ABOUT YOUR WEDDING
Tell us about your wedding plans: We have ties to the US, Canada, and the UK but our first home together was London, so it ultimately won. We were pretty efficient, and managed to get most things done in two weeks! Claire at Pan Pacific London has been a massive help, absolutely recommend her. The food options and the location are just beautiful too. We’re both autumnal people, so we’re going for autumnal colours with the flowers, decor, and bridesmaid dresses.
Photographer wise, we contacted a few with Jewish wedding experience but most were already booked up 18 months out! Thankfully, one recommended Dominika Miechowska, and we’re excited to work with them. Anya at Bloom East put together a wonderful floral package for us, and The Happy Chuppah people were easy to work with too.
Lastly, I’d been eyeing a variety of dresses, and was able to secure a quick appointment at BHLDN Chicago, where I immediately knew I’d found my dress. I’m glad I went in person, as I never thought I’d suit a strapless dress – but it’s fabulous. Any other details we have yet to secure like kippahs and the ketubah, I’m sure we’ll use StG resources to do so. Plus, we’ve already had our pandemic mini-wedding, so that takes away some stress.

What’s the most important part of your wedding day? Having everyone come together. Fingers crossed by late 2022 things will be safer, we both have family and friends all over the world that we haven’t seen since 2019 so it will be wonderful to have them there.
Fave Jewish wedding tradition? Smashing the glass!
What does marriage mean to you? Getting to hang out with your best friend for the rest of your life.
Best wedding planning tip (so far!): Excel! Prices, deposits, when we need to book something etc. all being in one place on a shared spreadsheet has made things pretty easy.
Any wedding vendors you would recommend? Pan Pacific London, and Dallas based photographer Tara Arseven who shot our engagement photos! She is brill.

What do you love most about being a Brides Club member?
Being able to ask a question, big or small, and knowing I’ll have someone there to help out.
ABOUT YOUR JEWISH LIFE
Fave Jewish festival? Purim!
Fave Jewish food? Love a latke with apple sauce, or honey cake.
Fave Jewish tradition? Reading the Megillah and booing Haman.
