A Tuscany-meets-Israel floral Jewish wedding with a Vera Wang bride at Baya’ar, Israel

07/04/2017 by Karen

Israel-Wedding-with-a-Vera-Wang-bride-at-Baya’ar
Friday is finally here – and we’re celebrating the imminent arrival of the weekend in style, with a proper feast for the eyes: Italian couple, Tania and Micael’s, enchantingly floral Tuscany-meets-Israel real wedding.

There’s so much to love about this impeccably designed, dreamy celebration that we’re not sure where to start. First of all, a big round of applause is owed to groom, Micael, for his romantic surprise Paris proposal. We’re even clapping loudly enough to drown out the collective huffy sighs of all the partners for whom the bar has just been spectacularly raised. Well done, Micael!

We’ve featured the absolutely enchanting Israeli venue, Baya’ar, many times on the blog now and with good reason. Every single one has been simply magical, and Tania and Micael’s day was no exception. Every detail, from the breathtaking floral arrangements (including the Chuppah to end all Chuppahs) was simply perfect and captured beautifully by photographer Ilan Mor.

Gorgeous Tania was a picture of fashion-forward bridal style in her show-stopping Vera Wang gown and to-die-for Yves Saint Laurent heels.

The couple did so much to ensure their guests had the time of their lives, including booking our amazing Smashing Supplier, Legend Band, from Caliente, and setting up a flower station, where guests were treated to custom-made flower bracelets and flower crowns! What a brilliant idea!

Don’t forget to watch the incredible work of art created by videographer, Camellia at the foot of the post. We particularly enjoyed the unforgettable shot of Micael smashing the glass – well worth sitting down for a proper watch!

Over to Tania now for the full story on her and Micael’s beautiful nighttime wedding.

How we met

Tania, the bride: I am a fashion buyer and my husband, Micael, is an accountant. We met five years ago and we immediately connected. But after two years, we decided to go our separate ways, until May 2015 when we decided we couldn’t be apart. We started dating again and this time was different. On December 24th at five in the morning, I received a call from Micael telling me that I had to wake up and be ready in 10 minutes.

He covered my eyes and took me to the airport! I didn’t know where we were going until we landed in Paris, where he took to the front of the Eiffel Tower and proposed in the classic way… the rest is history.

A breathtaking beachside Jewish wedding with a Victor Vivi Balaish bride and a performance by Rami Kleinstein at Al Hayam, Caesarea, Israel

31/03/2017 by Karen

Israeli-Wedding-Caesarea
At STG, we’re always up for an epic Israeli wedding, and today’s stunning celebration genuinely looks like it has been stolen straight from Pinterest and magically transformed into reality.

There are a few familiar suppliers. The idyllic venue, Al Hayam, has graced the STG pages twice before, and the photographer is one of our much-loved Smashing Suppliers, Ran Bergman, who we absolutely and unequivocally adore. No wonder the photography is simply outstanding!

The couple, Lior and Re’em, also happened to be closely related to Israeli megastar singer and producer, Rami Kleinstein (yes, the Rami Kleinstein), and he not only led the kabbalat shabbat ceremony (as the wedding fell on a Friday the two ceremonies were combined), but even did a few numbers from his own repertoire. Now, don’t you wish you’d been there?

Not only was the wedding picture perfect (a Chuppah overlooking  the beach followed by a party in Gan Gili – what more could anyone want from an Israeli wedding?) but what a beautiful couple! Let’s just say the cumulative effect of the destination, the gobsmackingly gorgeous bride and groom and the obviously electric atmosphere is extremely easy on the eyes.

Oh, and the wedding had a bar in a pool. We’re not jealous, you’re jealous.

I’ll hand over to beautiful bride, Lior, to tell you all about her and Re’em’s perfect day.

A wedding with two styles

Elki Jacobs designed the wedding in two completely different styles. Lunch and a chuppah in a Mediterranean style in blue and white. For the afterparty they created a cool chic club ambience.. all overlooking the Mediterranean sea.

