Jewish Bride Spotlight: Danielle Trainis

30/09/2021 by Karen Cinnamon

Danielle  is a member of our Brides Club for Jewish and Jew-ish brides, and we’re so excited for her wedding plans!

Inside Brides Club, I personally help you to minimize wedstress and overwhelm, and maximize your wedding budget. Oh – and every Brides Club member gets a free smash glass pouch (designed by me) for under the chuppah posted out to them too. Mazal Tov!

Come and join Brides Club too – for advice, discounts, community, sisterhood… and your sanity!

ABOUT DANIELLE

Where are you from? London, England
What do you do for a living? I work as a Global Community Manager for a non-profit called Moishe House
How did you meet your partner? We met on Tinder!
Where did you go on your first date? To a secret hidden away cocktail bar, and then to Wagamama’s for Japanese food…. And then back to the cocktail bar because we didn’t want the date to end!
When did you first know you were in love? It was a rainy london day and I planned a surprise date night to this ‘winter wonderland’ themed place. I was cold so went to get out my gloves and told him not to laugh or judge me for wearing leather gloves. He laughed and said he might judge me, as he pulled out his own pair of leather gloves! I knew then that he was the one!
How long had you been dating when you became engaged?Nearly 2 years (he proposed to throw me off the hint about 5 days before our 2 year anniversary whilst we were away in Santorini!)
What date are you getting married and where?  May 1st 2022 at Micklefield Hall

ABOUT YOUR WEDDING

Tell us about your wedding plans: It’s going to be a really exciting and unique day. We are combining both my Jewish heritage with Dan’s Irish Catholic heritage. It’s going to be a little rustic but traditional, with delicious food and lots of dancing!
What’s the most important part of your wedding day? Being able to commit to spending our lives growing together, and celebrating with all of those that we love so much.
Fave Jewish wedding tradition? Sheva Brachot: we are going to adapt these and have friends and family give a short blessing/wish based on the themes of the traditional sheva brachot!
What does marriage mean to you? It means having a life long best friend to go through all of the important parts of life with: the ups and the downs, committing to supporting that person through everything.
Best wedding planning tip (so far!): It’s never too early to start planning! We started planning ours about 19 months before, and things had already started to get booked up!
Sum up your wedding style in three words! Romantic, fun, emotional!
Any wedding vendors you would recommend? Ambassador Band, Alexandra’s Florist, Micklefield Hall, Filmmakers of London, Confetti & Couture Bridal.
Dream fantasy wedding guests? Idina Menzel & Michael Buble (both to give us a song!)
Fave celeb wedding? Kate Upton & Justin Verlander’s gorgeous Tuscan wedding!

What do you love most about being a Brides Club member?

It’s so wonderful having other people going through the same things you are, and always having people there to ask for advice and support. Sometimes just being able to vent to other people having the same concerns is so therapeutic!

ABOUT YOUR JEWISH LIFE

Fave meal to eat together on Friday night? Always my mums chicken soup with my dad’s famous kneidelachs
Fave Jewish festival? Chanukah
Fave Jewish food? Babka
Fave Jewish tradition? Lighting the Chanukiah

FUN STUFF

Top of your Bucket List: To visit New Zealand (hopefully we’ll get to cross this off next year for our honeymoon!)
Perfect weekend is… A long lie in, inviting our cats to come into bed and snuggle with us, going and doing something fun out of the house maybe visiting a new city, which always involves getting yummy food, then coming home and cuddling up on the sofa! And fitting in spending time with my parents and sister somewhere too!
Happiness is… Feeling so safe, knowing that you’re right where you’re meant to be.
