There’s just something about an all-white color scheme – and we are absolutely loving Adiel and Murray’s monochromatic masterpiece of a Jewish wedding at Florida’s St. Regis Bal Harbour!
The couple’s floral chuppah is just beyond, and we can’t get enough of the gorgeous centerpieces either – don’t miss them in the wonderful photos by Andrew of Luvrox Photography and trailer by Ray Roman!
Another touch we adore? Adiel and Murray chose a gorgeous ketubah featuring roosters from Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor ketubah.com, in honor of the groom’s late grandparents who had rooster figurines throughout their home in keeping with Syrian tradition that roosters are good luck.
We also love that Adiel was committed to wearing a gown by an Israeli designer, and she could not have looked more stunning in her sparkly Berta gown! We’ll turn you over to her now for the rest…
How We Met
Adiel, the bride: We met at Murray’s sister’s wedding in NYC March 2017.
A Domestic Destination Wedding
Our venue was St. Regis Bal Harbor. We live in NYC and wanted to have a destination wedding to make it more fun and a few night experience.
No Obligations
The energy of my wedding was out of this world, it went until almost 5am and everyone was RAGING. We made our wedding about our love and how we wanted to celebrate it. Having a destination wedding also makes it a “no obligation style wedding” so everyone who attended genuinely wanted to be there and celebrate with us.
We didn’t have a specific theme. Everything was white in terms of flowers. But the decor was romantic and modern at the same time. It was really our wedding planner Sara Lowell of Sara Renee Events and production team, Cerka Creative that made everything come to life.
A Berta Dress
My wedding dress was a couture gown from Berta. She is an Israel-based wedding dress designer and all of her dresses are handmade in Tel Aviv, Israel. I always knew I wanted an Israeli wedding dress designer. I wanted the most important gown I wear to be made in the most important and special place in the world, and for me, that is Israel. The gown is very unique because it’s not lace, not beaded and its modern with a traditional a-line silhouette.
Ceremony & Chuppah
We used an antique kiddish cup from my grandfather who passed away for the brachas during the ceremony. Our favorite part was listening to our chazan, Yedidia Jaiat, sing, he is a star and takes your breath away. We wanted a dome shape chuppah to be more out of the box, and Sara worked with us to design something very special.
Ketubah
We got our ketubah from ketubah.com. The one we chose was significant to us because my husband’s grandparents who passed away had an admiration for roosters. In Syrian culture they are considered to be good luck and they have beautiful rooster figurines throughout their home. The ketubah we chose has gold roosters throughout the design.
Our music choice
We gave our DJ, Liv Event Group, one piece of criteria for our wedding: “Nathan, treat it like your own wedding.” We flew out a DJ band (a DJ, percussionist and sax player) from LA his name is DJ Nathan, he like me is Persian and has out of control style and taste. He carried the energy throughout the night, and was the reason why it went until 5AM!
Flowers
We custom built trees with white cherry blossoms hanging as centerpieces and our production company was also our florist team.
Photographer and videographer
Our photographer Andrew of Luvrox Photography has had his work published in Vogue as well as other publications. Our videographer Ray Roman was actually the first in the field to create short wedding trailers and does a lot of celebrity weddings as well. Our wedding planner Sara set up interviews for us, and we just fell in love with both of them.
