Since we had a lot of guests joining us from Israel (lots of Dave’s family and friends are Israeli), we wanted to strongly represent this in our wedding music choices. This heavily influenced our choice of chazan and band, who were Guy Barzilay and XS Showband. We wanted a standout ‘big band’ style showband who could cater for all of our varying tastes and XS were perfect.
Not only did the band manager Fran massively support us in the run up to the wedding too by creating our day of plan and processional order, they also provided an amazing lady to run the event and we owe so much thanks to them for the smooth running of the day.
We requested two long party simcha sets with a mixture of Mizrahi and Israeli music – the energy was so much fun and everyone was on the dance floor. I had quite a big non-Jewish contingent at the wedding and they commented on how it was the most fun they’d ever had at a wedding.”
Music was one of the most important elements for us so was the first thing we booked after our venue. We booked XS Showband who were absolutely incredible. They provided all the music and entertainment throughout the day: we had a female singer for the chuppah with keys and saxophone, a saxophonist playing during the drinks reception, the music throughout the meal and evening, and, of course, the flash mob just before the ceremony started.
They were an absolute dream to work with and helped create a day to remember. So many of our guests commented on how amazing they were and a few have since asked us for their details.”
We had the wonderful XS Showband who made our day so special. We had them during our ceremony and they set the scene for the rest of the day. We could not have asked for more, they supported us throughout all stages of our planning and even helped us to sort the timetable of the day… And most importantly they are an amazing band! We wanted as much dancing as possible throughout the day and they delivered big time. We had so many compliments about our entertainment and know a few of our friends have now also booked them for their wedding! We can’t recommend them enough.”

We had an 11 piece band. There was dancing the entire day and night. They were just incredible beyond words. The atmosphere was amazing, the musicians were beyond belief and the singing was out of this world. People were still dancing when they were leaving and didn’t want the band to ever end. I have had so many compliments on how amazing the band was, and they really were. I couldn’t recommend them enough, they really took our day to another level.”
