ABOUT SAMANTHA

Where are you from? Washington, D.C.
What do you do for a living? Communications Manager
How did you meet your partner?J-Swipe
When did you first know you were in love? When he noticed I was freezing at Disney World and pulled me into an over-priced gift shop to buy a sweatshirt. It showed me that he really was paying attention to me, and really cared!

ABOUT YOUR WEDDING

When and where did you get married? October 9, 2021 in Nags Head, North Carolina
What was your wedding song for walking down the aisle? ‘A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes’ (all the songs during the processional were Disney themed because Brian used to work at Disney)
How many guests did you invite to your wedding? 150
What was your favorite part of/thing about your wedding day? Seeing all of our family and friends together. Many we had not seen since before the pandemic began!
Best wedding planning tip? Get a joint email account right away! Its the best way for you both to know what’s happening and stay on the same page
Wedding vendors you would recommend? Event Savvy OBX (our wedding planner), Sugar Snap Florals & Design, Rich Riggins Photography, Infinite Video Productions, Knotty Tie (custom ties).
Where did you go on honeymoon? We did a mini-moon in Paris right after the wedding. We are hoping to take a longer, more elaborate trip to Asia when the pandemic is in a better place.
What does marriage mean to you? Sharing your life, completely, with someone — through good times and bad.
Secret to a happy relationship? Open communication and seeing the best in your partner
