You know what doesn’t get enough love? Winter weddings, that’s what. Sure, you don’t get the long daylight hours, and you might find your selection of flowers a tad more limited. But there’s something just so magical and cozy about holding your Jewish (or Jew-ish) wedding in this under appreciated season.
That’s why we’re so delighted that master wedding planner and Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Michelle Jacobs of Elegante by Michelle J decided to spearhead a gorgeous Jewish wedding-themed shoot that’s basically an ode to the winter wedding.
Set at #STGvendor Four Seasons Hampshire, a gorgeous luxe countryside venue that’s not far from London but feels a world away, the shoot brought together a fantastic team of wedding professionals, including some other beloved #STGvendors like stationer Bigday Designs, makeup artist Philippa Louise, bridal boutique Mirror Mirror London, and Judaica purveyor Contemporary Judaica!
Being a classic country venue, Four Seasons Hampshire‘s obviously got beautiful gardens and grounds (how magnificent is the Walled Garden?!) – and Paulo Santo Photography took full advantage of that fact in capturing some sublime couples’ shots like the one above.
But Michelle and her team really wanted to showcase the venue’s incredible indoor event spaces – and just how memorably they can be dressed up for a totally unique Jewish wedding. (If you want to see what Four Seasons Hampshire looks like for a summer wedding, check out the incredible Jewish wedding of Jessica and Philip that we featured a couple years back!)
Featuring jewel tones and luxe textures, this shoot is 100% pure winter magnificence.
And as if we couldn’t love this shoot any more, Michelle even worked in one of our very own smash glass pouches – doesn’t get much better than that!
How exquisite is this luxe invitation suite – featuring a faux suede backing, bespoke laser cut wrap, and gold foiling – from #STGvendor Bigday Designs?
The bridal stylings by #STGvendor Mirror Mirror London were, as always, #goals and then some. How epic does model bride Daisy look in Pronovias’s Farrah gown?!
MonAnnie baked up the most spectacular tiered wedding cake, working with the palette of deep wintry jewel tones.
And #STGvendor Contemporary Judaica supplied the most beautiful Judaica pieces for the shoot – including the groom’s lovely tallit!
Obsessed with this incredible trailer by Confetti & Silk Films!
Loving these dark, moody florals by Arcade Flowers!
And now for the piece de resistance: the balloon chuppah! Michelle’s a firm believer that every wedding should include an element of surprise: that special standout touch that makes a wedding truly uniquee and memorable. For this shoot, Michelle teamed up with balloon architect Balloonista and florist Arcade Flowers to craft an absolutely out-of-this-world chuppah, combining both balloons and flowers for a totally one-of-a-kind result.
For the tables, Michelle opted to continue the delightfully unexpected blend of florals and balloons.
Did you know that Balloonista uses only biodegradable balloons? (And not only that, the team repurposed the majority of the balloons used in this shoot!)
We’re loving how Michelle managed to come up with a decor scheme that’s at once out-of-the-box and also totally classic!
We’re also loving the use of candles – so atmospheric for a winter wedding!
How lovely does our bride look in the Donna gown by Nicole Milano, which she donned for the outdoor portrait shots?!
And there’s nothing like the chic simplicity of Mirror Mirror Couture’s Lucy gown! This is such a timeless style, and so perfect for the modest bride.
So there you have it! We hope you loved this stunner of a shoot as much as we did.
