A Martin Thornburg Bride for a Tree of Life-Themed Jewish Wedding at the Grand Hyatt, Buckhead, Georgia, USA

08/04/2024 by Karen Cinnamon

David-and-Taylor-Grand-Hyatt-Buckhead-Georgia-USA

We just love today’s couple’s Jewish wedding theme: tree of life! Taylor, a nurse practitioner, and David, an orthopedic surgery resident, love the outdoors, and they settled on this theme as the perfect way to combine their enthusiasm for nature with their deep connection to Jewish tradition.

They found the perfect spot for their big day in the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead, Georgia, featuring gorgeous Japanese Zen Gardens where the duo held their chuppah (birch, and embellished with greenery, florals, and foliage – so on theme!). Don’t miss it in the wonderful photos by Hellen Oliveira Photography.

A tree of life ketubah was a must for Taylor and David, and they found the perfect design on Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor ketubah.com, from Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Nava Shoham.

There’s so much more to say, but we’ll let the bride take it from here…

A Berta Bride for a Jewish Wedding at Borgo Stomennano, Tuscany, Italy

05/04/2024 by Karen Cinnamon

Yael-and-Joel-Borgo-Stomennano-Tuscany-Italy

There’s no question that Tuscany is one of the world’s most gorgeous destinations for a Jewish wedding – and Yael and Joel’s special day is just beyond!

After recovering from a serious car accident, the couple knew their top priority was spending quality time together with their loved ones – and so they decided to make a full wedding weekend of it at beautiful Borgo Stomennano, a picturesque historic estate nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany.

The couple’s photographer, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Ronen Boidek, captured the day in all its glory. Yael says that Ronen “has so much talent and has this special capability to catch the essence of people’s personalities in his pictures,” and we couldn’t agree more!

Yael also looked absolutely radiant in her stunner of a gown by beloved Israeli bridal designer Berta – read on for the full story in her words…

How We Met

Yael, the bride: We met at the wedding of our good friends Jenija and Steph in Tel Aviv, in 2017. Jenija and Yael went to kindergarten together and Joel and Steph met playing tennis together as kids while on holiday in Israel, a few decades ago.

Bride and groom thought we’d be a great match and had planned to seat us next to each other on their wedding at the singles table, but we already ‘found’ each other a few days before at their pre-party at the bar and have been inseparable ever since.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Sassi Holford Bride for a Bright and Colorful Jewish Wedding at The Queen’s Hotel, Leeds, UK

01/04/2024 by Karen Cinnamon

Millie and Josh, Queen's Hotel, Leeds, UK

Some weddings just exude Jewish joy – and that’s absolutely the case for Millie and Josh’s colorful celebration in Leeds!

The couple’s vision for the their big day was bright and fun, with a relaxed and upbeat feel, and between their bright floral chuppah, hot pink bridesmaid dresses, and flower clouds floating over the dance floor they absolutely nailed it! Don’t miss all the joyful details in the pics by David Stubbs Photography.

An epic party vibe was key for Millie and Josh, and to make sure they got it right they opted to work with Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Sensation Band. In Millie’s words,

The atmosphere was unmatched! The dancefloor was never empty! They did amazing sets throughout the meal, and had all our guests on their chairs for the main course! Guy Barzily took everyone’s breath away throughout our chuppah, and it was such an emotional special moment.

Read on for all the fabulous details in the bride’s own words!

Millie, the bride: Josh and I have a bit of a history, dating when we were 16 and 17 for a year. Then having nearly 7 years apart and other relationships getting back together once we both graduated uni. We had zero contact in those years. I was travelling with friends in 2018, and one of them drunkly forced me to add him on snapchat! The rest was history. Nearly 4 years on we got engaged and 5 years on married. We now live in Manchester, I work in marketing for a financial services company and Josh is a Chartered Surveyor.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Marcella NYC Bride for a Dreamy Jewish Wedding at Villa Corsini, Florence, Italy

29/03/2024 by Karen Cinnamon

AS-Villa-Corsini-Florence-Italy

There’s something about a Tuscan wedding – and we’re head over heels for the beautiful Jewish destination wedding of American couple A and S.

Both professional musicians with busy schedules, these two knew they could use some help making the wedding of their dreams a reality, and they turned to Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Primavera Dreams. In the couple’s words,  founder Luba

was instrumental in implementing our wedding vibe/atmosphere. We wanted it to feel luxurious but not too stuffy, casual and comfortable but also elegant, colorful but also classic. Luba and Yael helped execute amazing events leading up to the wedding for our guests that allowed them to get to know each other and bond.

We also love that bride A opted for an off-the-rack dress from Marcella NYC rather than a traditional wedding gown – a great reminder that there are lots of fabulous out-of-the-box (and budget-friendly) options when it comes to bridal fashion.

We’re obsessed with the exquisite photos by Michael Zennaro – scroll on to take in ALL the gorgeousness for yourself!

A Romona Keveza Bride for a Wedding Planner’s Own Jewish Wedding at Carnegie Hall, NYC, New York, USA

25/03/2024 by Karen Cinnamon

Andrea-and-Adam-Carnegie-Hall-New-York-USA

We love seeing the choices top wedding pros make when it comes to their own big days – so naturally we were thrilled to see the fabulous NYC Jewish wedding of Andrea, founder of Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor NYLUX Events, and Adam, who works in finance.

Thanks to her work in the industry, Andrea knows all of the city’s under-the-radar venues, and she and Adam chose to wed at one of the very best: Carnegie Hall. Although it’s one of New York’s most iconic music venues, it’s a hidden gem of an events space, with outdoor space, epic views, and a prime location near Central Park – and Andrea and Adam loved sharing it with their friends and family.

The couple wanted to keep their wedding elegant, classic, intimate, and fun – like a big dinner party – and with special details like a cocktail hour to open the wedding, personalized notes for all the guests, embroidered napkins with bespoke logos, and a last hour “after party” featuring bar carts and pizza on the dance floor, they achieved their goal and then some! Photographers Todd France and Phillip Van Nostrand are behind the exquisite photojournalistic imagery, and videographers Davitte Taveras from Dartiztudio and Karlie Rogers from Karlie Louise Photography captured the day in action.

When Andrea counsels brides shopping for their wedding gowns, she advises them to pick something that will withstand the test of time – and she certainly followed her own advice with her sleek, minimalist dress by Romona Keveza Collection – with a striking asymmetrical top, it’s elegant with just a little bit of edge and we couldn’t love it any more!

Read on for all the rest of the details of this very special day…

How We Met

Andrea, the bride: We met online and in our initial conversation, realized we had raised our children just a few blocks away from each other in suburbia. We had our first date a few days later on Monday, second date on Tuesday, third date on Wednesday and we have been together ever since. It was easy right from the beginning.Continue ReadingContinue Reading
