How We Met
Tamar, the bride: We met at the age of 18 through a dear mutual friend who introduced us, and over the course of 14 wonderful years together, filled with shared experiences, growth, and countless cherished moments, we made the joyful decision to formalize our commitment and get married.
A Wedding in Cyprus
We chose to have our wedding in Cyprus for its nearby charm and peaceful atmosphere. The Atlantis Gardens Hotel, tucked away in a quiet spot with a private beach, was exactly the intimate setting we wanted.
Bohemian Vibes
The design theme we selected was bohemian, characterized by natural elements and glamorous accents. We incorporated earthy textures like wood and woven materials, complemented by soft, flowing fabrics and subtle metallic finishes. This combination created a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere, perfectly suited to our vision for the occasion. Noam from Kai Wedding Planners was our dedicated wedding planner, and we collaborated closely for over 6 months to bring our dream wedding to life.
Alongside his exceptional team, they ensured that every step of the planning process was smooth and stress-free for us. From the initial ideas to the smallest details, they exceeded our expectations, making our special day truly unforgettable. Their expertise and commitment made all the difference in creating the perfect atmosphere and experience we had envisioned.
Three Shir Gindi Dresses
Wow, I had the pleasure of wearing three stunning dresses, each uniquely designed by Shir Gindi, a designer known for her exquisite craftsmanship. Each dress reflected a different style and vibe: The first dress exuded elegance and simplicity, with a regal touch that made me feel like royalty on my special day. The second dress was a beautiful bohemian creation, entirely handmade with intricate details that showcased the artisanal craftsmanship and added a whimsical charm to my bridal look.
For the third dress, Shir Gindi captured a playful and spirited essence, bringing out a lively and fun side that perfectly complemented the joyous atmosphere of our celebration. Having these three distinct dresses allowed me to express different facets of my personality throughout the wedding day, making it an unforgettable experience filled with style and flair.
Ceremony & Chuppah
The ceremony was held by the sea, against the backdrop of a stunning sunset. What made it even more special was that we had both a beachfront chuppah and a city wedding celebration.
Photographer
The photographers, Alena Belan Photography, were a delightful couple who made us feel relaxed and brought out our joyous moments. They poured their hearts into capturing unforgettable pictures for us. The photos they took at the hotel were absolutely stunning.
Advice to couples currently planning their wedding
Our top advice for a destination wedding is not to stress about inconveniencing guests, but to recognize that it’s an amazing experience for everyone involved. The most special moment is walking to the chuppah, witnessing everyone gather for us, and feeling the love from everyone.
Another tip is to plan activities or outings for guests to enjoy the destination’s unique offerings, turning the wedding into a memorable vacation for everyone. For our celebration, we opted for a taverna party with a local band, where we embraced the tradition of breaking plates during the party.
