A Jewish Wedding on the Waterfront at Boston Exchange, Boston, Massachusetts
Rebecca and Benjamin‘s wedding at the historic Boston Exchange showcased the city so beautifully. Located at the end of the Boston Fish Pier, the duo loved that the building has historical significance, panoramic views of the water from the main space, and indoor and outdoor options.

In Rebecca’s words, “We always thought of a wedding planner as an extravagant extra… [but] Luba introduced us to amazing vendors whose prices were more competitive than those we found ourselves. She also negotiated contracts on our behalf and helped us effectively prioritize where to cut and spend money. Having her organize last minute details and communicate with vendors in the days and weeks leading up to the wedding allowed us to focus on our families and enjoy the wedding.”

A Chinese-Jewish Wedding with a Peony Chuppah at the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, Wellesley, Massachusetts
It never fails to set our hearts aflutter when we see a couple merge their diverse backgrounds into one beautiful Jewish wedding. And we adore a peony chuppah. Therefore, we knew from the get go that we were going to fall head over heels for the wonderful Chinese-Jewish wedding of college sweethearts JingJing and Andrew in Wellesley, a suburb of Boston.

Since these two were planning a Massachusetts wedding all the way across the country from their home in Seattle, they knew they’d need some support in planning the big day. And so they turned to the fabulous Luba of Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Primavera Dreams, who they knew they could trust to understand their diverse families and cultures.
Luba worked with the couple to incorporate traditions both Chinese – like pops of red, the traditional Chinese wedding color – and Jewish – like the stunning peony chuppah – into the day. There were even some small touches reflecting the groom’s Russian heritage thrown into the mix, like chamomile incorporated into the florals.

And back to that peony chuppah… peonies are JingJing’s favorite flowers, so it was only natural to showcase them. Mixed with fresh greenery and other flowers in shades of pink, peach, and white, the chuppah struck the perfect balance between minimalism and whimsy, simplicity and lushness.

A Classically Elegant Jewish Wedding Full of Personal Touches at the Langham Boston, Massachusetts
We love it when a couple puts their own stamp on their wedding – which is exactly what Lyndsay and Eric did! When planning their Boston Jewish wedding, the duo prioritized making the day a true reflection of their unique story, incorporating so many lovely personal touches and meaningful details.

How cute is it that Lyndsay and Eric put together a wedding newspaper they shared with their guests, incorporating stories, games, guest awards, and a guide to the Jewish wedding? They even brought Lyndsay’s maiden name, Golden, into their classic color scheme of white, black, and champagne gold.
And we’re obsessed with the couple’s seating chart, which consisted of an envelope for each guest with their name and table number containing a personalized letter. What a special way for Lyndsay and Eric to show their gratitude for the people in their life on the big day!

Lyndsay and Eric chose the Langham Boston not only for its location in the heart of the city, but also for the way it perfectly blended elegance and history. Housed in the iconic old Federal Reserve building, the venue features multiple beautiful and iconic spaces, each showcasing the grandeur and history of the building.

A Hanukkah Wonderland Jewish Wedding at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Boston, Massachusetts
There’s something so special about a Hanukkah wedding – and we’re obsessed with the way Brides Club member Jennie and Ben went all out incorporating the holiday vibes into their big day in Boston.
Though the couple live in London, they met in Boston, and the fact that it was about equidistant between Jennie’s family in California and Ben’s in the UK meant it made sense to make things official there.

With their Jewish wedding falling on the first night of the Festival of Lights, Jennie and Ben opted for a full-on Hanukkah wonderland theme, and we are ALL about it. From the blue-tinged color scheme to the giant (5-foot!) menorah the pair lit at the start of dinner to the dreidels-and-gelt wedding favors, this wedding was chock full of wonderful festive touches. And we haven’t even gotten to the food yet – Jennie and Ben not only served delectable sufganiyot with their dessert; they also had a latke station with several different toppings at the end of the night! How fun is that?

Throughout her wedding planning, Jennie was a member of Smashing The Glass’s Brides Club, and we’re so touched by her kind words about how the community “made the wedding planning process a whole lot easier, especially since I was planning everything from overseas. All of the checklists and resources really allowed us to think about what was important for us. It was also great to have a group of brides who were going through the same process as me or had already completed their weddings – they really helped us not sweat the small stuff. Everyone in Brides Club is so kind and supportive of each other!”
Jennie also found some of her wonderful vendors via Brides Club, including Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Talia C, who provided the couple’s smash glass and then made the shards into Shabbat candle sticks, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Our Family Chuppah, who provided the couple’s chuppah frame (and carefully affixed the duo’s hand-knitted chuppah canopy), and their fabulous ketubah designer, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Ink with Intent. Jennie and Ben chose Ink with Intent’s custom night sky design, featuring the star map for their wedding date!

An Elegant Black Tie Jewish Wedding on the Water at Wequassett Resort, Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Ok, so Paige and Ross‘s wedding doesn’t technically fit the brief for this post, seeing as it took place in Cape Cod rather than Boston itself. But we couldn’t resist including this fabulous waterfront wedding, which is just so New England.

Cape Cod is not only a totally idyllic spot for dreamy photos, but also a great spot for a “local destination wedding” for New Englanders, a place you can gather your loved ones together for a full-on weekend away from it all without long-haul flights. Which is exactly what Boston couple Paige and Ross did.

During her wedding planning, Paige was a member of Smashing The Glass’s Brides Club, and we love hearing how much she benefitted from not only the support and amazing ideas shared in the community, but also the help finding vendors! Paige and Ross found their ketubah designer, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Melanie Dankowicz, through the group, and they adore both the finished product and the experience they had working with Melanie.
So there you have it! If you’re planning a Boston Jewish wedding of your own, we’d love to hear about it in the comments!
