We are totally obsessed with the bride, Natasha’s fab Monique Lhuillier gown in today’s mega-glam Jewish wedding. The lace, the fit, that gorgeous pouf at the bottom… LOVE.
It’s no wonder lovely Natasha ended up with such a fab gown — as a buyer for Forever21, she knows a thing or two about fashion. So does dapper groom Ariel, as the CEO of an LA-based clothing manufacturer.
From the stunning outdoor palm-tree lined ceremony space (so LA) to the ever-so-glam reception space, the couple’s style is out in full force. And if you needed further evidence of their fantastic taste, they used one of our very own Smash Glass Pouches under the chuppah! Check it out in Wind Productions’ fantastic photo just below.
Beyond the aesthetics, we’re also super touched by the efforts Natasha made to include her parents, who live all the way on the other side of the world in London, in the planning.
She chose her mega-luxe venue partly because it just happened to be the hotel her parents had stayed at (and adored) on their very first visit to her after she made the big move across the pond, and even let her mum and dad design the wedding invitations!
There’s so much more to love about this wedding, but we’ll let Natasha fill you in on the rest…
Old School Hollywood
Natasha, the bride: we got married at the Four Seasons, Los Angeles. It’s actually funny because 6 years ago when I moved to Los Angeles on my parents’ first trip to visit me here they stayed at this hotel. I remember at the time them seeing a wedding while being there and saying what an amazing place to make a wedding… six years later I ended up having my wedding there.
This wasn’t the only reason , it’s close to where we live and very old school Hollywood with a beautiful outdoor setting… but the fact that my mum and dad loved the venue so much swayed me as I always try and make them happy too. As my dad kept saying to me… this is really our wedding Natasha… when you have a daughter and she gets married – then it will be your wedding!
A Fab Planner
I was planning my wedding even before I got engaged – Ariel thinks I am crazy with how much time and effort I spent on the wedding making sure every detail was right; if only he knew my girlfriends and I were planning it even before he asked to marry me! (He probably will know now after this).
However I will add that after the wedding he actually told me how amazing it all was and how even though I drove him mad the last 6 months it was worth it and how he had the best day of his life.
Jenny Kdoshim was my wedding planner — and her and my mother-in-law are now best friends – they got on so well they couldn’t wait for the wedding to be over so they could be friends, ha! And they actually went to dinner last week with their other halves which is so cute.
Invitations by the Bride’s Parents
Funny enough my mum and dad designed my wedding invitations in London. We had them shipped here to send to our LA guests and they were sent from London to London and Israel guests.
My mum and dad wanted to be as involved as they could with the wedding and this was hard with them being so far away, also as my mum had been unwell we didn’t want her to be travelling back and forth for wedding planning as we wanted to ensure she was in good health for the actual wedding, Invitations was something she was able to help with even not being here, and she did an amazing job.
Hair + Makeup
Hair was by Laura Rocha. Really she is amazing; she specializes in wedding hair, and after my trial I knew I was in good hands.
Makeup was by Robert Bryan. He is incredible; check out his Instagram to see his work! I normally wear no makeup and so I had to have someone who understood the natural look — and really he just gets it and gets me! I have used Robert for years and really he is amazing!
A Monique Lhuillier Dress
Everyone told me that you never end up with the dress you have in mind and this is true! I was 100% certain I was going to have a big huge princess dress but in actual fact as many times as I tried to make this style work… it just didn’t. I ended up with a stunning fitted dress from Monique Lhuillier which still had some drama at the bottom and with a gorgeous train… I guess I will keep my princess look for Purim this year.
Diamonds and Rose Gold
I am not a jewelry person in general, I’m very simple and have my late grandma’s diamond earrings in which I never take out. I was the same on my wedding day!
I did however find a gorgeous rose gold headpiece which I wore since I was just wearing my hair down.
Prada Shoes
Metallic silver Prada shoes – which I will for sure be wearing again! I was convinced if I was going to spend money on wedding shoes it should be a pair that I will get use out of!
The handsome groom
The most handsome groom of them all (not that I am biased)! Ariel not only is kind, generous, and funny but the thing I love about him most is he is he is so laid back, chilled, and low maintenance.
He had told me that there was a guy who owned a suit shop in the Gallini, which is a shopping mall near where we live. He told me how the guy is so nice and it’s not designer but he always gets it spot on with suits for Ariel.
I would keep asking Ariel when he was going to get his tux and he always put it off so I started to get nervous. Finally 3 weeks before the wedding he took me to the store and he was right – the owner got it spot on and the first tux he put on was the one he got. They tailored it perfectly.
Walking down the aisle and seeing Ariel at the other end was the most incredible feeling ever, I didn’t even notice anyone around me, all I could do was see the big smile on his face ahead.
Flower girls
I didn’t have any bridesmaids – I just had flower girls, all 6 and under, but they were divine. I think I spent more time making sure they had the perfect dress more so than I did on my own.
A Smashing Ceremony
I had gorgeous ivory kippot with our initials embroidered for our guests, and I had white hand fans for the women since the ceremony was outdoors. I also found the cutest mini tissue boxes that said “for your happy tears” on them which were so cute also.
Our ketubah was by Melody. She was absolutely amazing, such a sweet girl, and was so easy to work with!
Our wedding signage was by Heidi Davidson Design. She also did my mirror seating chart, which was to die for.
Live Chuppah Music
Our processional was instrumental, and then Eli Buzzago from Eli’s Band sung Ariel and I down the aisle. He is incredible!
Fab Flowers
We used Butterfly Floral Design. Inna is the best – there was no question for me with choosing the florist – every single inspo image I had pulled prior to my wedding, even if I didn’t realize it, would end up being from Inna – she is incredible!
Photography and videography
Wind Productions did both my videography and photography!
A Live Band
Eli’s Band of course… I have no words to describe how amazing they are, not only in the performance they put on but in general they are the most amazing people to work with.
A Custom Photo Guest book
I had the most amazing guest book created by an Australian company that incorporated images from our engagement shoot – which was stunning – guests were able to write around the images, and blank pages were also inserted. It was a nude linen outer with our names in gold.
Honeymoon in South Africa
We haven’t yet been on honeymoon, but we are planning a 3 week trip to South Africa, so we are looking forward to that.
