Galia Lahav Bridal Fashion Show {Live from Browns Bride}

You might have noticed I’m just a little obsessed with Israeli bridal designers. It’s no secret that today Israel just happens to be home to a disproportionate number of top designers creating cutting-edge gowns that are truly works of art. And one of the best of the best is Galia Lahav.
I was lucky enough to snag Galia Lahav’s head designer Sharon Sever as a participant in my Smashing Summit at the beginning of the year – we chatted about style ideas for the fashion-forward bride.

 
This week I’ll be luckier still, because THE Galia Lahav herself will be chatting with me live on the Smashing The Glass Facebook page Friday, 23 November, and we’ll get to see some of the totally breathtaking designs from her fall 2019 collections. 

One of the most sought-after bridal designers in the world, Galia Lahav began her career in the art world, and her background as an artist shines through in every piece that carries her name. She got her start in the bridal world creating custom gowns for brides in Israel over 30 years ago, and the rest is history. Based in Israel, Galia rarely makes international appearances, so this is a real honor for Smashing The Glass!

How to have a wedding that DOESN’T look and feel like everyone else’s {with Kwame Knight of Events by Knight}

We’re talking about a topic we’ve never openly discussed before on this week’s Facebook Live, and it’s actually one of the big reasons I started Smashing The Glass, and it’s this: Sometimes Jewish weddings can start feeling a little same-y.
 
If you’re here, I’m guessing that’s not what you’re after. But the question of exactly how to have a wedding that doesn’t end up looking and feeling like everyone else’s can be a tricky one to answer. 
 
The truth is, there are SO many ways to bring your personality into your wedding, from decor to food to venue choice… even the decision to have a destination wedding! But as a wedding planning novice, it’s not always easy to identify them.

Behind-The-Scenes at the Galia Lahav 2019 Fashion Show at Browns Bride, London

OMG last night was sooooo fabulous! I debuted my fabulous new pink STG-branded mic for a special ‘behind the scenes’ Facebook Live show at London’s world-famous Browns Bride, to showcase the breathtaking new Galia Lahav 2019 collection of dreams.

There were press, bloggers, and brides aplenty, all waiting in anticipation for the fashion show which revealed Galia Lahav’s latest jaw-dropping bridal collection, ‘Queen of Hearts’ (very aptly named with Royal Wedding fever in the air!).

Known for creating some of the most covetable and fashion forward styles in bridal, there was a real buzz in the air and STG wanted to capture ALL the Galia Lahav thrills with our ‘behind the scenes’ Facebook Live show.

Facebook Live Catch Up: Luxe Wedding Dress Trends for 2018/19 – Live from Mirror Mirror London

Back in January we filmed our first big Facebook Live of 2018, and boy, was it one for the records!

Live-broadcasting from one of the world’s most gorgeous bridal boutiques, London’s Mirror Mirror (a much-loved Recommended Vendor), I was lucky enough to meet with co-founders Maria and Jane, sisters-in-law who started their business 29 years ago out of a shared passion for artisan bridal fashion.

These two inspirational ladies, who I got to know after noticing that so many of our STG Real Brides bought their gowns from Mirror Mirror, are both designers and stockists of some of the hottest international bridal designers, including Nurit Hen, Hayley Paige, YolanCris, Gemy Maalouf, and Atelier Pronovias. So who better to talk us through the top luxury wedding dress trends for 2018/19?

We had the amazing Roberta Facchini Photography on hand to sneak some behind-the-scenes photos. She was a joy to work with, and I’m absolutely delighted to share the images she snapped with you!
