THREE FACTS: (1) Rebekkah and Jakob were introduced by mutual friends while Jakob, who is from Germany, was in Rebekkah’s hometown of Calgary on a specialized work visa. (2) They are getting married at a beautiful mountain resort in a national park in Alberta, Canada! (3) Rebekkah is a “very satisfied member” (her words) of Smashing The Glass’s Brides Club!

82 days and counting to my big day, I’m just plotzing!
Wedding planning up to this point… beseder, so my last blog post left me sorting out my wedding program. Thank goodness my future mother-in-law owns a graphics and printing company so she volunteered to translate our wedding program and print it for us. So now I am trying to decide if I should put a little time frame of the day on the program. Just so it will be like painfully obvious the time flow of the evening, so people aren’t wandering around confused.

Silk flowers and balloons
I spent a pretty penny on silk chuppah flowers the other day. I dropped like $1100 which is more then I intended but they were so pretty, and I can keep them forever.
Speaking of extra decoration expenses thanks to the amazing super inspiring content on the Smashing the Glass Instagram, I am now obsessed with glam party balloons. Like obsessed and I am beyond stoked! The balloons are that exact little bit of dazzle that my reception room needed, I can’t hardly wait to see all my decorations put together!

RSVP headache
I am practising patience as the last of our RSVPs trickle back, it’s amazing how difficult it is for some people to follow RSVP instructions *insert eye roll*. Our wedding started at 150 guests, but now we are sitting at about 122 people total. I am happy that it will be less people and more of an intimate affair.
It is so odd there are some guest that I was shocked even a little sad that they will not be attending, then there are other people that when they said they couldn’t make it I was relieved, ha-ha. I think subconsciously the idea of a smaller wedding has more appeal, feels less overwhelming and bonus more left-over cake for me and Jake.

Back to Israel for my dress
In May I’ll be back in Israel to pick up my dress and I can not wait! I haven’t seen my veil yet and I am itching to try my dress on again. I still must get my mother a dress so while we are in Tel Aviv I will see if I can find her something awesome. I want to try and get a lot of my wedding planning sorted out before we leave so I can relax and enjoy beautiful Israel.
I have makeup artists, hairdressers and all other beauty related things sorted.

On My To-Do List…
I still want to order an adorable tuxedo collar thingy for our dog to wear, and a flower crown for my flower girl. I’ll probably end up grabbing them off Etsy, that dang site is awesome! I got my bridesmaid gifts and my flower girl tulle skirt off Etsy and I have been super satisfied with all of it!
My main thing now is trying to decide if I should order some cutesy getting ready outfits for me and the girls. I feel like although the pajamas and robes are adorable, they are a bit over done. I am wrestling with not wanting to miss the opportunity for an adorable matchy matchy picture with all my bestie bridesmaids, and not knowing what sort of getting ready outfit really appeals to me.

Next week I am meeting with my jewelry designer friend who is going to design my wedding bands and Jakob’s ring. (My fav part of this entire wedding process so far is all the diamond talk, ha-ha). Also, next week I’ll be taking the fiance in to get him and a few groomsmen suits. Then the following week we are doing our menu tasting. Which is the other underrated fun part of wedding planning all the food and dessert tasting.
So besides needing to get my tuchis literally into shape and getting my cardio on, I am feeling pretty on track thus far in my wedding planning. With a big thanks and shout out to my BFF/SIL/MOH Willow (who will definitely read this).
Lastly thanks again to Karen and the STG team for all your help and invaluable content. As well to the other blogging brides and Brides Club members for all your advice!
2 months 20 days 18 hours to go, eekkkk!!!
