WOW! What a Facebook Live we had last Thursday, live from central London’s most prestigious wedding dress store, Browns Bride.
I spent most of it open-mouthed, taking in the breathtaking bridal gowns from one of the most sought-after wedding dress designers in the world, the imitable Ines Di Santo… and I had to pinch myself that Ines herself was actually standing right there next to me! #starstruckmoment
Yes – that’s right, Ines Di Santo herself flew into London to be interviewed by Smashing The Glass and she could not have been more delightful. It was a true honor and pleasure to be in her company and to talk to her about her sensational work, inspiration and processes.
We were also treated to Caroline Burstein (above) former Creative Director of Mayfair’s Browns, and founder of the legendary Browns Bride, live on air with us. Caroline’s wealth of knowledge and insightful tips and advice were so appreciated by our live audience around the globe. Another huge thrill for Smashing The Glass to interview her live on air!
We were treated to a diverse range of heart-stirring looks, from structured and flirtatious on one end of the spectrum, to lavish gowns layered with peplums, beading, and sparkles for a dramatic ‘modern ballgown’ feel.
We also saw some sensational statement two-in-one styles, and overskirts that brilliantly illustrate how you can create two different looks for your chuppah ceremony and party. These drew virtual gasps in the comments boxes with lots of ‘wooooah’s and wow’s. We ADORED all your comments, questions, interaction and shares. Thank you so much!
It was also a privilege to have Veronica Di Santo (below) Ines’s daughter and business partner, join us live on air too (catch her making an appearance at 46 mins in!).
Thank you also to the AMAZING Camilla J Collins for doing the exquisite make up for me and our two gorgeous models, Issy and Sarah.
Camilla transformed me in a matter of minutes and I cannot tell you how gorgeous I felt (and looked!) and she’s such a delight to be around too. If you haven’t yet booked your make up artist for your Big Day I cannot recommend Camilla enough (and she does hair too!). She is of course a much-loved STG Recommended Vendor and all her details are here.
The incredible Joseph Koniak, who is without a doubt one of the UK’s leading bridal hair stylists, styled the two models hair to perfection, and Smashing The Glass HIGHLY recommends Joseph for your wedding day hair – definitely one of the best in the business! All his details are here.
Finally, thank you also to Keith Appleby who took these wonderful behind-the-scenes images on the night. A truly spectacular live show in every way, don’t you think?
I felt truly spoiled to be in the company of such greats — this was definitely one of my very favorite Facebook Lives yet. If you missed the live show, you can watch the replay here or at just below, and do tell me: which dress is your favourite?!
Make sure you like the Smashing The Glass Facebook page to be notified of all future shows.
