We could not be any more thrilled to feature the gorgeous Jewish wedding of our beloved Brides Club member Lauren! Lauren, an associate producer at a media organization, and Ben, the director of annual campaigns for a Jewish organization, had a fabulous, colorful Washington, DC, wedding, and we’re obsessed with their modern vibe and jewel-tone color palate.

Speaking of jewel tomes… how stunning is the couple’s blue watercolor ketubah with gold leaf by Israeli-English artist Rachelle Tchiprout of Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor The Delicate Brush?! As always, Rachelle did a beautiful job, and Lauren and Ben are so delighted to hang such a meaningful work of art in their home.

Lauren and Ben were also drawn to Adam Mason Photography for his bright, vibrant style, creativity, and eye for in-the-moment candid shots – and we’re totally obsessed with the results!

We’re super touched by Lauren’s words about her time in Brides Club, too: “From seeking advice, to indulging in the occasional (but necessary) vent session, to celebrating wedding planning milestones, it meant so much to join a community of women who were going through many of the same things that I was. Brides Club gave me a space to talk about all the minutiae that would have bored my fiance and friends to tears. I also found our ketubah and kippah vendors through the Brides Club.”

How we Met

Lauren, the bride: We connected through a dating app called The League, and after a few weeks of messaging, agreed to meet. We first locked eyes at Crimson, a subterranean whiskey bar in Washington, D.C., where we met for a night cap that turned into several. We drank bourbon and talked until closing time. Within a month, we were in love. Two weeks later, Ben turned down a job in Denver—his beloved hometown—to stay in D.C. It was a crazy decision, but the right one. Okay, HOW amazing is today’s chuppah?! Is it dreamy, or is it dreamy? For that matter, today’s entire floral scheme is pretty much #goals. Bay Area couple Alexandra, a manager of product operations, and Alec, a data scientist and product manager, have got seriously impeccable taste when it comes to flowers.

The pair’s whole vision for their day was “sophisticated dreamy garden,” and did they ever execute it to perfection! Even Alexandra’s stunning Reem Acra gown featured 3D floral embroidery. The incredible photos of the day from The De Jaureguis are truly unmissable – and how cool is it that Alexandra and Alec repurposed their chuppah after the ceremony by moving it to the dessert lounge and adding seating underneath?

As a counterpoint to all this floral splendor, we love that the duo chose an elegantly simple ketubah from the amazing Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor The Ketubah – with artist Stephanie’s exquisite hand calligraphy, you don’t need much else.

How we Met

Alexandra, the bride: We met on the dating app Hinge in 2017 in San Francisco. Our initial messages were standard, then I was struck at how communicative we continued to be even before meeting for our first date. We went to dinner and continued the night at a cocktail bar across the street, all the while talking and discovering more about one another. There’s nothing like a good outdoor wedding. And if the chuppah is backdropped by a jawdropping sunset? Even better. So you can see why we’re smitten with the exquisite Massachusetts Jewish wedding of Rita, who works for a real estate technology company, and Daniel, who owns a local fast casual Mexican restaurant called Los Amigos.

The outdoor setting and sunset views were top reasons the pair chose their venue, Granite Links, which they kept light and airy with light décor featuring pastel colors and fresh greenery. The couple’s fabulous wedding planner, Luba Gankin from Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Primavera Dreams, helped make their dream a reality – so much so that their first piece of advice to engaged couples currently in the planning process is to book a planner of your own!

One detail we love is that both Rita and Daniel wanted to surprise the other with fireworks at the end of the night – how special is that, that they both thought of the same special touch to share with the other?! (The fireworks themselves weren’t too shabby either).

A Limor Rosen Bride for an Autumnal Bohemian Jewish Wedding at Aix La Chapelle Farm in Poolesville, Maryland

We can’t get enough of all the glorious personal touches Ally, an enrollment manager for SoCal Food Allergy Institute, and Barry, a commercial real estate agent, threw into their gorgeous Jewish farm wedding in Maryland.   

Incorporating friends and family into the ceremony was a priority for the pair, and we love what they came up with: for starters, Ally’s grandparents were part of the processional, and her grandmas were the “flower women” –  and it was such a hit that some of the groomsmen even took on the role of “flower men” and adorned the aisle with dried flower petals!

Israel is near and dear to Ally and Barry’s hearts – and Ally was able to not only buy her gown from a fabulous Israeli designer, she bought it at the flagship store in Tel Aviv on a work trip to Israel! Limor Rosen herself helped Ally pick out her dress – how special is that?!

The couple also opted to work with mega-talented Israeli ketubah artist and Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Noa Attias to create their exquisite Love Ketubah. Ally and Barry wanted some cohesiveness to all the decor, invitations, and the ketubah, so they worked with Noa to have fonts the same as their wedding invitation on the ketubah!

He came to IU to lead a workshop with some of Ally’s students and the rest was history. Two Gorgeous Brides for a Hometown Same Sex Jewish Wedding at The Terrace on Grand, Kansas City, Missouri, USA

How fabulous is today’s Jewish wedding?! We’re obsessed with everything the gorgeous big day of Hannah, an acute care nurse practitioner, and Elizabeth, a physician in interventional radiology, from the fantastic jewel-toned color scheme to the focus on highlighting their beloved shared hometown of Kansas City.

There are so many fantastic details to ogle over, but make sure you don’t miss the couple’s glorious floral chuppah, perfectly captured by Adri of Black Coffee Photo. We can’t get enough of the jewel-tone florals, or the combination of fresh blooms with dried flowers. And on top of all that, the chuppah structure was built on site by Hannah’s father – and the couple hope to share it with their unmarried siblings for their future weddings! What an incredibly special family heirloom.

We’re also seriously impressed with both brides’ fashion sense. Hannah looked so glam in her sparkly Tara Keely by Lazaro gown, while Elizabeth started off the day in a super cool white bridal jumpsuit by Emily Hart Bridal before switching into a tux from Little Black Tux for the reception!
