What do you do for a living? Librarian / Archivist
How did you meet your partner? We met on OkCupid
Where did you go on your first date? We took a walk around the West Village which I showed up several hours late for.
When did you first know you were in love? On our second date after our disatarous first date we took a walk on the highline after an art fair opening gala and everything felt so perfect.
How long had you been dating when you became engaged? 3.5 years
What date are you getting married and where? 5/29/2022 in Ostuni, Italy

ABOUT YOUR WEDDING

Tell us about your wedding plans: We would like to have a wedding that plays into the beauty of our event space/villa for the week, La Corte Dei Messapi in Puglia, Italy. Our ceremony will have many traditional Jewish elements but with a modern twist. We imagine our wedding going late into the night filled with dancing, drinking, eating and most importantly joy. We want our guests to leave our wedding feeling as though they know us better as a couple.
What’s the most important part of your wedding day? That at the end of the day I will be spending the rest of my life with the person I love.
Fave Jewish wedding tradition? Getting married under the Chupah
What does marriage mean to you? Marriage represents us solidifying our commitments to love, care, and support eachother publicly that we have been making since early in our relationship.
Best wedding planning tip (so far!): Roll with the punches. Who would have guessed Covid could happen?!
Sum up your wedding style in three words! Energetic, modern, and of course Jewish
Any wedding vendors you would recommend? Ketubah – Rachel Jackson of Binah Design, Change of Date – Charlotte Hart
Dream fantasy wedding guests? Jenny Slate, Michele Buteau, Oprah, and Gayle King
Fave celeb wedding? Dianna Agron and Winston Marshall

What do you love most about being a Brides Club member?

I love the connections I made with other brides club members that now exist IRL

ABOUT YOUR JEWISH LIFE

Fave meal to eat together on Friday night? Avgolemono Soup (Greek Jewish origin ) and Carciofi Alla Giudia (Fried Roman Jewish Artichokes)
Fave Jewish festival? Passover
Fave Jewish food? Matzah Ball Soup
Fave Jewish tradition? Baking Challah

FUN STUFF

Top of your Bucket List: Getting married in Italy, of course!
Perfect weekend is… Ian and I have a lot of great weekends but I love a weekend spent on Fire Island which combines a lot of our favorite things; the beach and tiny friendly deers.
Happiness is… connection, family, meaning, and love
