A Hindu-Jewish Wedding Weekend To Remember in Stiges, Spain

We love a good wedding weekend – and this is one for the books! Chhaya and Harry, both doctors, live in the UK, but they knew they wanted a destination where their loved ones could get together for some serious quality time around their interfaith “HinJew” wedding – and they found the perfect setting in a seaside town called Stiges, near Barcelona.

The couple’s planner, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Elegante by Michelle J, helped them plan a series of three events over three days, each with its own distinct personality while still feeling part of one cohesive story.

They got things started with a joyful, sun-drenched welcome fiesta/haldi ceremony, which they hosted poolside at the ME Sitges Terramar Hotel, the main wedding hotel where most of the couple’s guests stayed.

Day two was Chhaya and Harry’s Hindu wedding under the mandap at neighboring hotel Sunway Playa Golf & Spa – we’re obsessed with the fun, romantic, pastel-colored vibes, and you absolutely cannot miss Chhaya’s stunning outfit by Aisha Rao. The third and final day was reserved for the duo’s elegant black-tie Jewish ceremony at a gorgeous winery, Caves Codorniu. The woodland-inspired chuppah took place outdoors, and then for the reception everyone moved into the underground caves!

How We Met

Chhaya, the bride: Harry and I are both doctors and we met in 2019. Through the challenges of the pandemic we built our own little bubble – and from that a love story that continues to grow!

We absolutely love seeing the choices Jewish wedding pros make for their own celebrations – and so naturally we were thrilled to be able to feature the luxe nuptials of Courtney, an NYC and FL-based fashion and wardrobe stylist with a focus on bridal styling, and Jason, a real estate broker.

Courtney curated the day impeccably, and every element reflected her taste and creative vision – from the modern, refined surroundings of their venue, the 1 Hotel in South Beach, to the clean, contemporary chuppah, set against the backdrop of the ocean and surrounded by lush white blooms from the ground up for a one-of-a-kind aesthetic – don’t miss it in the wonderful photos by PS Photography and trailer by Senderey.

And then there’s Courtney’s gown, by beloved Israeli designer and Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Galia Lahav. As a longtime admirer of the designer’s artistry, Courtney was positively smitten from the moment she tried on the Horizon gown. In her words,

The craftsmanship was extraordinary—the silhouette, the structure, the detailing—every element felt elevated, sexy yet chic and original. It was everything I had hoped for and more—timeless, striking, and uniquely me. I felt like all layers of my life added onto a dress, from the dramatic drape, sexy sheer detailed bustier, delicate flower detail with pearl and shimmer.

It was such a perfect expression of Courtney’s style, and we just can’t get over how absolutely smashing she looked in it!

How We Met

Courtney, the bride: Jason grew up with my now brother-in-law and was also good friends with my sister. In 2020, the two teamed up to set me and Jason up on a date—and the rest is history. We hit it off immediately, began dating soon after, and in the spring of 2025, we tied the knot at the 1 Hotel in South Beach.

A Vera Wang Bride for an English Countryside Jewish Wedding at Cornwell Manor, The Cotswolds, UK

If you’re dreaming of an English countryside wedding, it doesn’t get any better than this! Shayna, who works in ecommerce, and Marc, a trader at a bank, live in the US, but given that Marc is from London a destination wedding in England was a natural choice.

And who wouldn’t want to make things official in the beautiful Cotswolds – especially at a venue as stunning as Cornwell Manor? A venue this gorgeous doesn’t need much in the way of décor – and indeed, Shayna and Marc picked a color palette of pale blue with hints of lavender and neutrals (and lots of greenery, put to excellent use in the pair’s glorious chuppah) to complement the beauty of the English countryside rather than distracting from it. A Pioneering Modern Orthodox Same Sex Wedding at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York, USA

We are so in love with today’s stunning same sex Jewish wedding! New Yorkers Max, Director of Startup Ecosystem Development at SAP, and Zach, Director of Artist Relations + Partnerships at Great Bowery’s Trunk Archive, crafted a day that perfectly blended Jewish tradition with impeccable contemporary style.

Same sex Orthodox weddings are still in their early years, and we love that Max and Zach – along with their officiant, Rabbi Avram Mlotek – are at the forefront. The pair worked with their rabbi to craft a ceremony that aligned with their values as Modern Orthodox Jews AND as members of the LGBTQ+ community.

While much of the ceremony looked like any traditional Jewish wedding, one difference is that instead of a traditional ketubah, Max and Zach opted to use a Shtar Shutafut, a Halachic Partnership Contract, to formalize their marriage. The couple worked with Rabbi Mlotek on the text. They also exchanged rings under the chuppah, and each smashed a glass.

It’s so heartwarming to see how Max and Zach were able to craft the wedding of their dreams, without having to compromise on any aspect of their identities – and you can really see the joy in each and every shot by photographer David Perlman.

How we Met

Max and Zach, the grooms: We first matched in November 2018 when we were both home visiting our families on Long Island, NY for Thanksgiving. We instantly clicked on our first date in December 2018, which coincided with the second night of Chanukah. We were engaged on March 13, 2022 and the rest is history.Continue Reading

A Monique Lhuillier Bride for a Vogue-Worthy Jewish Wedding at Villa Sola Cabiati, Italy

Get ready to be wowed by the fabulous Jewish wedding of Marta and Nick. We see lots of gorgeous weddings here at Smashing The Glass, but this one truly looks like it could’ve stepped out of the pages of Vogue.

It doesn’t hurt that Marta and Nick chose to wed at Villa Sola Cabiati on Lake Como – one of the world’s most stunning locales – which they picked not only for its beauty and history but also because it was a central spot for gathering their friends and family from all over the world.

With such an incredible venue, it was only natural to let the setting set the theme, and indeed Marta and Nick opted to keep their day timeless and traditional, in shades of ivory with occasional pops of blue. We’re totally and completely obsessed with their wonderful floral chuppah – don’t miss it in the exquisite editorial-style photos from Roman Ivanov.

And then there’s the dress – Marta had visions of Grace Kelly vibes, and that’s exactly what she found in the Emilia gown by Monique Lhuillier Bride. With long sleeves, a high neck, and lace all over, Marta couldn’t have looked more elegant. We’ll turn you over to her for all the rest about the big day…
