Say I Choo: Explore Jimmy Choo’s Bridal Collection & Made To Order Service

16/11/2021 by Karen Cinnamon

When it comes to luxury bridal footwear, one name never fails to come in top of mind: Jimmy Choo. So many of our beautiful Jewish and Jew-ish brides, of all styles, opt to say I do in Choo – whether you’re looking for classic or quirky, showstopping or understated, Jimmy Choo’s got something to suit every taste.

And now, with Jimmy Choo’s Made To Order service, you can truly partner with the iconic brand in creating your wedding shoes (or bag, or sparkly sneakers to change into for dancing), your way! It’s easy and fun to select your style, fabric, color, and other finishing touches – there’s even an option to add a monogram or date plaque commemorating your big day!

A Choo for Every Foot

Whether you go for a towering heel encrusted with sapphire crystals, or a dainty flat in luxe blush kid leather, the sky’s the limit when it comes to Made To Order shoes. Though when you think Jimmy Choo, you might initially think of a sky-high heel, the reality is they’ve got so much more – whether you’re looking for a chic low heel or an elegant flat, there are so many gorgeous options. Some of Jimmy Choo’s most popular styles, including Sacora and Max, are now available as part of the line’s Made To Order journey.

To Have and to Hold

Complete your bridal look with a classic clutch or satin or crystal-embellished Bon Bon bucket bag. Jimmy Choo’s bridal handbag collection is rapidly expanding, and they’ve got some truly divine options to choose from, for tastes running from dainty to statement. The popular Bon Bon bag is now available in the mini size as well – perfect for just those few wedding day essentials!

Keepsakes to Cherish

And, unlike your wedding dress, your wedding shoes and bag are pieces you can enjoy long after the big day – whichever style you choose, you’ll be able to work it into your long-term wardrobe for daily dressing or special occasion glitz. What a special way to keep those beautiful wedding memories alive!

The Process

It couldn’t be simpler to create your perfect match in a Made To Order style. Just click through a menu of styles, then choose details like fabric, color, and other embellishments – it’s always simple and never confusing, and in mere minutes the shoes or bag of your wildest dreams can become a reality! From the date a Made To Order style is finalized, delivery is estimated to be 10 weeks, so do plan accordingly.

A Valentini Spose Bride for a Candlelit Winter Jewish Micro Wedding at the Kimpton Fitzroy London, London, UK

17/05/2021 by Karen Cinnamon

We are so in love with the gorgeous Jewish micro wedding of Danielle and Rob at one of our very favorite London wedding venues: Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Kimpton Fitzroy London in Russell Square!

Won over by not only the venue itself but also the fantastic team, Danielle and Rob had initially planned a 180-person wedding in the Kimpton’s stunning ballroom followed by a reception in the Mediterranean-esque Palm Court, scheduled for August 2020. Thanks to the pandemic, though, they ended up shifting their date to December and their guest count down to 30 and then just 15. But in spite of all the roadblocks COVID put in the couple’s way, they still ended up with the wedding of their dreams. In Danielle’s words, “Everything about our wedding wasn’t what we originally imagined, but we wouldn’t change it for the world.”

Danielle and Rob’s photos by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Mike Garrard are nothing short of magical. And in addition to taking some seriously great pictures, Mike also teamed up with the couple’s friends to pull off a fantastic surprise.

Since the 15-person limit meant the pair had to limit their guest list to family only, some of their friends got in touch with Mike and made a plan to surprise Danielle and Rob on the steps of the Kimpton, just after their ceremony. The couple thought they were stepping out for some couple shots, but instead they were blown away to see their friends standing outside to cheer them on! What an incredibly special moment.

There’s so much more we could say, but we’ll turn you over to Danielle, who looked exquisite in Valentini Spose…

PS Have we told you how much we love Kimpton Fitzroy London? OBSESSED!

How we Met

Danielle, the bride: When I moved to London for work, I was looking for a flat share with a bedroom that wasn’t the size of a shoe box … Rob was renting his second bedroom out in his flat on a Jewish flat share website. I went to see the flat and Rob was so relaxed and easy to get on with it felt like a no brainer. We were friends & flat mates for years before one rainy evening we went for dinner after work and the rest, as they say, is history!Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Winnie Couture Bride for a Boho Chic Jewish Wedding on the Beach at Mahayana Tulum, Tulum, Mexico

10/05/2021 by Karen Cinnamon

Amber-and-Elliot-Mahayana-Tulum-Beach-Mexico

How gorgeous is the beachy boho Jewish wedding of California couple Amber, who works for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and Elliot, the owner of Golden State Corals?! This travel-loving pair opted for a destination wedding weekend in Tulum.

