An Eisen Stein Bride for a Jew-ish Wedding with Old-World Flair at Noor Gallery in Jaffa, Israel

13/02/2023 by Karen Cinnamon

Lin-Matt-Noor-Gallery-Jaffa-Israel

When today’s couple started planning their Jewish wedding in Israel, they knew they wanted something different than the norm. Lin, who sets up sales centers, and Matt, who manages a video crew, knew they wanted a cozy, old-world vibe for their big day – and though they weren’t sure how to bring their wedding dreams to life, they found the absolute perfect partners in making their vision a reality.

Lin and Matt’s planner, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Bebke, was key to crafting a truly unforgettable wedding with tons of atmosphere and the European hotel feel the couple craved. Inbar and Gev of Bebke went all out transforming the pair’s venue, Noor Gallery in Jaffa, into the chicest hideaway that would’ve blended right in in Paris, London, or Rome. Inbar took charge of design, while Gev oversaw logistics –  and everything ran smoothly down to the very last detail.

And we do mean the VERY last detail. In Lin’s words, “I didn’t recognize the venue when we arrived on the day of the wedding. Inbar changed the floor and added black and white ‘tiles’ for the European hotel style that we wanted, and it was wild. We didn’t have the budget for it, but Inbar found people to do it for a price that we could afford. We’ve never met people like Inbar and Gev.”

There’s so much to love about this anything-but-standard Israeli wedding – do have a scroll through the wonderful photos by Matan to see all the fab details for yourself…

VENUE

Lin, the bride and Matt, the groom: We got married at Noor Gallery in Jaffa. We wanted something that had a classy old-world vibe similar to that of an upscale European hotel. We had only about 60 guests and we wanted something intimate. The Noor Gallery is an ancient building with lots of history and this venue met all of our demands.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Monique Lhuillier Bride for a Vogue-Worthy Jewish Wedding at Villa Sola Cabiati, Italy

03/02/2023 by Karen Cinnamon

Marta-and-Nick-Villa-Sola-Cabiati-Italy

Get ready to be wowed by the fabulous Jewish wedding of Marta and Nick. We see lots of gorgeous weddings here at Smashing The Glass, but this one truly looks like it could’ve stepped out of the pages of Vogue.

It doesn’t hurt that Marta and Nick chose to wed at  Villa Sola Cabiati on Lake Como – one of the world’s most stunning locales – which they picked not only for its beauty and history but also because it was a central spot for gathering their friends and family from all over the world.

With such an incredible venue, it was only natural to let the setting set the theme, and indeed Marta and Nick opted to keep their day timeless and traditional, in shades of ivory with occasional pops of blue. We’re totally and completely obsessed with their wonderful floral chuppah – don’t miss it in the exquisite editorial-style photos from Roman Ivanov.

And then there’s the dress – Marta had visions of Grace Kelly vibes, and that’s exactly what she found in the Emilia gown by Monique Lhuillier Bride. With long sleeves, a high neck, and lace all over, Marta couldn’t have looked more elegant. We’ll turn you over to her for all the rest about the big day…

A Celestina Agostino Bride for a Colorful, Personal Jewish Wedding at Fortin de Corbières, Marseille, France

23/01/2023 by Karen Cinnamon

Rebecca-Jeremy-Fortin-de-Corbieres-South-of-France

Get ready to be transported to the beautiful South of France, where Parisians Rebecca and Jeremy held their absolute stunner of a Jewish wedding!

The pair fell in love with their venue, Fortin de Corbières, the moment they set eyes on it, and with its epic views overlooking the Bay of Marseille it’s easy to see why. It was the perfect spot for Rebecca and Jeremy’s exuberance-meets-elegance aesthetic, filled with bright florals and personal touches – there are SO many, but just for one don’t miss the name cards made with antique keys! Photographer Moonriver Prod captured them – and all the lovely details of the day – so perfectly.

When it came to choosing a kosher caterer for the special day, no one would do but the best of the best, and that was Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Dany’s Traiteur. Rebecca and Jeremy were thrilled with how delicious and well-presented the food was – and they got tons of compliments from their guests.

There’s lots more to say, but we’ll turn you over to Rebecca, who looked ever so elegant in her

Celestina Agostino dress, for the rest…

How we Met

Rebecca, the bride and Jeremy, the groom: We are both dentists and met during our first year at medical school. For Rebecca it was love at first sight but it took some time before they decided to go on a date. It was when we met again the following year at dentist school that we really got to spend some time together and made it official.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

A Suzanne Neville Bride for a Tuscan Fantasy of a Jewish Wedding at Villa Palmieri, Florence, Italy

20/01/2023 by Karen Cinnamon

Holly-and-Ben-Villa-Palmieri-Florence-Italy

There’s something about a Jewish wedding in Tuscany that just makes our hearts beat a little faster. And the fantastic wedding of UK couple Holly, a business owner, and Ben, who works in acquisitions, captures ALL the most beloved things about this beautiful part of the world.

The couple’s venue, Villa Palmieri, is quintessentially Tuscan, and we can’t get enough of David Bastianoni’s exquisite photos of the day – scroll through them and we guarantee you’ll be tempted to book a flight to Italy ASAP!

This wedding was so much more than all the fabulous details, though – the joy and love between the couple is just beyond, and there’s no better way to experience it than through their wonderful wedding video by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Denee Motion, who, in Holly’s words, “captured the day beautifully and really found the balance of emotional and atmospheric.”

We were also thrilled to hear that Holly and Ben turned to Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Wedding Shop when it came time to set up their wedding gift list. There’s so much more to say – like, how stunning did Holly look in her Suzanne Neville gown?! – but we’ll turn you over to the bride herself for the rest…

Holly, the Bride: Ben and I met on Hanoar Hatzioni camp when we were 9 and 10 years old. We have been best friends since, and became boyfriend and girlfriend nearly 10 years ago.

A Mediterranean Garden Wedding Full of Love, Lemons, and Olive Trees at Beit al Hayam, Jaffa, Israel

09/01/2023 by Karen Cinnamon

Elinor & Daniel, Beit al Hayam, Jaffa, Israel

Some Jewish weddings just make you feel like you’ve stepped into another world. In the case of Elinor, a business manager in LA for people in the show business world, and Daniel, a software engineer, that world is a Mediterranean garden fantasia full of vibrant blue and yellow tones, olive and lemon trees, and, of course, plenty of flowers.

Elinor and Daniel knew they wanted to craft a wedding that would make their friends and family from abroad feel as if they were stepping into the couple’s home – and to make their vision a reality, they opted to work with Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Bebke Productions. Gev and Inbal of Bebke are masters at putting together weddings that transport you, and they were the absolute perfect choice for this very special day.

In Elinor and Daniel’s words, Bebke Productions was “simply amazing,” working closely with the couple and handling every detail of the day with aplomb – as well as creating a killer atmosphere filled with fun touches like signs styled like Mediterranean tiles, an epic cocktail bar with signature drinks, a dining area modeled after an Italian courtyard, and so much more – don’t miss all the wonderful touches in the photos from Jen Sladkov.

There’s so much more to say about this very special Jewish wedding – read on for the whole story!
