A Stella York Bride for an Intimate, Elegant Interfaith Jewish Wedding at Anderson House, Washington, DC, USA

03/04/2023 by Karen Cinnamon

Carlee-Eric-Anderson-House-Washington-USA

Today’s fabulous interfaith Jewish wedding is just beyond chic – from the historic venue to the floral chuppah to the oh-so-elegant place settings and beyond.

Carlee and Eric fell in love with Anderson House as soon as they set eyes on it – and it was truly the perfect spot for their intimate, timeless day, surrounded by close family and friends. With such an exquisite venue, they didn’t need to do much to make it shine – and so they stuck to a neutral color scheme of white and blush mixed with greenery.

We love the couple’s simple floral chuppah – and the wonderful ketubah from Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor ketubah.com that went along with it. Carlee and Eric picked a design by artist Angela Munitz mirroring the green leaves that adorned their chuppah, combined with soothing blues. They were so thrilled to be able to select an interfaith ketubah that symbolizes their love and mutual respect for each other. Don’t miss it all in Manda Weaver Photography‘s romantic images of the day.

We’ll let Carlee – who found the perfect gown in her simple, elegant Stella York  style – fill you in on the rest.

How We Met

Carlee, the bride: We first met in law school in 2016 at the University of Florida, and Eric was one year ahead of Carlee. We were friends during law school, and then Eric spent his last semester in Chicago. After Carlee graduated in 2019, Eric moved back to Florida, they reconnected and have been inseparable since then.

Our first date was at The Breakers in Palm Beach, and this is where Eric proposed. We were walking in the courtyard when all of a sudden, Eric was down on one knee. I was completely surprised and had no idea it would happen. Our parents were watching from inside and have a video of the entire proposal. It was very sentimental since we had spent so much time in Palm Beach while we were dating and living in West Palm Beach.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Maggie Sottero Bride for an Industrial Rustic Jewish Wedding at the Art Factory in Paterson, New Jersey, USA

27/07/2020 by Karen Cinnamon

Avi-and-Daniel-Art-Factory-in-Paterson-New-Jersey
Okay, HOW gorgeous is Avi and Daniel’s birch chuppah?! We adore every detail of the rustic industrial Jewish wedding of Avi, a pediatric audiologist, and Daniel, who works in real estate, but this chuppah really takes the (wedding) cake. Artfully adorned with occasional pops of red, white, and pink flowers plus hanging greenery – and covered with family tallitot – we’re totally in love with the overall effect.

The chuppah was the perfect fit for Avi and Daniel’s super cool venue, the Art Factory in Paterson, New Jersey. We love the eclectic warehouse vibe, the big windows and abundant natural light, and even comes with its own prop room! These two dressed the space up perfectly with giant paper flowers, vintage sewing machines, and all kinds of other awesome touches. We’re loving every single detail in Amy Sims’ wonderful photos, and Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Kiss the Bride Films’ trailer is so full of emotion and love – pure perfection!

And how special is it that the couple’s beautiful navy paper cut ketubah was crafted by the groom’s mother?! She designed and calligraphed it from start to finish, all by hand.

We’ll let Avi, who looked so lovely in Maggie Sottero, tell you about the rest…

Warehouse Vibes

We got married at the Art Factory in Paterson, New Jersey. It has a very eclectic warehouse vibe, and you can use the entire space however you want, using their prop room or bringing in whatever materials you want. This made our celebration so personalized because the space was completely naked and we decorated how we wanted to. Continue ReadingContinue Reading
