A Lee Grebenau Bride for a Timelessly Elegant and Deeply Personal Jewish Wedding at the Rosewood, London, UK

04/06/2026 by Karen Cinnamon Leave a Comment

Eli and Zac, Rosewood, London, UK

Today’s London Jewish wedding is filled with tons of beautiful personal touches, and we are here for it. Bride Eli, a nutritionist and Zac, a lawyer, met while living in Israel – and while they’ve since moved back to the UK, so much of their day was shaped by their time in Tel Aviv (including Eli’s choice to wear Israeli designer Lee Grebenau).

The pair wove in so many elements that felt uniquely them, from modern Hebrew music that, to a hand-designed ketubah crafted by the groom’s father and filled with symbols from the couple’s life together, to fresh fruit layered into the floral design as a nod to both the bride’s work as a nutritionist and the duo’s shared love of food. Catch all the gorgeous details in the wonderful photos from Susie and Harley of Barker Evans and trailer by Denee Motion!

We also love that Eli and Zac opted to work with Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor XS Showband, who, in Eli’s words,

completely exceeded every expectation. The band were nothing short of sensational. From the moment the dancing began, the energy in the room was incredible and it never dipped for a second. The dance floor stayed full all night, exactly as we had hoped, and so many guests have since told us it was one of the best wedding bands and parties they had ever experienced.

We also worked closely with Fran from XS on all the production, including the dance floor, staging and lighting. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, genuinely lovely, hugely helpful and incredibly professional. The entire team made everything feel seamless from start to finish, which meant I felt calm and relaxed knowing it was all in safe hands.

Now over to Eli…

How We Met

Eli, the bride: We met at a wedding in Israel. Zac had moved from London to Tel Aviv a year earlier, and I was just about to make the move myself. What followed was an incredible year living in Israel together before we eventually decided to return to London to be closer to our families.

A Suzanne Neville Bride for a Quintessentially Elegant London Jewish Wedding at the Rosewood London, UK

20/04/2026 by Karen Cinnamon

Natasha and James, Rosewood, London, UK

Natasha and James’ big day embodies everything we love the most about London Jewish weddings. There’s something so iconic about a London hotel venue and Natasha, who works at Sky Sports as an Assistant Producer, and James, a Senior E-Commerce Manager at Universal Music Group, opted to make things official at one of the best, the stunning Rosewood London. The couple loved the way the property embodies “cool and classy,” and it really was the perfect spot for this very special day.

Natasha and James’ wedding planners, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Uptown Events, helped the couple bring their wedding dreams to life, and, in the bride’s words, “made everything so seamless from start to finish.” We’re obsessed with all the gorgeous details that gave this wedding its wow factor, from the epic forest-like chuppah in green and white to Natasha’s bespoke gown by Suzanne Neville and so much more. And naturally we’re obsessed with the candid editorial photography from Rachel Takes Pictures!

Read on for all the rest of the details of this exquisite wedding in Natasha’s own words…

How We Met

Natasha, the bride: James & I never had the “hello, nice to meet you moment”. We had actually known each other since we were little, with James being best friends with my cousin. It was only at University that we were “formally” introduced and the rest was history! We both studied in Leeds, Natasha at the University of Leeds and James at Leeds College of Music, and from the day we met, we instantly clicked… Two days later and we are having our first date, at Old Trafford for Manchester United vs Arsenal (both MASSIVE Arsenal fans)! 8 years later and we are married!

Sisters Doing it for Themselves at a Quirky, Converse-Filled Jewish Wedding at Rosewood London, UK

21/02/2018 by Karen

Jewish Wedding Rosewood London, UK_0004
There is no bond like that between sisters and nothing demonstrates that more readily than Megan and Sam’s Jewish wedding. Yes, today’s real wedding is a bit of an unusual one, as it was submitted (and the report was written by) Dani Tucker, the founder of the amazing Social Kitchen, and sister of bride, Megan.

Dani runs one of editor Karen’s favorite Instagram accounts (which is saying something as Karen is a huge Insta-enthusiast) and there is a very moving story behind it all, paying homage to the sisters’ late mother.

Having met Dani several times, Karen absolutely adores her and we are big fans of her here at Smashing The Glass, and even more so after reading today’s touching write up.

Dani’s sister, Megan (the bride), wasn’t really into the whole wedding thing. She just wanted to be married and have fun at the wedding. So Dani planned the party of a lifetime for her dear sister. What an incredible gift, and what a phenomenal job she did all round. Dani organized every detail, with Megan deciding on her shoes (personalized Converse – we love it), the groom and the first dance. Probably not quite in that order.

