A Nicole Milano Bride for a Destination Jewish Wedding By the Sea at Caesar Yam, Caesarea, Israel

31/08/2026 by Karen Cinnamon Leave a Comment

Danielle and Alex, Caesar Yam, Caesarea, Israel

Stunning venue alert! New Yorkers Danielle, an artist and dress designer (she’s launching her first dress brand early next year!) and Alex, who works in marketing, met during a year abroad in Israel, and they wanted to hold their Jewish wedding in the country that meant so much to them.

We love that they found their venue, the gorgeous Caesar Yam right here on Smashing The Glass, and the fell in love with the look, feel, warmth, and beauty of the natural surroundings right on the Mediterranean. The couple’s chuppah – designed by Danielle – took place just before sunset against the backdrop of the ocean, and it was really something special. Don’t miss it in the wonderful photos by Haim Afriat and video by Avichai Wechsler.

Danielle and Alex chose Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Rabbi Naomi Efrat, who is based in Israel, as their officiant, and they couldn’t be more thrilled with their choice. In Danielle’s words, Rabbi Efrat is “the kindest and most wonderful rabbi… She is truly incredible, warm, knowledgeable, an amazing communicator, her English is perfect, and we are so honored to have had her be our rabbi for our magical wedding and Auf Ruf a few days before!!!” It doesn’t get much better than that!

How We Met

Danielle, the bride: In 2013, Alex and I met on a gap year program in Israel, called Young Judaea Year Course, after high school! We started dating while we were living in Jerusalem with only a month left before returning home but even that early on we both knew we were in love! 💕 We complete each other and have been on the most wonderful journey together since! When we returned to the US we both went to college in NYC and have been together ever since!!

A Pronovias Bride for a Destination Jewish Wedding by the Ocean at Caesar Yam, Caesarea, Israel

29/06/2026 by Karen Cinnamon

Diana and Craig, Caesar Yam, Caesarea, Israel

There’s nothing like a Jewish wedding in Israel – and we absolutely love Diana and Craig’s! The American couple knew they wanted a destination wedding by the ocean, and naturally Israel was high on their list.

They found the perfect venue in Caesarea’s Caesar Yam, where they were able to have the most stunning outdoor chuppah at sunset with the Mediterranean as their backdrop – and the fact that they were able to gather their friends and family for not just a few hours but a whole weekend of events to celebrate was an added bonus.

When it came time to choose their photographer, Diana and Craig went for Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Herschel Gutman, who did a fantastic job not only delivering their vision but also organize all their extended family on the day.

We’ll let the bride – who looked absolutely stunning in her dress from Pronovias – fill you in on the rest…

A Martina Liana Bride for a Jewish Wedding at Caesar Yam, Caesarea, Israel

04/11/2024 by Karen Cinnamon

Sydney and Jared, Caesar Yam, Caesarea, Israel

There’s no place like Israel. And Toronto couple Sydney, a teacher at a Hebrew day school, and Jared, who works in banking, knew from the start it was the only place that would do for their Jewish wedding post-October 7.

Caesar Yam in Caesarea, located right off the beach, was the most magnificent spot for the festivities – and it doesn’t hurt that Israel is the place where the pair started dating! With the most gorgeous floral chuppah, dreamy ocean views, and a beautiful ketubah from Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor ketubah.com gifted by the groom’s parents, this was one incredibly special day.

Sydney and Jared chose Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Herschel Gutman to photograph their big day, and they couldn’t be any more thrilled with their decision. In Sydney’s words,

Herschel is one of the warmest and most fun photographers to work with. We felt we could completely be ourselves and just go with anything he was telling us to do. He got our vision quickly and just knew what to do without having to say. What was also so nice and our guests really appreciated was the fact that they captured us but also everyone at the wedding. He captured our wedding perfectly, we wish he lived in Toronto so we could have him at future events!

A Beachy Boho Jewish Wedding on the Mediterranean at Caesar Yam, Israel

08/03/2024 by Karen Cinnamon

Ophira-and-Jacob-Caesar-Yam-Israel

There’s something so special about getting married in Israel – and not just because of the sunny climate and stellar views. Cleveland couple Ophira, a therapist, and Jacob, a market research consultant decided to hold their Jewish wedding at Caesar Yam in honor of the couple’s strong collection to Israel, where Ophira grew up.

The whole day was a celebration of the couple’s blended American and Israeli roots, and the importance of Israel in their lives – how cool is it that Ophira and Jacob wrote their vows in both English and Hebrew?

We also love that Ophira wore her mom’s wedding dress from the ‘80s – and started a new tradition of family heirlooms too, with her multi-talented mom handcrafting her tiara and earrings!

The couple’s photographer, Yafit, and videographer, Dana of Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Colorfool, captured this joyous day so exquisitely. In Ophira’s words,

They worked really well as a team. We decided to work with them because they are each artistic in her own way, and we knew they would capture the genuine and intimate moments of our wedding.

And we can’t hand you over to Ophira without sharing her words of wisdom to newly engaged couples: “Consider getting married in Israel–it’s way more chill than the States, and more affordable.” Ok, now over to the bride…

Ophira, the bride and Jacob, the groom: We met through an online dating app–we both got struck by Cupid’s arrow and said “Ok!”. Our first date was at a local coffee shop, and we really hit it off.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Mirror Mirror Bride for an Ultra-Romantic Jewish Wedding on the Beach at Caesar Yam, Caesarea, Israel

19/09/2022 by Karen Cinnamon

Leanna-Mottie-Caesar-Yam-Israel

Get ready to be blown away by today’s Jewish wedding – absolutely everything about Leanne and Mottie’s big day is pure #weddinggoals, from their incredible venue RIGHT on the beach in Israel (don’t miss their chuppah!) to the ultra-romantic photos by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Ori Carmi Photography to Leanne’s exquisite gown found at Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Mirror Mirror in London – bridal style doesn’t get any more classically elegant than this!

Leanne and Motttie were initially supposed to marry in summer 2020 – and while they didn’t end up making things official until 2022 thanks to the pandemic, we’re pretty sure you’ll agree that the finished product was more than worth the wait. So was Leanne’s beautiful Mirror Mirror gown in London – she fell in love with the dress at first sight just after getting engaged back in 2020, and two years later she adored it just as much!

And we haven’t even gotten into the sheer perfection that is Ori Carmi Photography! His photos are the perfect blend of authentic emotion and good old wedding day glitz – and of course he did a fab job capturing the breathtaking setting too. Leanne and Mottie can’t stop raving about their photos – and neither would we!

We’ll let the couple take it from here…

How we Met

Mottie, the groom: We met on Instagram! Leanne was a bridesmaid at a wedding of a mutual friend and when I saw a picture of them, I asked my friend who Leanne was as I thought she was gorgeous. I sent her a message and that was that. We made Aliya together in 2020 and both work in HiTech now, Leanne in finance and myself in sales.Continue ReadingContinue Reading
