A Galia Lahav Bride for a Breathtaking Jewish Wedding at Tintswalo Atlantic, Cape Town, South Africa

This is one special Jewish wedding! NYC couple Camila, from Argentina, and Ben, from the US, first met while travelling to Cape Town in 2019, and as soon as they got engaged they knew they wanted to make things official in the magical place where they first met.

The couple dreamed of a chuppah in front of the same ocean where their love story began, and from the moment they set eyes on Tintswalo Atlantic, they knew it was the venue for them – don’t miss the stunning images and video of the mountainside chuppah from Nikki van Diermen and Gustav Franke, respectively.  

When it came time to outfit herself for the wedding, beautiful bride Camila turned to Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Galia Lahav. She chose not one but two stunning dresses from the beloved Israeli bridal designer. For the pre-wedding Shabbat celebration, Camila went for an elegantly minimal soft crepe halter-neck gown, and for the wedding day itself she chose a tulle A-line masterpiece inspired by the graceful movement of petals in slow motion.

How We Met

Camila, the bride: We met in Cape Town in 2019, on the beach. I was there for a modeling job, and Ben was visiting on vacation. From that moment on, we started exploring the city together and having the best time, which made the last weeks of our trip even more exciting.

We dated long-distance for four years, me in Argentina and Ben in the U.S. Eventually, we decided to take the next step and move in together in New York City, where we now live. A year later, Ben proposed to me in Mendoza, Argentina.

We love that when Daniella and Adam set out to plan their Jewish wedding, their top priority was for it to feel relaxed, like a big party. And with the help of their amazing wedding planner, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Elegante by Michelle J, the couple were able to make their big day at London’s Wallace Collection feel like exactly that!

Planning on getting married in Israel I went straight to Galia Lahav in Tel Aviv back in Oct 2019 with my bridesmaids a few months after Adam and I got engaged, I had always loved her dresses and didn’t even consider going to look anywhere else first.  The dress I chose ended up being one I had actually picked out before my first appointment!  I loved the flower detailing on the body, the open back and the flowy sheer skirt.

When Sydney and Chaim began planning their dream wedding, they knew they wanted something magical, elegant, and undeniably “them.” The moment they stepped into The Estate at Florentine Gardens in River Vale, New Jersey, they were completely smitten. The ceremony space—with its high ceilings, grand windows, and stunning European-inspired architecture—was love at first sight.

How We Met

Sydney, the bride: We were set up through a mutual friend. One evening, my sister convinced me to join her and her friends for a night of bowling. A friend asked if I was looking to meet someone and if so what was I looking for. I said: tall, nice and family oriented. The friend said you must meet my roommate, Chaim: tall, nice and one of eight kids-how much more family oriented can you get! We love a good Manchester wedding – and this is one for the books! Smashing The Glass Brides Club member Tal, a biology teacher, and Solly, a strategy consultant, live in London, but when it came time to plan their wedding Tal was eager to share her hometown up north with all her family and friends. The couple found the perfect spot for their classic winter wedding in Manchester’s Kimpton Clocktower, and we’re so proud that Brides Club helped then source their dream venue!

Part of what Tal and Solly loved about The Kimpton Clocktower was its spacious ballroom, which let them have the big dance floor of their dreams – just check out the exquisite photos by Rob Clayton and trailer by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Denee Motion for proof that it was put to excellent use!