Dani describes gorgeous bride Megan as “quirky, independent, strong and yet beautiful” – the wedding she planned completely reflected Megan and her new husband, Sam.

With everyone in Converse, even the rabbi, a sweet bar and a Shwarma goodie bag, this unique big day was planned with so much love and attention to detail, and Dani found so many wonderful ways to honor their mother.

Photography was provided by Chiko Photography and the beautiful film by AT Motion is below.

Let’s hand over to Dani to tell Megan and Sam’s story in the lovely and eloquent writeup below. Tissues at the ready, guys.

How they met

Dani Tucker, the sister of the bride: Megan and Sam met on Jcrush. Her work colleagues set up her profile and swiped for her – set up the date for her – he lived in Manchester, came down for the date and then a few months later, she went on holiday. He picked her up from the airport in London and never went back to Manchester other than to collect his things.

A Ritva Westenius Bride for a Moving Jewish Wedding at Rosewood London

07/02/2018 by Karen

Jewish Wedding Rosewood London UK

All together now – say “aaaaw!” Good. Now you’re all prepared for your reaction to today’s wonderful Jewish real wedding.

Serena and Philip got chatting at a family member’s birthday party and love immediately blossomed. So much so that Serena forgot she had a taxi waiting outside (we did prepare you)!

Their beautiful Jewish wedding was a late Saturday celebration, which meant that friends and family could get the party started after the evening chuppah, while the photos were being taken, so that by the time the couple arrived, everyone was already on their feet.

Bride Serena looked absolutely breathtaking in her Ritva Westenius gown, with material from her mother’s and grandmother’s wedding dresses sewn in. Serena also honored her grandmother by wearing her brooch as a hairpiece. Philip’s late father was remembered through the use of his tallit and his wedding ring.

Three fabulous Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendors helped to bring this beautiful big day together. Florist Mary Jane Vaughan created a stunning floral motif that told a story as the day progressed, the stunning spread of photographs was provided by the one and only Blake Ezra (did you catch him in our Smashing Summit?!) and Chazan Simon Cohen
treated the couple to his divine voice under the chuppah.

In fact, you can watch Simon in action in the wonderful chuppah video below, provided by Matt Camlin.

We’ll leave you in Serena’s good hands for the full story – take it away Serena!

How we met

Serena, the bride: Philip was best friends with my first cousin and even though we had been to parties and weddings together over the years, we had never met (probably because he was married at the time).

It was my cousins 50th birthday party (Philip had been separated for a year) and just I was leaving. As my taxi was outside to take me to another party, Philip came over and said ‘hello’. The rest, you might say, is history.

We stood there talking in a ‘bubble’ till the end of the party, unaware of anyone around us and the taxi sat outside waiting the whole time.

Strangely, my parents met him at Christmas lunch the year before and I my dad left saying he knew Philip and I would be together, which is ridiculous because we had never met.

An Amanda Wakeley Bride for a London-Chic, Rose Gold and Grey Jewish Wedding at Rosewood, London, UK

03/01/2018 by Karen

Jewish Wedding Rosewood London UK_0033
So how are you settling into 2018?! And have you heard the big news about our super exciting ‘Your Wedding Your Way’ online summit on 31st January? It’s going to be EPIC – just like today’s real Jewish wedding that’s breathtakingly beautiful — inside and out.

With a rose-gold and slate grey color scheme, Emma and Liam accented the best features of gorgeous London venue, Rosewood, and complemented the already divine surroundings with fashion-forward geometric shapes.

At just five feet tall, bride Emma had a unique challenge when searching for the perfect wedding dress, but found her saviors in the team at Amanda Wakeley, who worked to create the perfect design for her frame. I think we can all agree that the result was just sensational! Emma added some height with a pair of iconic Valentino rock stud heels – a classic designer wardrobe staple we just ADORE.

We’re also all aquiver for the stunning chuppah, decorated with fresh flowers by Wildabout – what a beauty!

There were so many friends of Smashing The Glass involved in making this day happen, from submitter Aron from Whitepaper Event, who we love, love, LOVE, to THREE incredible Recommended Vendors: The Function Band, who created an out-of-this-world party atmosphere, Food Story and their delicious catering (and thoughtful cold towel idea for the Israeli dancing) and Denee Motion, whose sensitively captured, romantic trailer can be seen below.

A dear friend of the couple, Tom Archer Photography, led a team of photographers capturing every last detail of the day, and Emma and Liam worked together to provide the loving and wonderful writeup below. We’ll leave you in their capable hands now – get ready to fall in love!

How we met

Emma, the bride: We met six years ago, travelling in Australia. We were both looking for flatmates on Gumtree and Liam replied to my advert. As they say, the rest is history!
