Becca Marx is a member of our Brides Club for Jewish and Jew-ish brides, and we’re so excited for her wedding plans!

Where are you from? Dallas, tx
What do you do for a living? Speech therapist
How did you meet your partner?J swipe
When did you first know you were in love? When I went out of town one time on a girls trip and I felt homesick because I missed him.
 
   

ABOUT YOUR WEDDING

When and where did you get married? Maui, Hawaii on the 4th of July 2021
What was your wedding song for walking down the aisle? Hawaiian version of ‘Somewhere over the rainbow’
How many guests did you invite to your wedding? Invited 250 but had almost 100 attend
What was your favorite part of/thing about your wedding day? Getting to marry the love of my life and having our rabbi from home come. It made it so special having him there with our family and friends.
Best wedding planning tip? Wedding planner if you can afford one. Also to remember that it’s just a day and not to sweat the little things!

Where did you go on honeymoon? Four seasons hualalai in Kona
What does marriage mean to you? When choosing to spend your life with someone, It’s not always easy. It can take a lot of work on some days. But on other days it’s the best. Marriage is a balance. I believe it’s a give and take but when you find that balance and find your way of communicating it’s amazing!!
Has your relationship with your partner changed since you got married? Yes since we are expecting our first child together!!
Secret to a happy relationship? Communication is KEY!!!
 


ABOUT YOUR JEWISH LIFE

Fave meal to eat together on Friday night? Home cooked meal would be brisket! Eating out, I love Mexican food and he love Italian so we will take turns!
Fave Jewish festival Passover Seder!
Fave piece of Judaica in your home My custom Ketubah
Fave Jewish food Matzo ball soup!!!
Fave Jewish tradition Shabbat family meals
Fave wedding gift you received for your home Not sure about favorite but my most used would be my new pots and pans!

Perfect weekend is… Exercise and laying by the pool with friends and a few drinks then relaxing with husband in the evening and watching a movie!
