Today’s couple, Ludivine and David, had one of the most exquisite autumn Jewish weddings we’ve seen – and we see a lot! With the help of their amazing wedding planner, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Deborah di Castro, the pair was able to bring all of their Tuscan autumnal fantasies to life – and then some!
They opted for moody autumnal colors, from rusted orange to deep violet, and their décor went all in on the autumnal fruits Italy is known for, like chestnuts and figs. And don’t even get us started on the couple’s amazing chuppah – absolutely not to be missed in Antonio Carneroli’s magical photos.
Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Ludivine and David started out with a totally dreamy venue, Villa Le Corti – pure Tuscan romance. And we’re obsessed with Ludivine’s unconventional gown from Maison Aries – such a unique, modern look, yet 100% fit for a fairy tale princess.
Now over to Ludivine…
How we Met
Ludivine, the bride: David was my tutor in law school for a semester in 2014, and was at the same time buddies with my brother. From 2014 to 2019 we would run into each other at birthdays, weddings, parties. We finally met again, in May 2020, in the middle of Covid. Since that day, we never left each other.
A Tuscan Wedding
We chose Villa Le Corti in San Casciano val di pesa , and we fell in love because it was exactly the Tuscany mood we were looking for and we really wanted to get married there. It was big enough for us.
Autumnal Vibes
We had an AMAZING wedding planner called Deborah di Castro and our theme was autumn mood made of colours like orange, violet, sienna color, grape and we use fruits on the decor as chestnuts and figs.
Invitations / stationery
The stationery was designed by my best friend Emily Haccoun, very talented girl.
Hair + Make-up
My hair and make up was by Suely Menichetti.
A Maison Aries Dress
My dress was made by Maison Aries, a man called Piotr, an amazing and very creative designer. It was an unconventional dress , very light, modern and romantic at the same time.
Accessories
I wore only a veil as I wanted to be elegant but simple.
Shoes
I wore Jimmy Choo shoes.
The handsome groom
Davi was dressed by Maison Jacob with a velvet black shoes
Ceremony
I was so excited and confused and happy that I was completely overwhelmed at the ceremony. Rav Azimov designed my ketubah.
Chuppah
I decided with Deborah di Castro that both of us loved colours and creativity. The mood as I said was autumn so we chose all the deep colours.
Our Music Choice
We had a live band called ROSE MUSIC, very original group, so we had pop music , French music and of course Hebrew songs.
Flowers
The floral designer was flo-w floral couture and my bouquet was very simple, with a big hydrangea.
Photographer and videographer
As photographer we had Antonio Carneroli and as a videomaker Emanuele Scipioni of Sesame Wedding Art.
Food and Cake
My catering was Lebonton and the cake was inspired by Pinterest white with red fruits.
Entertainment
We had a band, Rose Music. We planned a public dance, so when the music started David and I started our choreography on the stage.
Favours
Since we get married in Florence, as favours we had extra virgin olive oil bottles with our logo and design.
Advice to couples currently planning their wedding
My suggest is to find someone who can help you, someone you believe in. And have fun and live each moment, since the wedding run very fast and the day after when you wake up you’ll wish you could do it again.
