An Epic Super Luxe Romantic and Regal Jewish Wedding With an Eight-Foot Train and a Ten-Tier Cake at Thornton Manor, UK

11/08/2017 by Karen

Jewish Wedding Thornton Manor UK
Get ready, because you’re about to witness a real Jewish wedding like no other. We’re serious – you will never see another wedding like this one, in all of its grand and romantic glory.

Haley and Boston’s big day included an astoundingly theatrical and beautiful dress, with a regal 8ft tulle-embellished train, and a stunning 16ft veil, topped with a crown fit for a queen. The entire look was evocative of Swan Lake and past royal weddings, with an edge of high-fashion glamor. Ah-mazing!

Can we also take a moment to appreciate Haley and Boston’s literally larger-than-life ten-tier wedding cake? It was such an imposing centerpiece that the couple had to stand on a ladder to cut it!

As bride, Haley, had been planning her wedding since she was three years old, it was going to take one incredible planner / stylist to pull off her epic vision of a romantic, stately aesthetic, accented with gothic black (we love the bridesmaids in black!).

Enter our epically talented Recommended Vendor, Qube Events, whose spectacular work is evident in every image, and every frame of the gorgeous wedding video below, both shot by the awesome Jon Bird.

We just know you’re going to be absolutely adore this wedding as much as we did, so get ready to be blown away. Oh, and watch out for Haley’s very special surprise under the chuppah! All we’ll say is, that’s dedication! Enjoy!

How we met

Haley, the bride: My husband is a professor and coffee roaster/coffee owner and I was working for a non-profit organization. But I recently went back to school to complete my masters and then hopefully my PhD after.

A traditional, English venue

We got married at Thornton Manor. We loved the Manor because it was traditional and English, but had a intimate feel to it. I was also happily surprised when they allowed us to have a dry bar. They were the only venue that didn’t react when we said we wanted a dry bar.

This was a huge part of our decision, that we weren’t treated any differently because we didn’t want drinking at our wedding.

A Galia Lahav Bride for a Luxe Jew-ish Wedding at Lost Orangery, Euridge Manor, UK

31/07/2017 by Karen Cinnamon

Rachel and Alex’s Jew-ish wedding took place on a very, very rainy September day – but this fun-loving couple embraced the weather wholeheartedly, and unreservedly had the best day of their lives.

This gorgeous wedding was all about making much-loved guests, who had come for a full weekend in the countryside, feel special and appreciated. Considerate couple, Rachel and Alex, went above and beyond with caring, personalized touches, providing a plethora of fabulous favors, handwritten notes and even hangover kits.

We LOVE the oh-so-Israeli story of how beautiful bride Rachel found her dream Galia Lahav dress (we won’t ruin it for you, it’s too funny), and the celebration of divine Israeli designers – we’re with you, Rachel!

Not one, but two of our fabulous Recommended Vendors were involved with this gorgeous big day, including incredible florist, Mary Jane Vaughan and videographer, HD Moments, who shot the stunning, cinematic wedding video below and submitted this amazing W-Day to us.

The details and emotion of the day were captured by the talented photographer, Aga Tomaszek, and the witty writeup below was by Rachel, the bride. We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we did.

How we met

Rachel, the bride: We met at Movida nightclub. A not-so-classy establishment, but we instantly clicked. While I don’t believe you can ‘love’ someone at first sight, we both just knew that we would have a future together of some kind, but never in my wildest dreams did I imagine it to be as fairytale-like as it is!

A Galia Lahav Bride for a Super Luxe Jewish Wedding, with an Epic Chuppah, at The Dorchester, London, UK

21/06/2017 by Karen

Jewish-Wedding-The-Dorchester-London-UK_0126
Brace yourselves, because today’s real Jewish wedding can only be described as a work of art, and we are really not exaggerating.

Georgia and Sam tied the knot at iconic London landmark, The Dorchester. Sam is a banker, while Georgia, a photographer and fitness instructor, is the daughter of Julian Posner, CEO of internationally renowned wedding and events company,  Banana Split, which is famed for transforming events into sensational worlds, with no detail spared.

Georgia and Sam’s winter wonderland vision, complete with a sea of hundreds, possibly thousands of candles, was realised by Banana Split, with an abundance of flowers by  Wild at Heart  adorning the room, and an awe-inspiring light bulb installation, with a couple of incredible twists (we won’t ruin them for you, read on).

