My obsession with Monica Vinader

My poor husband. Back in October 2011, just four weeks  after our blind date,  my 36th birthday popped up  and my new man  was tasked with  buying me a birthday present. Would he  get it right after just a few weeks of dating? I’m not one for acts of gushing  over-eagerness, yet because I was really  into him I’ll admit  I would have been upset if he’d chosen  something  that he might have bought  for any old mate.

As it happens  my handsome new boyfriend got it just right.  He bought me  the  Monica Vinader  Fiji Chain Braceletwhich I adored, and still very much treasure  to this day.

My obsession with  Monica Vinader  jewellery was born and the  soon-to-be Mr. STG  subsequently bought me  the most beautiful engraved  Ava Button Necklace  for Valentine’s Day 2012 and so it goes on…

I’ve yet to mention Monica Vinader  on the blog, but with the gift-giving (and receiving!) holiday season in full swing, it’s time to inspire you with my current hot picks. And it’s not just my husband and I with fabulous taste (I jest),  The Duchess of Cambridge, Emma Watson, Cheryl Fernandez Versini and Cara Delevingne  are all super fans of Monica’s too.

So I’m exceptionally excited to be letting the cat out of the bag to bring  you news of an exclusive VIP open day  that RSA House are holding on Saturday 22nd November 2014, from  11.00am to  3.00pm

You’ll be able to see the venue  at it’s most breathtaking  and see it  dressed up exquisitely for  a wedding  as  Elise, the venue’s wonderful wedding co-ordinator, shows you round the magnificent  spaces.

You’ll also have plenty of  personal attention and opportunities  to discuss your individual  requirements, to  really get  a feel for what your wedding day will  be like, whilst feasting on  delicious canapà©s, chilled Prosecco and other tasty  delicacies from award-winning  caterers Harbour & Jones.

For those of you not familiar with RSA House, it has a capacity of up to 140 seated and 220 standing, and is located close to Trafalgar Square, just  behind The Strand. It’s a beautiful example of a John Adam designed Georgian mansion, and it’s soaked in history, being  the intellectual and social home of some of the greatest thinkers and social activists of the past 250 years, including Prince Albert, Alexander Graham Bell, Karl Marx, and many more.

Win a romantic overnight stay at the capital’s hippest new luxury hotel, Rosewood London

I’m the first person to suggest  that you  try and think outside the (fancy hotel) box when it comes to choosing your  wedding venue, but on visiting the sumptuous new  Rosewood London, I had a change of heart —  I was most definitely  wowed.

On entering  the Edwardian  cobblestoned courtyard (formerly used for horse-drawn carriages) the tone was set, and the more I explored it the more  I loved it… British  heritage combined  with  contemporary twists, a hip  aesthetic and lots of  thoughtful  touches. Rosewood London stands out from other luxury hotels in that there isn’t an air of stuffiness or passà© about it — it oozes  a breezy, sophisticated  vibe and their playful and  idiosyncratic details really  appealed to my  creative side.

The hotel opened nine  months ago following  an £85million makeover and is already set to be  central London’s  most in-demand wedding venue for  fashionable nuptials, indeed one of their beautiful Jewish weddings has already been  featured    on the pages of Smashing The Glass!
