish wedding of one of our beloved Brides Club members, so naturally we’re thrilled to be featuring the fabulous Newport, Rhode Island nuptials of Brides Club grad Sarah, an advisor at a research and advisory firm, and Gal, a software engineer.

Sarah always dreamed of getting married on the beautiful Rhode Island coast, where she grew up spending summers, and the couple took their cues from their elegant New England surroundings, choosing a soft color scheme of ivory, blush, and lavender.

They also had a watercolor wedding crest designed, featuring their venue, dogs, and favorite flowers – and we love the way the crest became a focal point tying together all of the many wedding details! Sarah and Gal even had custom cookies decorated with their crest on the tables for their guests – check them out in the gorgeous photos by Adeline and Grace!

Animals are a big part of Sarah and Gal’s life, and they had a gorgeous custom cocktail sign painted in watercolor featuring their dog Teddy and horse Jasper – and Teddy even came to the venue for some special pre-chuppah pics with his humans!

There’s so much more to say about this exquisite wedding – like, how cool is it that Sarah and Gal had a live wedding painter on hand to capture their first dance? – but we’ll let the bride take it from here…

How We Met

Sarah, the bride: Gal and I met in 2012 in Tel Aviv at a popular bar called Drink Point on Dizengoff Street. I was in Israel doing a Masa Internship Program and Gal had just finished with the army and was working at Live Person. I had been on Birthright the year before and became friends with an Israeli soldier in our group. When I decided to do an internship program in Israel the following year my friend had wanted to introduce me to all of his friends.

Gal is one of his best friends. In 2013, I made Aliyah and we lived in Tel Aviv. In 2016, we decided to move to the United States with our dog Lilush. Gal was an exchange student at Carnegie Mellon University and I was working on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Presidential Campaign in Pittsburgh. In 2017, we moved to Washington, DC where we have been living ever since with our Golden Retriever Teddy. Gal proposed in the Icelandic countryside on horseback in 2018.

A Demetrios Bride for a Roaring ‘20s Jewish Wedding Inspired by The Great Gatsby at The Banks Waterfront, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, USA

28/08/2023 by Karen Cinnamon

Amy & Brad, The Banks Waterfront, Pennsylvania, USA

Amy, a travel agent, and Brad, a mortgage analyst, got engaged in July 2020, during the height of the pandemic. When lockdown finally came to an end, they were ready to party – roaring  ‘20s style. Hence the timely theme they chose for their Pennsylvania Jewish wedding: The Great Gatsby!

Their big day was full of fun touches nodding to an era of frivolity and decadence – like the bride’s fabulous Demetrios gown, and tons of feathers mixed in with the florals! We’re also obsessed with the couple’s wonderful Tree of Life Ketubah designed by the amazing Nava Shoham, founder of Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor 1-800-ketubah. Amy and Brad loved working with Nava – in their words, she was “so amazing and friendly and flexible” – and obviously they were thrilled with the finished results! Don’t miss it in the wonderful photos by Brittany Boote.

There’s so much more to say about this delightful wedding – like the touching ways the bride chose to honor her late parents – but we’ll leave it to Amy to fill you in on the rest…

How We Met

Amy, the bride: The first time we met was a very brief interaction at an event in April of 2014. Amy was riding on a jazzy after recent knee surgery and “bumped” into Brad, but life happens, and it was meant to just be a hi / bye interaction. Fast forward 3 years and we reconnected by modern day daters’ way of doing it… online.

After some witty conversation and Brad promising to do the “Bend and Snap”, we went to Full Pint Brewery for a good IPA to start off our first date on September 15, 2017. A 7 hour date and some Nicky Thai’s Kitchen for some sustenance along the way and we both knew a second date would follow not too long after. The night of our second date, 5 years prior, is now our wedding anniversary

A Nathalie Ethedgui Bride for a Magical Jewish Wedding at Villa Maiano Full of Tuscan Charm, Florence, Italy

25/08/2023 by Karen Cinnamon

Jonathan-Salome-Villa-di-Maiano-Italy

Ah, Tuscany – there’s really no place like it. The rolling hills, the sunlight, the food – it’s no wonder Salome, a stylist, and Jonathan, who has his own digital marketing business, chose Florence’s Villa di Maiano for their Jewish wedding.

The whole day positively exudes Tuscan charm from start to finish and we’re obsessed with all the gorgeous details, from the outdoor chuppah to the fabulous florals (don’t miss the epic floral chuppah!) and tablescapes.

The whole day was captured so perfectly by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Colle Photo. Every shot looks like it could’ve come straight out of a glossy magazine, and needless to say Salome and Jonathan are thrilled with the results.

Now over to the bride, who looked so elegant in her made to measure dress by Parisian designer Nathalie Ethedgui…

A Pnina Tornai Bride for the Coziest Winter Wonderland Jewish Wedding with Magic Cabin Vibes at Foxfire Mountain House, The Catskills, New York, US

21/08/2023 by Karen Cinnamon

Jenna-Joe-Foxfire-Mountain-House-Catskills-New-York-USA

We knew we were in for something special from the moment we read that today’s couple, Jenna, an event manager, and Joe, director of referee operations for the NBA, dreamed of a winter Jewish wedding with magical cabin vibes. And their big day did not disappoint!

The New York couple opted for an intimate wedding in the Catskills at FoxFire Mountain House, where 30 of their closest family and friends gathered for a cozy weekend retreat, where they went all in on the wintry mountain vibes. Scroll through the dreamy images by Brian David Photography and we’re pretty sure you’ll fall in love too!

Their ceremony took place indoors in front of a roaring fire – and to keep with the intimate, low-key vibes Jenna and Joe had loved ones hold a tallis above their heads rather than opting for a freestanding chuppah. And even their beautiful ketubah, designed by mega-talented Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor The Delicate Brush, features a forest-scape to match the theme!

Now over to the bride, who looked like the dreamiest snow princess in her Pnina Tornai gown…
