If you’re considering casting the biggest day of your life in a romantic sun-drenched destination and are fancy a trend setting, stylish and contemporary vibe – bespoke but definitely twinkly – then you simply must be introduced to Reviva Weddings. I’ve been following them for a while now and am totally impressed with this Marbella- based team of wedding planners, known for creating cutting edge weddings across Spain.
Jewish Weddings in Spain
Reviva Weddings has built up an extraordinary network of suppliers and has become one of the most established and popular wedding planners in Spain. And importantly for STG readers, they have created many beautiful Jewish weddings.
Having organised epic Jewish weddings for up to 400 guests, and with an understanding of the requirements for Jewish and mixed faith marriages, you’ll be in very capable hands with British-born Reviva founder, Laura Charles and her team. From beautifully dressed chuppahs to venues who can offer kosher catering, they’re on it.
You had me at “Interior Designer”
Apart from the planning and coordination services you’d hope for, Reviva is holding a major trump card — Laura Charles, the owner, is an interior designer. This is the first time I’ve come across an interior designer turned wedding planner and it’s like music to my ears. After all, this is one day when you need someone to really take charge of the mise en scà¨ne, to craft the stage and create the atmosphere and oh my, she is darn good at it.
Laura, who has lived in Spain for years, started Reviva in 2007 originally as a wedding stylist. There was a real demand for super stylish weddings in Spain but it didn’t seem like anyone was renting out any decor or equipment at all. You couldn’t even hire a chair sash, let alone sequin table runners and a neon bar.
So she started Reviva, doing both wedding styling (including equipment/props hire) and the full wedding planning service. Because of her background and passion for the visual, Laura has formed an extremely accomplished, design-focused company. And to help – she has a fabulous team of trained wedding planners behind her who are brilliant, bilingual, and supremely creative. All ready to organise and style your day.
Why Spain?
Quite simply it’s an amazing place to host you and your guests for the biggest trip of your life. Spain is undeniably a stunning part of the world and boasts such a vast array of wedding-perfect landscapes.
There are the funky cities of Barcelona, Madrid and Cadiz — think modern urban chic juxtaposed with centuries old buildings and palaces, bustling plazas with fountains and luxury hotels. Then there’s the chilled out white hot beaches of Ibiza and Tarifa, the many stunning montaà±as and then you have the rather refined and beautiful inland rustic haciendas and cortijos dotted all around inland Spain.
It’s a gloriously passionate country, full of life, vistas, fiestas, flamenco and food. It’s unique history and traditions evoke drama and a very theatrical setting for a wedding — just think of those photos!
Pop over to Reviva’s blog and see the wedding of Canadian couple Kareemah and Ioulian. I love the romantic story behind their reason to marry in Spain.
Where in Spain?
Reviva has organized some magnificent weddings in Mabella, Malaga, Madrid, Toledo, Seville, Barcelona, and far beyond, and will happily travel across Spain and the Baleriacs to bring their team to your event.
And as Laura is English (living in Marbella) she can short cut to the essence of what you want to create, without a worry of anything being lost in translation. At the same time she knows and understands Spain. It helps too that she is a people person who really connects with the couples she is working with and she just gets it.
Reviva’s Look book
When you leaf through the wedding images of the Reviva’s gallery — it’s like Condà© Nast Traveller meets Vanity Fair’s society pages.
From getting ready, to the ceremony, to the all-important dancing afterwards, the images capture the essence of each day and give you an indication of just what Reviva is capable of. Take a look for yourself and enjoy a trip around Spain, one gorgeous party at a time.
Trendsetting Ideas
Laura and her team keep many fingers on the pulse and are always ready for the next big thing, those interesting new touches that create the wow factor. As Laura says “I find the fashion world heads up the trends first and I watch these filter down and get translated into interiors and of course the wedding business”
Just look at their blog and you can pick up some great hot of the press wedding tips and inspiration. I love this billowing coloured smoke effect. Certainly makes for some great atmospheric photos.
There is nothing maà±ana about the way Laura and her team work. Except perhaps the forward thinking ideas and upcoming trends she is more than willing to bestow on her clients.
Wedding Planning Perfection
Reviva prides itself on offering a very personal and tailor made service to each of their clients. They will help you find your perfect venue, recommend and book your suppliers, oversee your budget, payments, timelines, attend all meetings, help your guests with their concierge service and work with you to style your day.
And that includes decorations, linens, flowers, stationary and all the accessories and props it takes to create the right and very bespoke look — even if that means pineapple lilos and pink flamingos!
All you have to worry about is choosing your dress and rock up looking truly fabulous!
There are so many pluses to a magical, romantic European wedding – with a friends and family holiday thrown in. And if Spain is your choice, you’d be hard pushed to find a better and more passionate group of established wedding planners and stylists to lead your day than Reviva.
