Okay, we’ve got three words for you: Tent. Of. Lights. Yes, Lindsay and Scott’s gorgeous outdoor dance floor at their destination Jewish wedding in Mexico was draped in the most magical tent of twinkly white lights, and we are totally obsessed with it. You don’t want to miss Julieta Amezcua Photography’s epic photos of it after dark.
Not that Flora Farms is by any means shabby during daylight hours. For starters, the pair married in an actual mango grove, aka tropical paradise. Yes, it’s as stunning as it sounds. Plus the unbelievable natural beauty was complemented by the perfect breezy chuppah, with a gauzy white canopy and just a touch of floral accent.
With a super cool letterpress ketubah from Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Ketubah.com to round things out, it’s safe to say that this was one stylish wedding. And that’s before we even get to Lindsay’s wonderful A-line dress from Watters — with a flowy tulle skirt and a fun floral design on the bodice, it was the perfect fit for this blissed-out day.
We’ll let the bride take it from here…
Flora Farms
Lindsay, the bride: We were married at Flora Farms in San Jose del Cabo. We fell in love with this venue after visiting, and we knew there was no where else we could see ourselves getting married. The venue truly speaks for itself. The Mango Grove has a large open space, where we had our dance floor surrounded by the DJ stand and tables, with a small barn-area for our bar.
A Priceless Planner
We cannot say enough how thankful we are for our wedding planner – Bonnie Chase with Bliss Events. She helped to make our vision a reality. With the natural beauty of Flora Farms, we wanted simple decor with lots of greenery and votive candles.
Hair + Makeup
I went with Olga’s team from Los Cabos Makeup. I went with my hair half up/half down with a natural look for makeup.
A Watters Dress
I purchased my dress through BHLDN, it is a Watters style, A-line dress. As soon as I put it on, I knew this was the one. I loved the simple yet beautiful look with the floral design, the flowy tulle skirt, and the color of ivory.
Accessories Courtesy of the Bridesmaids
I chose to borrow a hairpiece from one of my bridesmaids, I absolutely loved it at her wedding and was so fortunate to have hers as my something borrowed for mine. Another one of my bridesmaids offered to make my veil, it was simple tulle and everything I wanted.
The handsome groom
He wore a custom navy suit with a grey tie, it was a perfect look.
Bridesmaids in Grey
I had the bridesmaids in Show Me Your Mumu dresses. I went with grey because I loved the look with the navy suits, white florals, and greenery. I had them pick their favorite style from the grey options.
A Letterpress Ketubah
We chose our ketubah from Ketubah.com. We decided on our text and design together. We loved the letterpress look and what the text we chose stood for as we start our lives married to one another!
Dancing in the Moonlight
For our processional/recessional, we had a solo guitarist playing. Our first dance was Dancing in the Moonlight because we loved dancing under the tent of lights at Flora Farms.
White Flowers
I chose a simple bouquet with lots of greenery with white florals, this was also used as part of our table decor.
Our Fabulous Photographer
We chose Julieta Amezcua Photography. When deciding on photographers, we loved how she was able to capture so many special moments throughout the entire day/evening.
Music
We used Alex DJ Cabo Events as our entertainment. He played the exact songs we were hoping to hear all night, he kept the dance floor packed and great energy throughout the night.
Family and friends from all over the world
With having a destination wedding, we were fortunate to have our family and friends travel from all over the world to help us celebrate. We hosted a welcome party and rehearsal dinner prior to the big day, which was a great way to spend time with everyone who was in town to help us celebrate. There is something so magical about being at Flora Farms, especially at night under the tent of lights, that made it feel like the most special place to us.
Advice to couples currently planning their wedding
My biggest advice is to not sweat the small stuff. The wedding was the best day for us, and it goes by in the blink of an eye, so I am so glad that we were able to enjoy this day stress-free thanks to Bonnie and her team.
