A Maison Aries Bride for a Magical Autumnal Jewish Wedding at Villa Le Corti in San Casciano Val di Pesa, Tuscany, Italy

18/04/2022 by Karen Cinnamon

Ludivine and David, Villa le Corti, Italy

Today’s couple, Ludivine and David, had one of the most exquisite autumn Jewish weddings we’ve seen – and we see a lot! With the help of their amazing wedding planner, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Deborah di Castro, the pair was able to bring all of their Tuscan autumnal fantasies to life – and then some!

They opted for moody autumnal colors, from rusted orange to deep violet, and their décor went all in on the autumnal fruits Italy is known for, like chestnuts and figs. And don’t even get us started on the couple’s amazing chuppah – absolutely not to be missed in Antonio Carneroli’s magical photos.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Ludivine and David started out with a totally dreamy venue, Villa Le Corti – pure Tuscan romance. And we’re obsessed with Ludivine’s unconventional gown from Maison Aries – such a unique, modern look, yet 100% fit for a fairy tale princess.

Now over to Ludivine…

How we Met

Ludivine, the bride: David was my tutor in law school for a semester in 2014, and was at the same time buddies with my brother. From 2014 to 2019 we would run into each other at birthdays, weddings, parties. We finally met again, in May 2020, in the middle of Covid. Since that day, we never left each other. An Antonio Grimaldi Bride for a Magnificent Countryside Jewish Wedding at Antonello Colonna, Rome, Italy

05/07/2021 by Karen Cinnamon

Daniel and Daria, Antonello Colonna Resort, Rome, Italy

Get ready to be blown away by the positively swoonworthy Italian Jewish wedding of Roman couple Daria, a physiotherapist, and Daniel, a real estate developer – and get ready to be even more blown away when you find out they pulled it together in just 40 days between lockdowns.

These two had their glorious countryside luxe wedding at the most incredible venue just outside Rome all planned and ready to go when COVID hit. Like so many other 2020 couples, they had to postpone. Then, in the summer, when things were opening back up during a lull in the pandemic, Daria and Daniel saw their chance and they went for it – pulling everything together for their new date in just a little over a month!

That’s an impressive timeline for any wedding, let alone one as opulent as Daria and Daniel’s! How did they do it? With the help of an incredible wedding planner, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Deborah di Castro, who made sure everything – from the big-picture stuff to the tiniest details, like personalizing everything from masks and bottles of hand sanitizer to flip flops with the couple’s logo – was taken care of.

And were there ever some impressive details! For starters, feast your eyes on Antonio Carneroli’s dreamy images of the couple’s glorious chuppah, their exquisite table scapes, and, above all, the epic love and joy shining through in each and every shot – and don’t miss the trailer from Sesame Films, which makes us feel as if we’d been right there with Daria and Daniel on their day.

How we met

Daria, the bride: We met in elementary school and we were in the same class, but during high school I changed schools. After a few years we met again and we fell in love.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

An Atelier Acqua Chiara Bride for an Enchanted Forest Fairy Tale Wedding at Castello di Tor Crescenza, Rome, Italy

10/01/2020 by Karen Cinnamon

Jewish wedding at Castello di Tor Crescenza Rome Italy_0009
A lot of weddings draw inspiration from fairy tales. But the Jewish wedding of Benedetta, who works in sales, and Ilya, in finance, really takes it up to the next level. Seriously, we’re still picking our jaws up off the floor after scrolling through their incredible photos, which really look like they could’ve come out of the latest live action Disney blockbuster.

When the couple first met with their amazing planner, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Deborah Di Castro, they knew she was the one when, on hearing the bride’s vision, she said, “It will be exactly like going to Snow White’s wedding!” And honestly, we’d be hard pressed to come up with a better description ourselves. You don’t want to miss Antonio Carneroli’s incredible photos and Sesame Films’ moving vide of the day.

There’s no better spot for a fairy tale wedding than a castle, and so Castello di Tor Crescenza was a fitting choice of venue. The whole affair, from outdoor chuppah to indoor reception, had a distinctly enchanted forest feel to it, bursting with peonies, roses, and hydrangeas in all shades of pinks and reds, plus some artfully arranged berries and forest foliage. Abundant candles, crystal chandeliers, and metallics brought in more than a hint of Beauty and the Beast’s enchanted castle, too.

Oh, and did we mention that that the couple had a henna in honor of Benedetta’s Libyan heritage? Looks like so much fun!

We could go on and on about this dreamy day, but we’ll leave it to the bride, who looked ravishingly romantic in her custom gown from Atelier Acqua Chiara, to fill you in on the rest…

How we met

Benedetta, the bride: Ilya and I met in South Africa during a holiday with friends. We immediately felt a connection and became friends straight away,  and that friendship turned into a relationship very early on!