Create the perfect destination wedding with Tel Aviv dream team – Made in Israel Events

22/02/2017 by Karen

Made-In-Israel-EventsAn occupational highlight of my job (apart from taking over The Savoy) is that I get to meet exciting, new companies starting out on the wedding scene, before most. It’s such a fabulous dream factory of an industry and I love finding the new talent-brimming with fresh ideas. I’ve always been a what’s-the-next-big-thing girl.

Made in Israel Events are the (relatively) new wedding organisers on the Tel Aviv wedding circuit. They’re a breath of fresh air in the form of two friends Lior and Yael.

Made in Israel Events_0002They’re event planners who specialise in producing destination weddings all over Israel. With special consideration to Anglo tastes. They’ll create an amazing big day for you – without you having to worry about language barriers or negotiating with Israeli vendors. And apart from that huge logistical sigh of relief — they also bring style inspiration for a thoroughly modern wedding.

Here at STG we adore Israeli weddings. Aside from its cultural meaning, Israel is a place where the sun shines almost every day of the year; it’s beautiful, exotic, energetic and fun. Perfection.

Yael’s overseas family who came to her own wedding in Israel were head over heels in love with the venue, food and of course the atmosphere. And that’s when it dawned on her that there’s a great interest in destination weddings in Israel. People want to have the ultimate Jewish wedding with an Israeli touch.

Create an epic wedding with Israeli event organiser Danny Marx

25/01/2017 by Karen

Danny-Marx-Events-Weddings
Montana & Justin’s real Israeli wedding, planned by Danny Marx, blogged on Smashing The Glass

Today I am SO excited to feature one of the most impressive wedding planners and producers that I’ve come across — Danny Marx. He’s a born and bred Jerusalemite who specialises in creating destination weddings in Israel AND Israeli-style weddings all over the world.

I’ve got a serious soft spot for Israeli weddings — I just love a chuppah under the stars and an all-night party vibe. Not to mention the boundless amounts of food, colour and absolute JOY. But we can’t all get to Israel for our big day. So if you want the Israeli spirit for your wedding, without the travel, Danny Marx really can bring the party to you.

Whether in Israel or elsewhere, Danny aims to create an unforgettable day, rammed to the rafters with an authentic feel-good vibe. But with a background in film, he also knows what LOOKS GOOD. He’s got an eye for stagecraft and delivers glamour.

A visionary? Yes. But reasonably priced? Totally.

His past clients have called him honest, patient, organized, professional, tactful, charismatic and positive. I myself had the pleasure of meeting Danny a few months ago in London and he was utterly delightful. He was keen to let STG readers know that he organises weddings for ALL BUDGETS. Bear in mind that this is a man who’s created epic events in some of the most exciting venues — including the iconic Tower of David.

How it works

After initial contact, Danny and his partner Alon, will meet you, whether it is in Israel or abroad. This is usually after several phone calls and emails.

The most important thing is your vision – how you’d like your wedding to look and feel. From that point Danny Marx and his team plot a preliminary theme and get going to find the perfect selection of venues, service providers and content suppliers.

The aim is to give total peace of mind throughout and Danny and his team tends to every logistical part of the wedding, especially with very complex, outdoor or unique sites. They are the ultimate safe pair of hands.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

Considering getting married in Israel? Then I’ve found your perfect wedding planners

05/03/2015 by Karen

BE-Group-TLV
Regular readers will know that I have a bit of a penchant for Israeli weddings. I’ve always loved the idea of a chuppah under the stars and the all-night party vibe that Israel does so well, not to mention the abundance of food, and holding  the ceremony and party all in one venue.

As it happens, when it came to organising my own wedding it was vitally important to both Mr STG and I to have his 97 year old grandmother there, and as she was unable to travel, a wedding in Israel  was out of the question for us.

But if we were to have had our wedding in Israel, there’s no doubt that I would have enlisted the help of an Israeli wedding planner to work with me and help me plan it from abroad, and for those of you who find yourselves in the same position, you’re going to thank me for introducing you to BE Group TLV who I want to tell you about today.

Israeli wedding planner
I was first introduced to Lisa and the BE Group TLV team when I delightedly received Ravit and Sam’s gorgeous wedding submission. I then went on to blog their amazing W-Day (that you all loved) and got to hear about how imperative BE Group TLV were to the success of the whole celebration. Here’s what Ravit, the bride had to say:
