One of the things we love most about Elmley is that weddings here are designed to unfold over a full weekend. Rather than squeezing everything into one just a few short hours, you and your loved ones have time to settle in, relax into the rhythm of the countryside, and really get to connect with one another.
We also love that, while two-night hire is standard, Elmley can be flexible on the days of hire – for example, they’re happy to do a Friday to Monday celebration for a Shabbat-friendly wedding weekend.
Ceremony Spaces with Serious Chuppah Magic
Another thing we love about Elmley Nature Reserve is the plethora of fantastic chuppah spots. If you’re dreaming of an outdoor chuppah, Kingshill Farmhouse Gardens offer vast views across the reserve, while Kingshill Barn is an idyllic location for an indoor ceremony with serious charm. There’s also The Linhay and Courtyard, featuring a picturesque open barn where you can host a more intimate ceremony. Then there’s The Stables, a stylish modern barn that’s just launching for summer 2026.

A Natural Fit for Jewish Wedding Traditions
Elmley’s array of flexible spaces means they have lots of options for all the elements of your day.
For a tisch, the downstairs reception rooms in Kingshill Farmhouse offer a characterful setting. Some grooms have used one of Elmley’s cabins, complete with private outdoor space, and Elmley Cottage is another popular option, with an open-plan downstairs space and outdoor seating area perfect for serving food and drinks.
For the badeken, there are plenty of private areas indoors and outdoors for a small group of close family and friends. If you’re marrying in the Farmhouse garden, the bride can walk from inside the house, through the door, and straight down the aisle, meaning the badeken can take place just inside the house in the grand hallway.
And for yichud, the downstairs reception rooms of the Farmhouse are ideal: secluded, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and able to be locked from the inside.
Reception Spaces Full of Character
Kingshill Barn is the most charming spot for a reception that truly embodies the best of the English countryside. A Victorian Grade II listed barn with a vaulted ceiling and a huge window looking out across the reserve, it’s relaxed enough to make guests feel at home but impressive enough to create a true sense of occasion.
The Linhay and Courtyard are perfect for drinks receptions and garden games, while the Kingshill Farmhouse Gardens offer a more elegant setting for cocktails and canapés.

Because the site is exclusive-use, the whole celebration can move naturally from one space to another, and your guests get to experience the reserve in different ways across the weekend.
Flexibility for Kosher and Kosher-Style Catering
Another thing we love about Elmley is that couples are free to choose their own suppliers and caterers, either from Elmley’s extensive preferred supplier list or by bringing in their own team, provided they are introduced to the venue and able to visit the site beforehand.

There’s also no corkage fee, and because Elmley is set in the middle of a nature reserve, there are no sound limiters and no curfew – which means you can keep the party going as late as you like.

Stay On-Site with Your Favourite People
Another huge advantage of Elmley is the on-site accommodation.There’s a collection of 10 award-winning cabins and shepherd’s huts, all luxuriously decorated and designed to sit beautifully within the natural surroundings, plus two houses – Elmley Cottage and Kingshill Farmhouse – sleeping 22 to 24 guests across both.
For larger celebrations, there’s also the Bell Tent Village of 20 tents, with the option to pitch more for bigger groups – so guests can stay on-site, enjoy the full wedding weekend, and avoid the end-of-night taxi scramble completely.
