We love a winter Jewish wedding, and London couple Gaby, who works in marketing, and Brad, who’s in recruitment, had a truly fabulous one!
The pair knew going into it that they wanted a celebration that didn’t look like every other wedding, and did they ever pull it off.
The majestic St Pancras Renaissance was the perfect spot for their special day, which featured colorful flowers, a stunner of a gown by Halfpenny London, and a trademark epic performance by Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Ambassador Band. Gingerbeard Wedding captured it all so beautifully – read on for the rest of the story in Gaby’s own words!

How We Met
Gaby, the bride: Brad’s best mate (and best man at the wedding) is my brother. He and his wife decided to set us up, thinking we’d be a great match.
A London Wedding
St Pancras Renaissance was our venue. We really wanted it to be in London, but somewhere easy to get to, not a traditional ballroom (no carpets or curtains), and somewhere that embodied a winter wedding.

A Black Tie Winter Wedding
We always knew we wanted a black tie winter wedding! Gabriella Brick Events was our planner.

Invitation
We used LilyPad Creates.

Hair + Makeup
Ayelet Garson did my hair and make-up.

A Halfpenny London Dress
My dress was from Halfpenny London – totally different style to anything I thought I would go for! I also wore my sisters veil.

Bridesmaids
My bridesmaids wore black dresses to match the winter chic theme.

Ceremony & Chuppah
Our Chazzan was Serge Fagelman who made the whole chuppah so beautiful and intimate.
I hadn’t seen Brad for 5 days so my favourite part was seeing him for the first time on the aisle, whilst Serge sung Boi Beshalom to the tune of Can’t Help Falling In Love by Elvis!

Our music choice
Ambassador Band – they were incredible!

Flowers
Our florist Rachael Barker was perfect for our “we don’t want this to look like every other wedding” brief. We wanted wild, colourful, and all different flowers and she followed the brief perfectly.

Photographer and videographer
We had Gingerbeard Wedding for photos, and Hushabye for films. Again we wanted very different, unposed and more relaxed style photos and a video to match and show our fun side.
Food and cake
We used Eat Me Events.

Wedding List/Registry
We used The Wedding Shop.

Honeymoon
For our honeymoon, we went to South Africa.

Advice to couples currently planning their wedding
Try and enjoy every moment. It goes so quickly! Steal time for you and your spouse whenever you can, even if it’s 5 minutes out of the room with the photographer.
