When I was lucky enough to visit I was particularly taken with the breathtaking exterior, truly spectacular staircase, and the elegant garden — quite a rarity for a quintessential London wedding venue.
Over the past two years the building has undergone major refurbishment masterminded by one of the most renowned interior designers in the business, Russell Sage, whose previous designs include The Hospital Club, Savoy Grill, The Balcon and The Goring Hotel. With the ability to seat up to 250 guests, or up to 200 with a dance floor, the 10 magnificent individually designed event spaces that Russell has redesigned will suit whatever style of wedding you’re after.
The place is steeped in history too — Bond writer, Ian Fleming was a regular at the bar when the building housed the United Service Club and over the years the venue has been used as the backdrop to many famous films and television series including Gandhi, Foyle’s War, The Dark Knight and Downton Abbey.

Your chuppah can take place anywhere in the building and 116 Pall Mall are also licensed to hold civil ceremonies and partnerships too. If you’re looking for something really ‘wow’ and different, the grand ornate staircase is also licensed and is a truly memorable place to hold a Jewish wedding ceremony.
You can take advantage of the venue’s mouth-watering in-house caterers for a ‘kosher style’ menu, or they are more than happy for you to bring in the caterer of your choice (kosher or otherwise) on a dry hire basis.

Lee Ainsworth in particular was unbelievably helpful, attentive and extremely professional. We had considered having a wedding planner, but in the event there was absolutely no need for this as everything ran completely smoothly.
The food and running of the wedding was so perfect – we can’t think of one thing that went wrong. Having just about resurfaced from the whole wedding whirl, we wanted to say how thrilled and impressed we were with the way Charlotte and Tom’s wedding reception was handled by your team. The building looked immaculate and having such a wonderful space completely at our disposal worked perfectly.
We have had many compliments about the magnificent setting and it was great to be able to welcome our guests on the stunning staircase and then enjoy drinks in the Waterloo Room before seating everyone in the Nash Room for the wedding breakfast. The Nash Room looked beautiful and we loved being able to party on in there without having to relocate for the dancing.
However just as importantly, the staff were (without exception) helpful, courteous and efficient and we all felt extremely well looked after. The food was absolutely delicious and served beautifully — again our guests have raved about the meal — so please pass on our thanks and appreciation to Roger and his talented team.
The whole day just flowed wonderfully and a very happy occasion was only enhanced by taking place at 116 Pall Mall. Thanks from us all and finally, being able to put up the personalised flag really was the icing on the (wedding) cake!”

Laura and I have discussed it and we are sure that we could not have picked a better place to get married. Not only was the venue beautiful but you completely surpassed all of our expectations.
We originally decided to look at the IoD to help cement our views on another venue — at first we thought that the IoD would be too expensive even though we were not entirely happy with the other venue. However a combination of the venue being exquisite and the price being entirely acceptable we decided that the IoD was the correct place for us. In addition, and possibly the main contributing factor to our change of decision, was the 116 wedding coordinator who was the perfect combination of professional and personable throughout our contact and made the decision an easy one to make.
The venue was wonderful, the food was absolutely spectacular (and how the chef managed to make the food that good for 80 people is still beyond me) and all of the staff were brilliant. We were blown away by how flexible everyone was and how Laura and I didn’t have to worry about anything.
