Jewish Newlywed Spotlight: Hannah Kuklenski

16/12/2021 by Karen Cinnamon

Hannah was a member of our Brides Club for Jewish and Jew-ish brides.

Inside Brides Club, I personally help you to minimize wedstress and overwhelm, and maximize your wedding budget. Oh – and every Brides Club member gets a free smash glass pouch (designed by me) for under the chuppah posted out to them too. Mazal Tov!

Come and join Brides Club too – for advice, discounts, community, sisterhood… and your sanity!

ABOUT HANNAH

Where are you from? Kansas City, MO
What do you do for a living? Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Hannah) and physician in Interventional Radiology (Elizabeth)
How did you meet your partner? We met working in the same unit at the hospital. At the time, I was a nurse and Elizabeth was a medical student.
When did you first know you were in love? I first knew I was in love when I never wanted each date to end. I wanted our days together to go on forever.

ABOUT YOUR WEDDING

When and where did you get married? October 16th, 2021 in Kansas City, Missouri
What was your wedding song for walking down the aisle? ‘Stand By Me’ by Andrew Allen (Ben E. King cover)
How many guests did you invite to your wedding? 135
What was your favorite part of/thing about your wedding day?Hannah: I loved the little moments during the day when I was able to pause and look around at all our loved ones enjoying their time together and celebrating the two of us. I’ll cherish those memories forever. Elizabeth: I’ll forever remember the feeling of walking down the aisle with our eyes locked together.
Best wedding planning tip? A wedding planner is so worth it. She thought of things we never would have and coordinated so much around our hectic work schedules. Also, remember to find joy in the stressful parts. It will absolutely be the best day of your life so try to enjoy every part of the planning process as well.

Wedding vendors you would recommend? Weddings by Hannah (wedding coordinator), The Cottage Rose (florals), Fernando Productions (DJ, lighting, Photo Booth ), Dolce Bakery (cake, desserts), The Terrace on Grand (venue), Black Coffee Photo (photography), The Classic Cup (dinner venue), Ultrapom (rentals), The Philgreens (videographer)
Where did you go on honeymoon? Paris, France
What does marriage mean to you? We believe marriage means choosing your best friend to love and experience life through all of its’ circumstances. Waking up every day for the rest of your life and choosing “us.”
Secret to a happy relationship? Always be a team together in whatever life throws at you, and wake up every day and choose the person you married. Marriage isn’t supposed to be easy all the time but you should always choose your partner.

ABOUT YOUR JEWISH LIFE

Fave meal to eat together on Friday night? One that we both don’t have to cook!
Fave Jewish festival Passover – it’s a holiday where we always get together with family and friends and retell stories about our history, especially to those who may not know it. For us, it’s a special time to be with those we love.
Fave piece of Judaica in your home Our new mezuzah that’s filled with pieces of the glass we smashed at our wedding!
Fave Jewish food Bagels, lox and schmear!
Fave Jewish tradition I love the dancing. Whether it’s Simchat Torah, Kabblat Shabbat, or at a wedding, Jewish joy is just the best.

What did you love most about being a BRIDES CLUB member?
