Some weddings just exude Jewish joy – and that’s absolutely the case for Millie and Josh’s colorful celebration in Leeds!
The couple’s vision for the their big day was bright and fun, with a relaxed and upbeat feel, and between their bright floral chuppah, hot pink bridesmaid dresses, and flower clouds floating over the dance floor they absolutely nailed it! Don’t miss all the joyful details in the pics by David Stubbs Photography.
An epic party vibe was key for Millie and Josh, and to make sure they got it right they opted to work with Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Sensation Band. In Millie’s words,
The atmosphere was unmatched! The dancefloor was never empty! They did amazing sets throughout the meal, and had all our guests on their chairs for the main course! Guy Barzily took everyone’s breath away throughout our chuppah, and it was such an emotional special moment.
Read on for all the fabulous details in the bride’s own words!

How We Met
Millie, the bride: Josh and I have a bit of a history, dating when we were 16 and 17 for a year. Then having nearly 7 years apart and other relationships getting back together once we both graduated uni. We had zero contact in those years. I was travelling with friends in 2018, and one of them drunkly forced me to add him on snapchat! The rest was history. Nearly 4 years on we got engaged and 5 years on married. We now live in Manchester, I work in marketing for a financial services company and Josh is a Chartered Surveyor.

A Leeds Wedding
We got married at The Queen’s Hotel in Leeds.
Bright and Upbeat
I had a vision that I wanted the wedding to be bright, fun but have a relaxed and upbeat feel. This was executed AMAZINGLY by our vendors! We had amazing bright floral chuppah on a black frame, bright pink bridesmaid dresses, and 5 floating flower clouds over our dance floor!
Verdure were just incredible, working from 5:30am, let me have a sneak peak when I couldn’t sleep at 6am, always on call for me to message morning noon and night, and worked together great with our production team Hipswing.
We also had a logo that was present throughout, from our invites, to our menus, to inside our kippot, and even on slippers for guests to wear to dance the night away! We did have a planner, we used Nicola at Smooth Operator. Fabulously organised our vendors, and made sure the day ran smoothly!
Invitation
We did Paperless Post designed by Kellmatt printers! Tina designed our logos, and was so patient with me whilst I was so indecisive. Kellmatt also printed all our stationery for the day, our menus, place cards, benchers.
Hair + Makeup
My glam squad were amazing, so calm, so precise, and made my whole bridal party look beyond stunning! Everyone was absolutely glowing and looked gorgeous.
A Sassi Holford Dress
My dress of dreams! It was a bespoke Sassi Holford gown from Harrogate Wedding Lounge. I actually ended up with the first wedding dress I ever tried on. It had the most beautiful pearl skirt, with a satin corset top! Harrogate Wedding lounge were so attentive and calm at all my appointments and fittings!
Accessories + Shoes
I had a fab pearl bow in my hair that matched the pearl skirt of my dress. This actually ended up being my something borrowed, as my sister in law actually brought this to wear at her wedding to my brother in 2021 but never wore it. Jewellery I wore my mums that she brought for my sisters wedding, and it felt so special to have something of hers on me the whole night. Shoes, I have a pair a sparkly white Jimmy Choos.
Bridesmaids
I had 7 beautiful bridesmaids, who all kept me sane the morning of the wedding. They wore the hot pink Maids to Measure dresses and looked stunning! They fit in amazingly with the flowers! My bouquet was the same colour as their dresses, and their bouquets were all multi coloured.

The ushers etc all had a bright pink button hole to match! We also had 7 under the age of 5, 2 flower girls and 5 page boys. All our nieces and nephews, who were absolutely amazing walking down the aisle, and staying quiet during the chuppah.
Ceremony & Chuppah
Unfortunately, I sadly lost my mum 6 and a half years ago, so for me a huge thing was to include her in all aspects of my wedding. I had a bespoke Rebecca Andrews veil made with ‘mum’ embroidered at finger tip length so she was walking me down the aisle, every speech included her, I wore her jewellery and under our chuppah Josh and I both had our siblings and partners, as well as my dad and Josh’s parents. It had the most special and intimate feel with our nearest and dearest around us.

Our music choice
We had the incredible Sensation Band, and WOW did they make a party! For us the atmosphere was so important… and that atmosphere was unmatched! The dancefloor was never empty! They did amazing sets throughout the meal, and had all our guests on their chairs for the main course! Guy Barzily took everyone’s breath away throughout our chuppah, and it was such an emotional special moment.
Flowers
Bold, bright and elegant. Bright colours matched with black frames, for centre pieces and chuppah, with black candles and black chairs, to make the colour pop!

Photographer and videographer
Josh and I aren’t the most confident in front of the camera, and we do end up with some awkward pics. So we decided to go for David Stubbs Photography, who is so amazing at taking those in the moment photographs. We love all our raw emotion photos, and they are just all so beautiful. We had Galaxy London do our videography, we can’t wait to see our trailer and videos to relive the day!

Food and cake
We had Taste by Marc Sharer, and he smashed it! Amazing canapés, meal and late night snacks! His service was unbelievable! People are still talking about his vegan cheese toasties! He was always by the phone whenever we needed him, and his attention to detail on the night was amazing!
Honeymoon
We did a few nights at Gleneagles as a mini moon and we are going to South Africa in March. We always wanted to do safari!
