A Classic Springtime Jewish Wedding at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina, USA

13/05/2022 by Karen Cinnamon

Erin & Jared, Turnip Rose promenade and gardens, USA

We are so thrilled to be sharing the gorgeous Jewish wedding of our Brides Club member Emily today! Emily made it official with now-husband Harrison in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina, at The Omni Grove Park Inn, and we’re so in love with this special day – all the more so after following the leadup as Emily shared her planning journey in Brides Club!

We adored having Emily in the group, and we’re so touched by her kind words: “The Brides Club allowed me to meet new people and posit questions I would not have known by myself. Brides Club was an amazing way to have the support of a Jewish community and the resources to create the traditional ceremony of my dreams.”

The couple even found their incredible ketubah artist, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Noa Attias, through Brides Club! It was important for Emily and Harrison to pick a ketubah they’d love hanging in their home as a piece of art, and when they stumbled onto Noa’s work they knew they’d found just the thing – and how gorgeous is their Glory ketubah with a blue watercolor background?!

How we Met

Emily, the bride: Harrison and I are currently federal government contractors. I make a career shift this fall through Clemson University’s accelerated nursing program. Harrison and I met in September 2017 in Charleston, SC at a bar (formerly) called Voodoo. I had just moved to Charleston two weeks before and it was an instant connection. We got engaged on New Year’s Day 2021.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Casablanca Bride for a Pandemic Jewish Wedding at Indian Trail Club, Franklin Lakes, NJ, USA

14/03/2022 by Karen Cinnamon

Rachel & Ben, Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes, NJ, USA

Like so many couples over the past few years, Rachel and Ben’s plans for their Jewish wedding were upended by the pandemic. Rachel, who works in the Senate, and Ben, who runs a tech startup, ended up with a celebration – or rather, two celebrations – that looked a lot different than what they’d initially planned.

But both their March 2021 family-only micro ceremony and their October 2021 reception for a larger crowd were SO full of love and joy, we can’t imagine anything better. We’re in love with the photos by Berit Bizjak (March) and Phillip Van Nostrand (October). And how amazing is it that all eight grandparents were present to witness Rachel and Ben’s marriage?!

And of course we’re totally obsessed with the pair’s beautiful hand papercut ketubah by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Noa Attias! Rachel and Ben are thrilled to have such a gorgeous and meaningful piece of art to commemorate their bond, and they loved working with Noa, who was super flexible with their constantly changing wedding date! The duo have become such fans of Noa that they’ve purchased more of her fabulous art since their big day.

Now over to the bride…

Rachel, the bride: We met as undergraduate students in NYC when Rachel was set up with Ben to accompany him to a dance in the spring of 2013, and we started dating that fall. The rest is history!Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Limor Rosen Bride for an Autumnal Bohemian Jewish Wedding at Aix La Chapelle Farm in Poolesville, Maryland

28/01/2022 by Karen Cinnamon

Ally & Barry, Aix La Chapelle Farm in Poolesville, MD, USA

We can’t get enough of all the glorious personal touches Ally, an enrollment manager for SoCal Food Allergy Institute, and Barry, a commercial real estate agent, threw into their gorgeous Jewish farm wedding in Maryland.

Incorporating friends and family into the ceremony was a priority for the pair, and we love what they came up with: for starters, Ally’s grandparents were part of the processional, and her grandmas were the “flower women” –  and it was such a hit that some of the groomsmen even took on the role of “flower men” and adorned the aisle with dried flower petals!

Israel is near and dear to Ally and Barry’s hearts – and Ally was able to not only buy her gown from a fabulous Israeli designer, she bought it at the flagship store in Tel Aviv on a work trip to Israel! Limor Rosen herself helped Ally pick out her dress – how special is that?!

The couple also opted to work with mega-talented Israeli ketubah artist and Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Noa Attias to create their exquisite Love Ketubah. Ally and Barry wanted some cohesiveness to all the decor, invitations, and the ketubah, so they worked with Noa to have fonts the same as their wedding invitation on the ketubah!

There are so many more fabulous details of this special day – don’t miss the incredible photos from An Endless Pursuit and Strand of Light, and video from Shutter and Sound!

How we Met

Ally, the bride: We met 7 years ago when Ally was working at Indiana University Hillel and Barry was working for Hasbara Fellowships, an Israel advocacy organization. He came to IU to lead a workshop with some of Ally’s students and the rest was history. We dated long distance for 2 and ½ years and eventually Ally moved to Los Angeles to be with Barry.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Classically Elegant Jewish Wedding at Hazelton Manor, Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada

13/09/2021 by Karen Cinnamon

Mimmi and Justin, Hazelton Manor, Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada
We’re so in love with the classic Jewish wedding of Mimmi, a makeup artist, and Justin, who works in finance! Being a wedding pro herself, it’s no surprise Mimmi pulled together an absolutely picture-perfect day, with everything from an ultra-elegant custom gown by Paloma Blanca to a stunning floral chuppah to magazine-ready photos by Lace & Luce.

While Mimmi always thought she’d do her own wedding day makeup, a month before the big day she realized it would be too stressful and made the smart decision to book Faces by Tess, who did a totally fabulous job while also freeing Mimmi up to focus on the spirituality of her special day.

We’re also obsessed with Mimmi and Justin’s exquisite paper cut ketubah, custom designed by the talented Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Noa Attias in Israel!

And did we mention that the couple opted to end their big day with a henna party, in honor of Justin’s Moroccan heritage? Obsessed!

We’ll let Mimmi and Justin fill you in on the rest…

How we Met

Mimmi, the bride and Justin, the groom: Justin saw Mimmi at the library two years ago. He usually never approaches girls as he is really shy and conservative but this time he just had to approach her because she looked absolutely beautiful. Once he approached her there was no looking back.

A few months later Justin suffered a serious panic attack that landed him in the hospital, he had an existential crisis for 3 months and didn’t feel like the same person he once was. Mimmi was there for him during these 3 months, they got to know each other on a mental, emotional, and spiritual level. After these few months Justin knew what he had in front of him and wasted no time to propose with a beautiful custom designed radiant cut diamond. Six months later we are married!Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Pronovias Bride for a Desert Jewish Wedding at McCormick Ranch Golf Club, Arizona, USA

09/08/2021 by Karen Cinnamon

Jessica and Daniel, McCormick Ranch Golf Club, Arizona, USA

We love it when a couple takes advantage of their wedding as a way to showcase their hometown pride. So naturally we’re obsessed with the Scottsdale, Arizona, wedding of Jessica, a 4th grade teacher, and Daniel, an actuary. Both born and raised in the Phoenix metro area, these two love the dramatic landscape of their home state and wanted to showcase it for their guests.

Even though the couple had to cut down their guest list to just close family and their wedding party for their March 2021 wedding in light of the pandemic, they were still able to make it official at their original venue, McCormick Ranch Golf Club, with an outdoor chuppah overlooking the sunset over Camelback Mountain in the distance. Doesn’t get much more quintessentially Arizona than that – don’t miss the gorgeous photos by Ryan Nicole Photography.

We’re also obsessed with the couple’s wonderful ketubah was designed and created by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Noa Attias. Jessica loved it so much that after seeing the finished product, she ordered a challah board by Noa Attias as her wedding gift to Daniel!

Now over to the bride, who looked ever so elegant in Pronovias…