Amber had always dreamed of an intimate, laid-back celebration with the couple’s nearest and dearest – and fortunately, she was able to make that dream come true despite getting married during the pandemic. The couple’s fantastic planner, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Lucy Gallagher, helped them bring it all together – which is no easy feat when planning from abroad in the best of times, let alone during COVID.

We love the relaxed California vibes of the day, and Moni Adri Photography’s wonderful pics make us feel as if we were right there with Amber and Elliot.

Now over to the bride, who looked stunning in her custom Winnie Couture gown…

How we Met

Amber, the bride: I’m from New Jersey and Elliot is from Maryland.  We moved to California separately, around the same time.  We both adopted German Shepherds, his a female and mine a male, around the same time.  We met at the dog park.  Our dogs became obsessed with each other first. We got engaged on the Amalfi Coast in September 2019.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Rime Arodaky Bride for a Backyard Jewish Micro Wedding in Connecticut, USA

25/01/2021 by Karen Cinnamon

We are absolutely in love with the beautiful backyard Jewish wedding of NYC couple Alexis, a physician, and Marc, a lawyer! Alexis’s work as a front-line provider during the peak of the pandemic in New York made the pair realize it was time to seize the day and seal the deal.

Since Alexis and Marc didn’t want to wait long before making it official, a backyard wedding at the bride’s parents’ home made perfect sense. The couple didn’t have much time to spend planning, so they sought out micro wedding expert Susie Blumenfeld of Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Pink House Productions to plan the rustic celebration of their dreams. And are we ever obsessed with the outcome – the perfect intimate romantic day, strewn with white blooms and greenery (including the most beautiful birch chuppah). Don’t miss the gorgeous photos from Dreamscapes Studio – or the stunning ketubah from Our ketubah was from Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Ketubah.com.

We also love that in shopping for the perfect dress for her casual outdoor day – something she had to do all online, since bridal stores were closed due to the pandemic – Alexis sought out French designers whose lines included civil ceremony dresses. And did she ever find her match in the most exquisite Rime Arodaky!

We’ll let her take it from here…

How we Met

Alexis, the bride: We both work very busy and opposite schedules and somehow were lucky enough to cross paths on the app Hinge in January 2019.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Svetlana Bridal Bride for a Modern Winter Jewish Wedding at Glen Island Harbor Club, New Rochelle, New York, USA

19/10/2020 by Karen Cinnamon

Samantha-Eugene-Glen-Island-Harbor-Club-New-Rochelle

Okay, HOW gorgeous is this purple floral chuppah?! And to think that Smashing The Glass Brides Club member Samantha, a lawyer, and Eugene, an investment banker, only ended up with it as their plan B after the bride’s grandmother objected to their first choice of a lucite canopy! Sometimes grandma really does know best…

Not to say that we don’t love us some lucite! And we’ve got that in common with this modern design-loving couple, who took cues from their apartment décor to combine their contemporary vibes with bright colors they knew would bring cheer to their winter wedding. Don’t miss the joyous pics from Jovon Photography.

We’re obsessed with their beautiful gold-trimmed ketubah by Stephanie Caplan of Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor The Ketubah, who Samantha and Eugene found right here on STG, and we love all the special touches these two added to make their day unforgettable, from hashtag stirrers in their signature drinks to a glitter canon on the dance floor to a caviar station. There were even banana pudding cups as favors at the end of the night, in honor of Samantha’s trademark dessert.

We’ll let the bride – who looked stunning in her custom gown from Svetlana Bridal – fill you in on the rest…

Keeping It Close to Home

Samantha, the bride: Our venue was Glen Island Harbor Club, New Rochelle NY. I grew up 10 minutes down the road, my Bat Mitzvah was right next door (at the New York Athletic Club) so it seemed like a good spot. My husband jokes that we live in “Westchester South” a/k/a the Upper East Side of NYC so we played off of this.
