A Stella York Bride for a Dog-Friendly Jewish Wedding at Five Crowns, Corona Del Mar, California, USA

26/07/2021 by Karen Cinnamon

Rachel-and-Aaron-Five-Crowns-in-Corona-Del-Mar-CA

Rachel, a program manager, and Aaron, a software engineer, had a very special guest of honor at their Jewish wedding: their dog, Ryder!

Not only did this much-loved Mini Goldendoodle serve as the couple’s ring bearer, he sat in Aaron’s lap during speeches and joined the pair for their first dance. Rachel and Aaron even added special touches celebrating their best canine pal, like cocktail napkins featuring his likeness, dog-shaped cookies, and their signature cocktail, the Ryder Old Fashioned! We love how Rachel and Aaron figured out what was important to them early on in their wedding planning and made it happen.

Another thing we love? The duo’s sweet forget-me-not ketubah print with gold foiling detail by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor The Delicate Brush. It’s such a lovely piece of artwork, and the perfect fit for the SoCal-meets-England vibe these two had going on.

We’re also obsessed with the way Rachel and Aaron used the venue’s pergola as a base for their dreamy floral chuppah – which was transformed into the most swoonworthy sweetheart table for the reception!

Now over to Rachel, who looked radiant in Stella York…

How We Met

Rachel, the bride: Aaron and I met while studying at Chapman University in 2014. I transferred in as a sophomore and met him when he was tabling for Hillel during the student club fair. I was instantly drawn to Aaron and when we started talking, we realized we both grew up in LA and had many mutual friends. We began officially dating in October 2014 and have been inseparable ever since.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Stella York Bride for a Classic Country House Jewish Wedding at Hedsor House, Taplow, UK

28/05/2021 by Karen Cinnamon

Kim and Josh, Hedsor House, UK

There’s nothing quite like a good English countryside Jewish wedding. And Kim, a secondary school maths teacher, and Josh, a quality manager, threw the absolute perfect bash at Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Hedsor House, which, despite being located conveniently just outside London, feels like it’s worlds away.

Family-run stately home Hedsor House ticked all the couple’s boxes: classic feel; exclusive hire for 150 people; rooms for the bridal party to sleep in, and ability to bring in a great kosher caterer. And if you scroll through the gorgeous images from Richard Galloway Photography, you’ll see that Hedsor could not have been a more perfect spot for Kim and Josh’s special day.

We’re in love with the couple’s exquisite lace effect chuppah (to match Kim’s lace gown!), supplied by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor The Happy Chuppah People, which has held up by Josh’s ushers during the ceremony.

We’re also totally taken with the couple’s Jenga “guest book,” a custom Jenga tower with Kim and Josh’s names and wedding date engraved into each block, which guests could then write messages on. The pair plans to bring it out for a game every year on their anniversary – how sweet is that?!

Now over to the bride, who looked stellar in Stella York…

A Stella York Bride for a Jewish Shift Wedding at the Inn at the Forks, Winnipeg, Canada

05/03/2021 by Karen Cinnamon

Just two weeks before their wedding day, Faye-Rae and Aaron had to completely rethink their plans when their city’s COVID restrictions limited gatherings to just ten people. Despite having to change venues and reorganize the whole day on very short notice, in the end their Jewish wedding turned out to be nothing short of fabulous.

In order to include as many people in their celebration as possible, the couple opted for a shift wedding, where separate groups of guests attended for a couple of hours at a time. Since the cap on how many guests could be present at one time was so low, Faye-Rae and Aaron had two ceremonies – one for the bride’s family and one for the groom’s – and three mini cocktail hours, rotating family and friends throughout the day. This way, they were able to include more of their loved ones while sticking to the local regulations – and for those who couldn’t participate in person, the duo livestreamed their ceremony.

We’re in love with Black and Gold Photography’s luminous images of the day – not to mention the couple’s beautiful tree of life ketubah by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Nava Shoham!

Now over to the bride, who looked so elegant in Stella York…
