ABOUT SARA

Where are you from? Omaha, NE
What do you do for a living? Occupational Health Medical Assistant
How did you meet your partner? We worked together at a grocery store
When did you first know you were in love? When he brought home live lobster to cook for me, we were just roommates at the time and weren’t dating. He was mortified when I told him I couldn’t eat it but he made me the best steak instead.

ABOUT YOUR WEDDING

When and where did you get married? August 23, 2021 in Boulder, CO
What was your wedding song for walking down the aisle? We didn’t have one. We eloped!
How many guests did you invite to your wedding? Our dog, Duke
What was your favorite part of/thing about your wedding day? Saying I do to my groom after dating him for almost ten years.
Best wedding planning tip? Big weddings are wonderful and beautiful but eloping is so much less stressful
Where did you go on honeymoon? Estes Park, CO
What does marriage mean to you? It means always having someone to lean on when you need it. Someone who knows all of your quirks but they love you even more because of them. It means having someone to support your hopes and dreams, and to always kiss you goodnight.
Has your relationship with your partner changed since you got married? It hasn’t changed so much, ten years of dating and living together so not much is different.
Secret to a happy relationship? Laughter. We laugh at everything and each other, it’s so fabulous

ABOUT YOUR JEWISH LIFE

Fave meal to eat together on Friday night? Pizza or Chinese food from our favorite restaurant
Fave Jewish festival Hanukkah
Fave piece of Judaica in your home Mezuzah

What did you love most about being a BRIDES CLUB member?

They helped me incorporate Jewish traditions in my elopement
