A Neta Dover Bride for a Jewish Wedding All About the Party at the Ritz Carlton, St. Louis, Missouri, USA

04/03/2024 by Karen Cinnamon

Tori-and-Jared-The-Ritz-Carlton-St.Louis-USA

When St. Louis couple Tori and Jared started planning their Jewish wedding, their top priority was to make it a party. And that’s exactly what they did, from their post-Friday night dinner dance party, to the surprise New Orleans horn line parading through the aisle after the groom smashed the glass, to the all-night dancing that went until 2 AM!

In the bride’s words, “I just wanted our closest friends and family to have the best night ever” – and judging by the joyous photos from  Verneda Lemons, we can safely say they did!

We’re obsessed with Tori and Jared’s custom ketubah by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor NitiArtsKetubah, crafted to include important elements of the couple’s lives from their dog, Sadie, to the NY Mets, St. Louis Blues, the fountain where they got engaged, palm trees for their love of travel, and more.

There’s so much to say about this wonderful wedding – but we’ll leave it to Tori, who looked simply smashing in her gown by Israeli designer Neta Dover, to take it from here!

How We Met

Tori, the bride: We met in New York City on St. Patrick’s Day at a club. Probably my first and last time at a club! After that, we dated a few years in the city and then I dragged him to my hometown of St. Louis, MO, where we now have our dog, Sadie. I knew he was a keeper when he said he would leave bagels and sushi and move to St.Louis, MO.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

An Aleena Lena Bride for a Rustic Chic Jewish Wedding at The Art Factory, Paterson, New Jersey, USA

01/03/2024 by Karen Cinnamon

Victoria-and-Judah-The-Art-Factory-New-York-USA

This is one cool wedding! Victoria, an investment banker, and Judah, a medical student, are a super stylish couple, and they planned one of the chicest urban-rustic Jewish weddings EVER at The Art Factory in Paterson, New Jersey.

We love how they leaned into the unique industrial-rustic vibes of their venue, picking green as their wedding color and using tons of greenery in their décor. The couple’s photographer, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Alex Knight, captured it all so perfectly – in Victoria’s words,

Alex and his team are some of the best people we’ve gotten to work with – they are kind, funny and an all around good time. They were great at making us feel comfortable, hyping us up and capturing all of the little moments that we may have overlooked. They’re truly the best!

There’s so much more to say about this fabulous wedding – how fun is it that Victoria and Judah incorporated dancing under the chuppah between each of their sheva brachot?! – but we’ll let the bride take it from here…

How We Met

Victoria, the bride and Judah, the groom: We met on Victoria’s first day of undergrad. We were both students in the joint program between JTS and Columbia University, Victoria a freshman and Judah a junior. Victoria came to school with her best friend, Sarah, who she made a pact with that they wouldn’t date in college – they were there to get their degrees! On their first day there, however, Sarah saw Judah and noted to Victoria that he looked like her type (he was wearing a kippah). We started talking, and the rest was history!Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Berta Bride for a Romantic and Modern Jewish Wedding in White at the St. Regis Bal Harbour, Florida, USA

26/02/2024 by Karen Cinnamon

Adiel-and-Murray-The-St.-Regis-Bal-Harbor-Miami-Florida-USA

There’s just something about an all-white color scheme – and we are absolutely loving Adiel and Murray’s monochromatic masterpiece of a Jewish wedding at Florida’s St. Regis Bal Harbour!

The couple’s floral chuppah is just beyond, and we can’t get enough of the gorgeous centerpieces either – don’t miss them in the wonderful photos by Andrew of Luvrox Photography and trailer by Ray Roman!

Another touch we adore? Adiel and Murray chose a gorgeous ketubah featuring roosters from Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor ketubah.com, in honor of the groom’s late grandparents who had rooster figurines throughout their home in keeping with Syrian tradition that roosters are good luck.

We also love that Adiel was committed to wearing a gown by an Israeli designer, and she could not have looked more stunning in her sparkly Berta gown! We’ll turn you over to her now for the rest…

A Galia Lahav Bride for a Relaxed Jewish Wedding All About the Party at Riverpark, New York, USA

19/02/2024 by Karen Cinnamon

When they set out to plan their Jewish wedding, New Yorkers Samantha, a software engineer, and Alex, an endocrinologist, knew they wanted their big day to be all about dancing and celebrating.

They turned to their phenomenal planner, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Andrea Adelstein of NYLUX Events, and she went above and beyond in making the day of their dreams a reality. She helped them find the perfect NYC venue, Riverpark restaurant, and craft the perfect relaxed evening full of dancing and fun.

A few special touches we can’t get enough of: the gorgeous birch chuppah, the 11 PM espresso martinis and fries, and the fact that Samantha and Alex each smashed a glass at the end of the ceremony! Oh, and we can’t forget Samantha’s stunner of a gown from beloved Israeli designer Galia Lahav!

Take one look at Karlie Louise’s wonderful photos and you can tell what a blast the duo – and everyone around them – was having! Read on for the rest of the story.

How We Met

Alex and Samantha met at a math competition in high school, where they were both competing. Samantha offered to put her number in Alex’s calculator and the rest is history. 14 years later, they are newlyweds. Continue ReadingContinue Reading

An Elie Saab Bride For a Tuscan Jewish Wedding Full of Love, Lemons, and Local Charm at the Great Synagogue of Florence and Villa Maiano, Tuscany, Italy

12/02/2024 by Karen Cinnamon

Aviva and Alan, Villa di Maiano, Fiesole, Italy

There’s nothing like a Tuscan wedding – and Aviva and Alan’s is one for the books! These two went all out in embracing the local color and charm of their oh-so-scenic environs, from the majestic Grand Synagogue of Florence where the chuppah took place to the dreamy reception at Villa di Maiano, nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany.

Planning a destination wedding abroad is no easy feat, and Aviva and Alan wisely chose to work with planner extraordinaire Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Elegante by Michelle J to make their dream Jewish wedding weekend a reality.

Michelle brought in a team of nine coordinators who all worked to ensure that the couple and their guests were incredibly well looked after, not only on the wedding day but throughout the wonderful pre- and post-wedding events Aviva and Alan hosted for everyone.

Michelle also worked with the couple’s florist, Il Giardino delle Fate Flower Design, to style every space in a unique and beautiful way – don’t miss it all in the wonderful images by David Bastianoni!

Now over to the bride…

Venue

Aviva, the bride: We married at the beautiful Florence Synagogue where we hosted a pre-ceremony reception in the gardens, tisch in the synagogue entrance hall and a stunning ceremony with a small orchestra in the synagogue itself.

Following the ceremony, our planner had arranged transportation to drive all of our guests to Villa di Maiano, which is in a small town called Fiesole, about 15 minutes’ drive away and in the hills just above Florence. The venue is in a beautiful setting with spectacular views of the city and the surrounding countryside.Continue ReadingContinue Reading
