ABOUT JOCELYN

Where are you from? New Jersey
What do you do for a living? Customer Success Manager for a Healthcare Data Platform
How did you meet your partner?Hinge
When did you first know you were in love? November 2018, about 7 months after we first started dating. I wrote about every single one of our dates when we started dating and when I go back to these entries my writing changes to how I felt that we were both in love with each other even though we hadn’t said it yet. It all was about the power of feeling it at the time that makes it impossible to pinpoint an exact moment aside from thinking back to that feeling (and reading about it from my writing!)

ABOUT YOUR WEDDING

When and where did you get married? September 5, 2021 in Rockleigh, NJ
What was your wedding song for walking down the aisle? ‘Lover Lay Down’ by Dave Matthews Bad, we even sang it to each other while I walked down the aisle which was not planned
How many guests did you invite to your wedding? 180
What was your favorite part of/thing about your wedding day?Our first dance
Best wedding planning tip? Try not to let other people’s opinions pull you away from what you really want, make decisions that are authentic and meaningful to you and your partner.
Wedding vendors you would recommend? ALL of mine! Jude Jowilson (custom wedding dress), WildflowersNJ (florist), Ramonda Marku (hair & makeup), The Delicate Brush (custom Ketubah), ein Photography

Where did you go on honeymoon? We went on a Minimoon to Bermuda immediately following our wedding, and a few months later traveled to Dubai and Maldives for our actual Honeymoon
What does marriage mean to you? Marriage means true companionship to me, this relationship is what I consider to be the closest one I will experience aside from my relationship with myself. It is a partnership in which both individuals have committed to building a life together.
Secret to a happy relationship? Communication!