The entire spectacular production, which included a phenomenal nightclub setup, was not only perfectly captured by masterful photographer  Robert Shack, but with his sensitive eye and artistic vision, the resulting images are absolutely timeless and extremely striking. We feel very honored and excited to have them grace our pages.

We invite you, as always, to enjoy the images below, Georgia’s account of her big day plans, and the tearjerker of a wedding teaser by the wonderful team at  AtMotion.

We hope you love it all as much as we do!

Divine dà©cor at The Dorchester

Georgia, the bride: We got married at The Dorchester in central London. It has always been a favourite venue of mine and the dà©cor and interior design worked really well with our designs and those which Banana Split created for us, as well as our caterer

An intimate traditional-meets-modern orthodox Jewish wedding with a Monique Lhuillier bride at The Fort Garry Hotel, Winnipeg, Canada

09/06/2017 by Karen

Jewish Wedding The Fort Garry Hotel Winnipeg Canada--16
Wrap up warm, everybody, today’s real wedding comes to you from the deepest of winter in Winnipeg, Canada, submitted by beautiful bride, Lindsay.

With limited Jewish community resources, David, a doctor (a Jewish doctor – living the dream) and dance choreographer, Lindsay, were determined to plan their perfect modern orthodox day, and through the powers of persuasion, imagination and determination, that’s exactly what they did.

David and Lindsay proved that it’s not about what denomination of Judaism you follow, nor how observant you are – at the end of the day, our shared community and spirit is what matters.

The theme was clean, elegant and white with an abundance of flowers and candles (I mean, look at that chuppah – and the seven-tier ruffled cake. Divine!). It was a small, intimate day with just 75 guests and a heartwarming focus on the importance of family. The chic big day was captured by photographer and a close friend of the bride, Kristen Sawatzky.

Lindsay looked simply divine in her Monique Lhuillier, with its adorable, quirky bow detail and sheer veil covering her during the chuppah ceremony.

Over to Lindsay for the rest of the details – take it away, Lindsay!

How we met

Lindsay, the bride: How we met was the greatest shidduch, in my opinion. Three separate active Jewish families in the Winnipeg community strived to set up the Jewish doctor from Montreal with a successful professional dance choreographer, Winnipeg born and raised. They all thought we would be the perfect match.

After several phone calls and emails, we finally met on a blind date at Starbucks! That was five and a half years ago. Soul mates we truly are, it was completely beshert. Our lives changed for the better and we can’t imagine our lives without each other.

A gold New Year’s Eve-themed Jewish wedding at Hyatt Regency New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA

05/05/2017 by Karen

HAPPY NEW YEAR! OK, maybe that’s a little premature, but we love the idea of sneaking in an extra New Year’s Eve,for one night only, and that’s exactly what Amanda and Harry did with their gold, NYE-themed big day.

Amanda and Harry first met as children, and they share so much in their upbringing and communities. But it wasn’t until adulthood that they were reunited, and this time, it was love! In fact, they celebrated their shared history by having their ceremony at the synagogue they both grew up in.

The larger-than-life couple poured their personalities into their big day, with everything from giant ‘Amanda & Harry heads’ to a table dedicated to past family weddings.

Everything was kept in the circle of family and friends, including Harry’s mother singing Amanda down the aisle and the hair and makeup.

The day was captured by dynamic photography duo, Nick and Kelly Photography, and the epic wedding video, just below, is the work of Delia Studios.

Over to the happy couple, now, to tell you all about their big day details! Take it away, Amanda and Harry.

How we met

Amanda, the bride and Harry, the groom: We knew each other as children. We went to Solomon Schechter Day School of Rarity Valley from age five Along the way, we were also members of the same synagogue, Congregation B’nai Tikvah.

During those years at SSDSRV and B’nai Tikvah, our paths didn’t really cross, but they did in the summer of 2009 at The Knight Club in New Brunswick, NJ. Harry was out celebrating his last law school final, and Amanda was out with a girlfriend.

Amanda recognised Harry from across the bar, and since he was staring back, she thought he recognised her, too. She approached him only to find out the staring was simply because he thought she was pretty (but don’t worry, she embarrassed herself by knowing his entire name, while he had barely any clue who she was!) It all worked out, though!
