Facebook-Live-Smashing-The-Glass
WE love Facebook Lives, YOU love Facebook Lives, and my goodness, have we got a fabulous one in store for you next Wednesday 8th November!

We’ll be live streaming from Claridges, one of the most Instagram-worthy venues on the planet (there are 46,500 #claridges tags and counting!) with one of my favorite wedding planners – the amazing and super talented Jemma-Jade William, founder of Jemma-Jade Events.

Jemma-Jade is an absolute rockstar wedding planner and much-loved Recommended Vendor, and she also happens to be bride-to-be too (Big Mazals from all of us at STG!) so as well as showing you all about how to best plan your wedding on Instagram, you’ll be able to ask Jemma Jade and I all your wedding planning questions. Nothing is off the table – you can literally ask us ANYTHING!

The topic of planning your wedding on Instagram is a hot one. The social network has officially overtaken Pinterest to become the most popular place to score design inspiration for your wedding. From the latest swoon-worthy chuppahs to dream dresses and to-die-for tablescapes , Instagram is dripping with gorgeous ideas, but how exactly do you get the best out of the app when it comes to planning your big day?

We’ll be delving into the best hashtags for exploring wedspo, the secret tools inside Instagram that ensure you keep everything in order (you do not want to be clogging up your phone with screenshots!), the best way to discover a dream team of vendors, and many more unmissable tips and tricks.Continue ReadingContinue Reading

Last Wednesday evening we went live with two of the industry’s most sought-after wedding vendors — Blake from Blake Ezra Photography and Gavin from Imaginarium for the September episode of our monthly STG show.

We went live from my apartment in London and the show was action-packed, super informative and amazing fun to boot – seriously you HAVE to watch the replay here or below, whatever stage of wedding planning you’re at!

Our monthly Smashing The Glass show airs  live on the last Wednesday of every month on the Smashing The Glass Facebook page at 8pm GMT (that’s 3pm EST, 12pm PST, and 9pm in Europe) to coincide with #WeddingWednesday.

Make sure you like the Smashing The Glass Facebook page to be notified of all future shows.

Facebook Live Catch Up: Savannah Miller’s Bridal Collection 2018 {with The Wedding Club}

21/09/2017 by Karen

Last week I was lucky enough to meet and interview Savannah Miller, live from the heart of central London, at South Kensington’s, The Wedding Club.

Savannah is truly one of the most modest and down-to-earth bridal designers I have ever met, not to mention INSANELY talented. She previously worked with Alexander McQueen, Matthew Williamson and Anya Hindmarch, before creating the label Twenty8Twelve with her sister, actress and fashion designer, Sienna Miller.

Savannah’s designs are often associated with  a Boho Luxe style, but I personally love a glamorous structured look, and absolutely adored her collection. Check out our Facebook Live above to see which glam gown I was totally and utterly OBSESSED with!

Facebook Live Catch Up: Wedding Dress Trends for 2018 {with The Wedding Club}

29/07/2017 by Karen

WOW! What a Facebook Live we had on Wednesday, live from central London’s most prestigious wedding dress store, The Wedding Club.

I spent most of it open-mouthed, taking in the awesomeness of the show-stopping  wedding gowns from some of the most sought-after wedding dress designers in the world. I’m talking Berta Bridal, Zuhair Murad,and Naeem Khan – all Smashing The Glass faves!

We were treated to a diverse range of breathtaking looks, from super-sexy and barely-there on one end of the spectrum, to lavish gowns layered with peplums, beading, sparkles and a ‘modern ballgown’ feel.

We also saw some sensational statement two-in-one styles, and overskirts that brilliantly illustrate how you can create two different looks for your chuppah ceremony and party. These drew virtual gasps in the comments boxes with lots of ‘wooooah’s and wow’s. We ADORED all your comments, questions, interaction and shares. Thank you so much!

Facebook Live Catch Up: Jewish Wedding music with Jonny Mosesson

01/07/2017 by Karen

On Wednesday evening we were privileged to host the BEST Facebook Live yet when we went live with the ridiculously talented Jonny Mosesson, the chazan who I had at my own wedding!

It was essentially a Smashing The Glass Unplugged for the June episode of our monthly STG show live from my apartment in London — Mr STG made Aperol Spritz’s for everyone, we had friends over at our place watching, singing and dancing in the background, and the neighbors even joined in!

It was was a ‘Jewish Wedding Music’ special and we were bowled over by Jonny’s musical talents and his wonderful accompanist, Jamie Noar. The live audience, from all corners of the world, expressed their love for the show with loads of hearts, likes and comments. Thank you for being such a great audience – we love the live interaction!

There were so many great songs played including the Hora medley with Siman Tov Mazal Tov (45 mins in), Yerushalayim Shel Zahav (9 mins in) Katonti (13 mins in), Shuvi Nafshi (22 mins in) Boi Beshalom (26 mins 30 secs in), Im Eshka’hekh (42 mins in), Eshet Chayil (38 mins in), and Erev Shel Shoshanim (57 mins in).

 The show was absolutely brilliant and if you missed it, you can still catch up by watching the replay above. Jonny and Jamie were just fantastic and it’s an absolute must-watch if you’re still thinking of ideas for your Jewish wedding ceremony music
