Ali and Andrew’s Jewish wedding was just SO gloriously NYC, and we are here for it! They opted to make it official at the iconic Ziegfeld Ballroom, and took advantage of the prime Midtown location for some incredible couple’s shoots on the streets of NYC and in Central Park. Don’t miss the gorgeous images by Sarah Merians Photography!
We’re also obsessed with Ali and Andrew’s exquisite Art Deco-inspired chuppah, featuring florals in blue, purple, pink, and white – and we love that the pair opted to have their chuppah in the round so everyone could feel like part of the ceremony.
Now over to Ali, who looked so glam in her Oscar De La Renta gown…
How We Met
Ali, the bride: We met in NYC in 2016
A New York Wedding
Our venue was Ziegfeld Ballroom in NYC.
Theme + Planner
Nod to art deco & favorite colors. Our wedding planner was Sara Greenberg from FY Parties. It was a really special experience. Although we had 300+ people it felt extremely intimate.
Invitation
Our stationer was EA Fine Papers, with a nod to art deco and a cool art deco design on the back of the invite.
Hair + Makeup
Hair and makeup was by Bad Brides Club. Took pictures with a traditional hair down style and then pinned it up for the party!
Bridesmaids
Yes I had bridesmaids! They wore soft metallics (light gold/silver) in theme with art deco
Ceremony & Chuppah
We worked with Cerka Creative on our chuppah. It was circle, in the round, as we wanted everyone to feel apart of the ceremony. Chuppah design was inspired by traditional chuppahs + art deco nod.
Ketubah
Noa Attias created our beautiful ketubah!
Our music choice
We had Bobby Attiko Band from Hank Lane Music. Our first dance was a medley of a song written by Andrew’s mother Roberta (called ‘My Universe’) mixed into some fun tunes (‘I Want Candy’ – Aaron Carter & ‘Hot in Here’ – Nelly)
Flowers
Our flowers were blues, purples, whites and pinks
Honeymoon
We went to Rwanda and went gorilla trekking! Stayed at the One & Only. We then went to the Seychelles and stayed at the Four Seasons!!!
Advice to couples currently planning their wedding
Take it day by day and don’t sweat the small stuff! you only (hopefully!) get married once so enjoy each moment and don’t wish any moments away.
