This beautiful Jewish wedding is ALL about the love. Okay, and maybe a little bit about that fab ocean view, too.
We adore how brides Avital and Gili kept the focus of their day on what mattered to them. They kept their wedding super intimate — for instance, their rule in deciding who to invite? Only people they really truly love. Aww!
The pair also designed an ultra-personal modern ceremony, with original vows and blessings from family, officiated by one of their best friends.
One other thing we’re all over? The custom jewelry the brides created together to wear on the day (earrings for both brides, plus a necklace for Avital). What wonderful souvenirs, and maybe even future family heirlooms!
Photographer Natalie Schor and videographer Igor from Viditeo did such a fantastic job of capturing all the emotion of the day — you can really see the love between these two in the gorgeous photos and video.
We’ll let the brides take it from here…
A Wedding by the Beach
Avital and Gili, the brides: We got married in Beit Andromeda, Jaffa. We chose it because it is next to the beach, with amazing food, great atmosphere, small and intimate vibe, and great staff.
An Intimate Wedding
We invited only the people that we really love. The person who hosted the ceremony was one of our best friends. And it was important for us to write our own vows to each other.
Invitations Designed by the Brides
We designed our invitations ourselves, to our taste.
Hair + Makeup
Mor Jivilik was our makeup artist, who made us feel so comfortable and natural. Dana Braids did our hair – it was importnat for us to look as natural as possible, and she did a great job.
An Edie Bride
Gili bought her outfit from young and talented Tel Aviv-based designers Edie. Gili never wears dresses, and it was important for her to choose something that she felt comfortable in, so she chose a top and a skirt.
Custom Jewelry
We had “tailor made” jewelry that we created together with the jewelry designer, Hydra. Both of us had earrings, and Avital also had a necklace.
A Modern Ceremony
Obviously, we didn’t have a traditional religious ceremony. One of our best friends officiated the ceremony, we read our vows to each other, and our family members also blessed us with touching words.
From this Moment
Our DJ was one of a kind – she helped us pick great music and adjust it to our audience. We started our ceremony with “A Thousands Years” by Christina Perry and finished the ceremony with the old Israeli song “Love Is a Song for Two” by Ilanit. We also had a slow dance after the ceremony with the song “From this Moment” by Shania Twain.
Our fabulous Photographer…
We received recommendations of several photographer, and when we met Natalie Schor it was love at first sight. She knew exactly how to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera, and caught the best moments of our celebration.
…And Videographer
Igor was our videographer and he was great – the film speaks for itself…
A Fab DJ
Our great DJ brought her drums system and made sure everyone was out on the dance floor.
A Honeymoon in Italy
We had an amazing two weeks in Italy. We drove from Napoli to Garda Lake with many stops along the way, saw amazing views, ate amazing food, and, above all, enjoyed the quiet and the happiness of just being together.
